hi, peeps! i miss you guys. i haven't been able to keep up AT ALL with all the work i've had lately. things are good on the diet front. i'm having LOTS of family drama right now which isn't fun and stresses me out, therefore i'm not eating a lot anyway. not fun. and right before our disney trip.....kind of a bummer because i will be worried about said family drama while i'm there. :sad2: i don't have time to read back, but i just wanted to say hello and i hope everyone's doing well.

we leave in 2 days and i'm looking forward to it.....i think. isn't that odd? i'm so nervous that more drama will ensue while i'm gone and therefore we may have to come home early or i won't be able to enjoy myself. ray says that's silly. everyone else tells me that i need to remember i'm not responsible for everyone else. it's just hard for me to understand that. anyway, i'm trying to keep a positive attitude about it.

wish us safe travels......we leave saturday! :)

Dawn - Sorry to hear about your family problems. Have a safe and wonderful trip :)

I weighed myself this morning. I am not happy with what I saw, but since it's not Friday yet, it doesn't count, so hopefully there'll be a change by tommorow.

DF and I got engaged a year ago today. It doesn't seem that long ago. I don't think the year went by particullary fast, but it doesn't seem like that long ago, more like a month then a whole year.

Despite it being a whole year, we really haven't done any wedding planning, though due to his health, not only the heart problems he had recently, but also a broken foot last spring/summer, and the fact that I still live with my parents, as well as some things that have happened with his family, a wedding is not our top priority.

I know some people think it's horrible that we haven't really done anything since getting engaged, but I really don't get how it's anybody's bussiness but ours on how long we wait. I would rather take my time planning a memorable wedding, then throw together some ceremony and reception quickly, and not have it be what I really want. Of course marrying DF is more important then any actual ceremony or reception, but we knew when we got engaged that it would more then likely be awhile, before we actually get married, and we just want our wedding to be special.

I do know the exact cake I want though. :rolleyes1

Jillian Michael's workouts ROCK! I know I have said it a couple of times on this thread but I can not stress the results I am seeing by doing her workouts. In January I was 154 pounds, this morning I weighed in at 130! :woohoo: I even have a slow metabolism because I had a partial thyroidectomy two years ago where I take 2 medicines called synthroid and cytomel daily for the rest of my life. I think the cardio with weights seriously makes a big difference. I have done cardio with the weight with the workouts called THE FIRM and have NEVER seen the results that I have with the Jillian Michael workouts.

I usually do the 20 day shred one week and then the other week I do the 5 disk set called Jillian Michael's THE BIGGEST WINNER! the days I dont do the workouts I go to the gym and do some cardio like spinning, kickboxing or do a turbo jam workout at home (So FUN!) and I do take some days off from working out here and there and on the weekend ease off my diet and eat what I want

I think the 5 disk Jillian Michael Biggest Winner is alot better/harder than the 30 day shred but they are both super effective.

BRAVO! to you on getting into size 8 jeans!

WOW! Those are great results!! I wish I could do DVDs at home, and that my gym had kickboxing. I just can't get into DVDs. I have tried them before and for some reason, I give up... I need the accountability of the gym to keep going.

I have gone from 192 to 168 (my lowest "unofficial") since Feb 5, and from a 16 to a 12, so we have had about the same net loss. I just do lots of cardio (elliptical/arc/ice hockey), abs, weight training 1-2 times a week, and keep my calories at or slightly below 1200, with a cheat night every 2 weeks.

Thats awesome..super good results too! if i had already lost 20 lbs or so since january i would be psyched!! :)

Last night I actually went to bed hungry for the first time since I restarted WW about 2 weeks ago. I only had a small rainbow roll and i piece of salmon sashimi at dinner..BECAUSE while waiting to go I was starving and I had a light cheese stick, a handful of REAL chips ( ) and about 6 mini eggs..those little buggers need to leave the house! So i was afraid of going over so i think i UNDERate at dinner. Stupid. I know i have flex points i just dont' like using them unless its the weekend and FAR from Weigh in day. oh well..you live you learn!
Tonight I am going to play tennis with my friend for a workout..I'm psyched! I think i might add some lunges, crunches and push ups to the mix too with her...our own mini bootcamp lol! :rotfl:

have a wonderful day!

I go to bed hungry a lot. I stay hungry a lot, actually... but I have learned to live with the feeling.

Tennis sounds great!

OK everyone in your family is all grown up now! Let them work things out. They have to learn to do it sooner or later. You just enjoy your trip. Maybe it was planned for this time for a reason. Don't let this ruin your vacation!

YOU have a great trip there!!!! Enjoy it...you are such a sweet thoughtful girl that i am sure its hard to just forget about stuff that is going on with other people..but just remember..you deserve a vacation that IS a vacation!:goodvibes
Safe travels :)

Dawn - Have a great trip! I hope it is very enjoyable, this is your "relaxing" trip, correct? Hopefully it will take away some of your worries. I know when I went in 2006 it helped take me out of a horrible downbeat mood I was in, (I had a very close friend pass away two weeks before my trip,) and being in Disney helped. Hopefully your problems are less upsetting.

I'm all over it! Thanks for the headsup!

Eh, there's no hurry!

Don't worry, no one is judging you here! I think you can sigh a huge sigh of relief now. (Hopefully!)

Planning the wedding is the best part!

Hope DF is getting better!

Gayle, I've been catch up reading. Almost there!

Dawn, look at it this way, The drama will happen whether you are there or not. We all stress over family stuff, even when we "say" we don't care. Everyone needs a break from their extended family from time to time. If there is anyone I "know" from here who deserves a nice vaca with her hubby it's you. You've been crazy busy. Go, turn off your cell phone (well you can check messages) and relax with your DH. It's your anniversary! Right?

You did not take that second job for nothing!

The most amazing thing is happening to me next week.Every year my DH and boys go on a fishing trip for 5 days.I usually am left trying to make sure my girls have a good time and don't feel too left out.Well the other day my MIL and her best friend(my kids call her Aunt Iris) asked if they could take my girls on a four day trip.:scared1: I said yes before they even told me where! :woohoo: I will be by myself for four whole days and I am so excited. This has not happened to me since I got married 13 years ago.

I keep thinking about eating only when I am hungry and waking up when I am ready to get up.I have been on a few short trips without my kids but never without kids and DH.:cloud9: I think I am going to rent Juno and 27 dresses.I may have to go off the diet for a few days and munch on some goodies.:goodvibes The only downside is that my best friend is going to also be out of town.:sad1: That would have been some awesome "girl" time.

My official 20 pounds off photo WITH CAKE :rotfl2:
