Hi. Gina, Congratulations! I'm very happy for you.

Well, I did it. I rejoined South Beach on-line.

So much going on that has made me re-evaluate my life.

In a nut shell:

DH has been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and will be having an operation very soon to remove the kidney. He has a solid mass 9cm tumor on his right kidney.

It's been crazy over here.

I can't let crazy spin me more out of control cause I can see it happening.

So I am taking control now.

Hey Peeps!

Been a Super Busy Weekend. My Bridal Shower was yesterday! My mom did an EXCELLENT job, she did a Disney Themed Shower. There were the cutest Minnie's ears, Minnie Shoes and Minnies Pocketbook as Centerpieces! She gave away the cutest authentic WDW souveniors such as Mickey backscratchers, Mickey Bottle Opener, Mickey Salt and Pepper Shaker, Mickey Timers, Mickey Measuring Cups as Prizes!!! We played the Toilet Paper Bride game and the winner got the movie Enchanted on DVD!

I cant believe how many gifts I got!!!! My parents basement is filled with stuff! and I cant believe how many Disney style Gifts I got..I even got the Swarzoski Mickey Mouse soo beautiful!!! It was so amazing how generous everybody was.

Ive never heard that before! I'll definately think about it!

i'm so tired! we went out for 2 friends' birthdays last night and didn't get home until 4:30. and not by my choice, either. i was ready to go around 1:00. we finally left at 2:30, then we had to go by mcdonald's because everyone was hungry. then we had to take another friend home who lives way outta the way. needless to say, next time i'm bringing my own car! but i am proud of myself - i didn't drink any alcohol and add unnecessary calories to my intake yesterday. and for dinner we went to bahama breeze and me and anna split a grilled chicken dish, so i was good all day!

Wow, you were so good! I always go out with the intentions of being good, but somewhere along the way my good intentions turn bad! I have no willpower!

Hope everyones having a good day. Ive been super busy today! Im running the Race For Life again this year, which is a 3km run which raises money for Cancer Research, so I went jogging this morning, then I came home and did ALL my gardening, repotting summer plants etc - Im beat now!

WTG! I probably would nto ahve been able to be that good all day long. I am not good with peer pressure and temptations!

I am so excited... stepped on the scale this morning and I was 166! Back to my pre-WDW weight!!

Plus, I tried on pair of Gap size 10 khakis from the "thin drawer" (and probably from 2001) and they fit. Still on the tight side, but able to button, zip, and walk around and even sit.

Only 16 more lbs to go to initial goal weight...

Love the pictures, it looks like a fantastic party! She did a great job! You are adorable! Dont know if I had ever seen your picture before. And arent all those gifts just so much fun?! I still use most of my wedding/shower gifts regularly and I still remember who gave them to me. I am weird that way. Like every time I use my Krupps toaster I think of my friend Andy who gave it to me

Long boring weekend here for me. Lots of resting which is good, but boring. I am trying to be sure I at least drink my water since I cant even do more than an hour a day or so out of bed just yet. Ick. I feel like a whale just sitting around all day. The good thing I guess is that I have to have pretty much all my meals brought/served to me...so it is easier for me to stay on track when I cant help myself to seconds or junk food

I am completely overwhelmed this morning. I stayed at my mom's in staten island and I woke up and went in the basement and there are piles of gifts. I still cant believe how much stuff I got! After I drink my coffee, and workout (which I must do I did not have that much self control this weekend) then I am going to go to Target and get huge bins and organized everything..fun day esp in this heat we are having!!! The ac is on full blast!

Good Morning Peeps!

This morning I have to take my Phoebe to the Vet. She has been licking the top of her paw for over a week now and won't let us go near it. I did catch a little peek through her black fur and it looks red/irritated. My mom said she felt a bump but I think that it's just her normal bony-ness. I get so nervous that it will be something serious...my cat had this weird non-cancerous growth on her neck and it was disgusting and just kept getting bigger and bigger, and then she must have scratched it and it bled and looked just . Sorry TMI. Anyway, wish me (and her) luck today!


Monica - So sorry to hear about DH. What is the next step for after the srugery? Thinking of you and your family

Marriage proposals, wedding showers, people on the mend oh my!

It's nice to read about the happy things.

Right now we have been without power for 21 hours. But six houses down they have power!!!!: The "almost" tornado wipped out our power and phone lines. Just got the phone lines back.

The neighbor hooked us up to his generator so my fridge is saved! there is no fix in sight and more storms are on their way.

Tim ran out as the storm was racing toward us to tell the lady cutting her grass to get in her house and when he was running back a huge limb from a neighbor's dead tree feel right in front of him!

Day 2 and doing great on South Beach cause it's the one diet that works for me and makes me skinny and happy.

And my sanity.

There's so much I missed over here but I tried to go back and maybe I confused a name or two.

Oh, and THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE FOR YOUR THOUGHTS, PRAYERS, WISHES, PHONE CALLS, AND EMAILS. I am so gratful that he is being prayed for by so many wonderful people. Gosh I just love you all.

wow...i don't see how you're dieting with so much going on! good job! sorry to hear about the storms. where are you again? my aunt lives in indiana on a lake and the national guard had to come get them out of their house in boats because heavy rains there flooded the whole area. they think their house is probably totaled and they won't get to look at it for another 2 weeks they say. crazy weather!

I facebook! I joined so much later than everyone else, I didn't 'get' all the fuss over it but its great! Ive connected with a lot of old friends who I lost contact with after school finished, and some old work collegues too!
