We booked a stretch limo with Happy Limo months ago and even though I guess in the scheme of things it is not important, we weren't that thrilled. They were 20 minutes late picking us up (which the guy at the hotel said was very typical of them) and we had to call twice. They finally made it by sending someone from another company. Of course there was no ice etc for the drinks. Once again, I know that is petty, but the kids were looking as forward to that as a lot of the cruise!!! It just starts your trip off a little bad. The driver was great. It was not his fault!!! It was the company's.

Next time we will try someone else!!!! If I pay premium dollar I like premium service!!:( :(

Unfortunately, I also had a poor experience with them. I used them for my last cruise to and from the Port. They were late for both trips. On the trip down, they were so late, they did not bother to stop for my promised grocery stop. That would have been ok, except I think they should have told me they weren't stopping because they were late.

Same thing on the trip home. Disembarked from the ship and waited and waited and waited. Another limo company driver tried to help me, but both trips upon trying to call Happy Limo, all I could get was an answering machine.

Do not plan on using them again here.

I just made a reservation with them the other day, and now i am really having second thoughts about using them. I may just have to cancel the reservation and think of some other way to get to the port.

That is why from MCO to the Radisson we rented an Avis car for $37 a Buick Century and we did our own grocery stop with no rushing and on the way back since we had an 11:45 a.m. flight we took the Disney busses, and I must say they were quite comfortable, they put cartoons on the T.V. and the driver tries to be a little funny himself. If you can't rent a car, I say take the Disney transportation, they will definitely be there.

That is always my concern with a limousine company. Never sure if they will show up or be on time. I also opted to rent a car from Avis (definitely a savings) and take the DCL transportation back. If you have more than 2 people then the car rental is a savings. If it is just 2 of you then I think the DCL transportation comes in around the same price and a nice ride!

Well I am so confused now. I was going to book with happy limo for December, hubby wanted to just use disney trans. again but I liked the idea of a soda stop. I thought they were a good service-yikes what to do???

I still think I would use a limo service next time just not Happy Limo. We did the bus before and I like the limo because it is just our group and it gets you to the port ahead of the bus if they show up on time:) The driver got us there in record time!!!

From all accounts, most of the other companies were there on time. When we got there, there were several already standing out with name signs. I think we just had a bad experience with ours.

It's a personal choice, but I like the limo service.................Didn't mean to scare you off..........just be cautious of the company you use. Also, the Hyatt desk said they could have a limo waiting on you within 10 minutes of the call much cheaper than we got ours!@!!! That 's a thought also.

Ok, I've done all three ways now, and maybe I'll be able to help you desice one way or antoher.

1) You can rent a car and drive over, as the above poster says this gives you time to stop somewhere along the way. There's a 7-11 at the first offramp east of the airport, if all you want is pops and ice. Or, If you want more there are a number of good grocers in Cocoa Beach that are right on the main road.

2) Tiffany towncar was prompt, and quick to get us up from the shipto WL where we stayed for a few days after the cruise. I'm sure they can accomodate you.

3) The Disney transfer. The real no-hassle way to go. They give you tags to put on the luggage that they will claim your luggage at the airport and do its transfer right to the door of your cabin. They transport you between the airport and the terminal in very nice air condiditoned tour buses(NOT the WDW buses).

We used Tiffany Towncar on our last visit. They were waiting for us at the baggage claim (land trip). They were prompt and curtious. I obtained my info on them from this website...
www.disneynation.com. I hope this helps!

We have used Tiffany in the past and were very disappointed in their service. Their drivers were late picking us up at the airport and the cruise terminal. We waited a good while for our Towncar at the crusie terminal. Tiffany had sent a large van to gather everyone and take us as a group. Most folks went in the van, but we had paid for a private Towncar. They had to call a driver in for us. That driver didn't go out of his way to be friendly.
If I were to do it again I surely would not use them. There are to many other companies in Orlando that you can use.

Before you panic about Happy, check out the DIS Transportation message boards. You will find plenty of reports about them and the other transportation providers. Most of what I see over there is positive, and we've had great service from them ourselves.

Barb, I am inclined to keep my ressie, because I value your opinion, and if you have used them lots, then maybe they are OK. I will think abuot bumping up my time though, and ask to be picked up at least a half an hour earlier so I can make sure to allow if they are late. It looks like all the companies charge about the same price for one way trip to the pier.

Good idea...we usually have a later flight, but we too like to allow some leeway when it's critical that we get to the airport early. One thing I like about Happy is that a couple of trips ago I booked our pick-up for later than usual...don't know what I was thinking! But they know us by now and were there earlier anyway...I thought we were going to end up waiting, so I was glad they knew better than I did :)
Something can always happen (plane for previous party can be late, traffic, etc.), but we have been extremely fortunate in all the times we've used them. I just wish that the Chicago area companies were as reliable. We drive to the airport now, after having too many no shows and other problems.
