Disappointed with H and V.

Just returned from Disney. We ate at Hollywood and Vine. We did not enjoy the food or customer service. We had planned to eat there twice, but after reading plenty of negative feedback on the DIS, we cancelled one of the reservations. We did not get one refill on our drinks, and the food was warm and bland at most. My family will never eat there again.

I've had breakfast and lunch there and both were forgettable meals.

We dine there ONLY for my DS4 to see his true love "June" from the Little Einsteins. This trip I had an ADR for breakfast and my DH asked me to please cancel it. We'll wait on any line however long, to meet June but will not eat a meal with her!

However, some people love it. Some kids LOVE the singing and dancing. Mine don't. They like to watch, but we hate the food and the service isn't great.

It's something to try once.

Sounds like our experience there last monday morning. We did not get one drink refill. We waited FOREVER for our check and the server pointed out the gratuity twice...kind of cocky for someone who didn't do his job if you ask me. However this was the type of service we received at almost every restaurant durning our trip. The food was pretty blah...we will not be back.

Ugh! I have an ADR there for the Fantasmic package - have not been able to get Mama Melrose. I have read some good reviews but it has been mostly bad, want to cancel but would hate to stand in line for hours to see the show.

I'm in the same boat..but I really do think I'm going to cancel. I decided I'd eat a nice meal at 50's Prime Time and then just bite the bullet and wait for the show. H&V just seems like it has too many strikes against it.

That about sums up our experience too but add in an hour wait past our ADR time (it was the holidays so no where else to go).

This is one place that we will never give a second chance...just gross

We had the long wait as well, along with the bad food. We had a fantasmic dinner package and waited about fourty-five minutes past our ADR time to be seated.

Did not enjoy this meal at all, Fantasmic seating is only worth it if you are going during peak seasons.

That is what I am thinking - October is not a big crowd month and the night we are there is a Sunday and they have 2 shows scheduled.

We ate there last year for the Fantasmic package. The food was terrible, and so was the service. So much so that we won't be doing this again, even though getting the Fantasmic seating was a plus.

It's a shame. I think they realize they don't have to do better, because they will always have reservations because of Fantasmic.

Unfortunately, I don't think Sci-Fi is any better, IMO. Also, my MIL went with my neice and nephew this past July, and while they loved the place, they hated the food, said it was the worst meal of all the places they went. Try 50's Prime Time, if you don't already have it down.

Sorry...that was our experience--twice!!! At least 30 minutes past our ADR time (with plenty of available tables); little to no service; filthy condtions; medicore, bland food which was lukewarm and that is when there was food and we weren't waiting 10 minutes for refills. We tried it twice--it won't get a third chance.

We ate there yesterday and it was so/so food and service, there really is no-where great to eat at DHS... we alos had two ressies for H & V and will be cancelling one..

You see they get us on decor and characters. My kids want to see the Einsteins for breakfast/lunch (NEVER AGAIN GUYS!) and the Sci Fi is known for it's cool decor but lousy food. We're trying the Sci Fi for the first time but I'm already telling DH "it's a burger joint" ONLY order the burgers! Because he will see the menu order something else, then hate it! I think if you go in expecting the worst you have a better shot of having a decent time. For us, it's just about a break from the parks and having some sort of entertainment factor to keep the kids behaved while we eat.

I'm hoping the Sci-Fi is better than H&V.

I do love the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Never had a bad meal there.

H&V is one of the worsy buffet meals at Disney. Now that I think about it, I'd say it is the worst. We tried it out right before it became a character meal and it was AWFUL! Thought we'd give it a try since it always look packed, but never again.

Our experience was very similar, extremely poor service (no refills and no busing of the table to take away plates). The food was awful (hard/dry breads, luke warm food).

I guess that's why they changed it to a character meal. Now they are selling admission to be with characters rather than decent food.
