disappointed in guide

called guide to be put on wait list for oct use year for add on, 50 or 60pts at bwv our home, or wlv. asked her what place on list we were, she said "no way to know". we bought a resale from timeshare store after dealing with her at Vero. she called and said she would still be our guide. is she not trying because we didn't buy from her. would she take care of the people that bought from her first. also said DD is a cast member at a disney store back home. DD gets 15% off. is that her commision. HELP!!

I could understand your guide being disappointed that you chose a resale, but I would guess that it happens fairly frequently. Also, I don't believe that a CM discount would significantly affect their commission.

My best guess is that the guides are just super busy right now with all the activity at BCV and leading up to the price increase. So, maybe a 50 point resale that may not happen this month is just not her top priority RIGHT NOW.

I know that when I contacted my guide for the first time this week, I was surprised how anxious she was to get off of the phone. She gave me a brief overview of the club, but made no attempt to really 'sell' me on the idea. I guess they just don't have to try too hard this month.

Let's try to give them the benefit of the doubt, shall we?

So, does your DD's discount apply to your purchase? That's great. Maybe I should put my 5 yr old to work at TDS. Or maybe not...

I had an experience with my guide too. I wanted a small resale of 50 points and i felt she was playing me so she could sell the points I wanted to someone who wanted more points. This is when the Boardwalk was selling out. After stringing me along for three weeks I told her to forget it and I would look on the resale market and probably buy more points. It was amazing how my fifty points became available thirty minutes later.

Needless to say I purchased another 350 points on the resale market and not from Disney. While my guide is still my guide, she basically has done nothing for me except try to sell me something. I really would like to have one of the guides that pays attention to you occaisionally. Then they probably would have gotten more of my business.

Wow, I keep reading how many people are disappointed with their guides. My guide has always called me back on the same day - she leaves dates she will be out office on voice mail and an alterante guide if one is needed. I have been on a wait list for OKW for a while - she tells me "the secretary" has the list. When your name comes up regardless of how many points you want, your next to be called. I need to believe her since she does not have an "exact number" of how many points I want. She knows I feel guilty (but it's my money and she knows I am tired of waiting) but I have started to lookat re-sales. She said I waited this long, wait one more week for BVC and she has always given info on BCV. Stay Tuned.

i guess i should be patient, but we would like 50 more before the price increase. i'm hoping, after all, this IS Disney!!!! thanks for the help.

We too are waiting for an OKW add on, but are now considering picking up 50 points at BCV before the price increase.

I have been patiently waiting to purchase at BCV. I just told my guide that I am starting to consider a re-sale. My guide said, I waited this long, wait another week - I doubt NY will be approved next week. I have also read that some guides will give out no info. to NYers for BCV. She has tried to answer my questions regarding BCV and has not shut me out. We currently own at OKW - and we have also been on a waiting list for a small-add on with Disney. Sorry I wasn't too clear.
