I don't post on here very often but I do spend a crazy amount of time on here every year reading when we are planning our yearly trip to the Wonderful World of Disney!!
Last night, my husband called to book our trip for September (first time going then..usually go first week in May). I had received a PIN that for some reason, doesn't have a "book by _____" on it so I wasn't in a rush. When he called and told them, the CM told him that it expired 6 weeks ago. Hubby is far too nice and didn't ask more about it...he was just so happy to be booking a trip!!
Anyhow, during the conversation, apparently he asked if we wanted the free memory maker deal which I had said not to get because I had read the thing about paying for it even if you switch discounts (and we are praying FD is released for our trip dates). Hubby kept saying no and finished booking our trip. When he got off the phone, he said he was VERY disappointed with that experience and that he did the review on the phone and gave him VERY low marks. He was pushy, not friendly, not "Disneyish" like we have grown to love when dealing with the CM's.
THEN when we got up this morning to see the confirmation e-mail, he had put us through WITH the memory maker!!! The price was a bit lower than what I had researched on the site and I couldn't figure out why but I guess that is the reason.
I am planning on calling tonight to see if I can still use my PIN (it's a room discount one-we are staying in POP so it's not a ton but it's better than nothing!) that doesn't have a book by date and find out why he booked us a package we didn't want! NOT a great start. :-( It can only get better right????
