We went to WDW 26 May til 3 June. Stayed at AKL. We were disappointed in the quality of food this time. Our last trip was Sept 01.
Dinner at Sci-Fi: I had salmon. DD had steak. Salmon was completely raw. Sent it back to be cooked. DD's steak was good.
Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare: Loved their thick-cut bacon! Unfortunately, scrambled eggs were unhealthily undercooked. Very gross.
Lunch at Rose and Crown: I had Guiness Stew. DD had Cottage Pie. Very good.
Dinner at LTT: We ate fairly early (before 5pm) but the pork loin looked like it had been cooked a few days prior. Discolored and dried out looking. Did not touch it.
Boma for breakfast and later for dinner: After all the rave reviews, I just was not impressed. Had a good variety of "different" choices, I just thought the food tasted bland. Perhaps the spices were too subtle for us since we live in New Mexico and are very used to mexican food.
Jiko: Better than Boma!!! My daughter got ticked because she asked for a steak knife and our waiter took her plate and cut her steak for her, saying that they didn't really have steak knives. She is 14 and did not appreciate being treated like a toddler. Waiter thought he was funny. I thought it was tacky. I had salmon. Food was good.
Cape May Buffet: They did not have crab legs to order that evening. Our waitress basically ignored us. Other waitstaff cleared our plates and brought drink refills. She kept walking past us. I ignored her when it came time to pay the bill - no tip.
Overall quality has diminished recently. Not just food. Cleanliness of parks. Level of service. Attitude of CM's.
Nothing dramatic. Just rather disappointed in quality this trip.
