ok, so I'm changing my ressie to 2 rooms at POP as I type and am on death hold because of a computer glitch.

But I get to listen to disney muzak!!!!!

Anyways, the computer was double booking me and adding 4 more kids to my ressie!


Crazy, all fixed and we now have 2 rooms at Pop. At first he was putting me right next to the pool. WAIT!!! Hold it. I like to sleep at night. Put me away from the pool. I just want some standard rooms. But away from the pool at night.

Last time everytime we came home from the parks, that pool was jammed packed with kids, even at midnight.

During the day empty. My family had the pool to themselves.

Half Marathon (and *ahem, yes, Kat I need to add an installment... ) PUNKIN - you are so funny - y ou could so whip my butt! - and if I had NOT stopped for pictures, my time would've counted, and I would've finished faster than 16 min miles - - but I kept thinking "I may never pass this way again, enjoy it.." so I listened to that little voice inside of me and stopped where there were no lines!!

I think you made the right choice. You can always crash POR if you just want to enjoy the atmosphere for a bit. That's our redneck way!

I have a ressie for Port Orleans riverside. We get a trundle and a crib and a refridgerator, and 2 queen beds for 10 days. Me, DH and our 4 kids.

I can get 2 rooms at a value, which means 4 beds, 2 bathrooms for 100.00 more total.

What would you do?

I'm thinking of the space, and the extra shower/tub and toilet. 2 parents to get the kids ready at the same time.

I know you already decided - I say Amen! Ten days is a long time - that extra space will be very valuable!

I had some other things I was going to say, but I think I napped for awhile after I started catching up, and when I woke up I couldn't remember everything (anything?!)! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I have an opinion question for you all.

POR is my abosolute favorite resort, but for that long a time I'd probably opt for 2 rooms at a value. There are 5 of us going to POR in March for 12 days and I know it's going to get crowded, if we had to add a crib in the room I think it would put me over the edge! As the time goes on we just get more and more crowded in the room, because we buy things and their are bags and stuff all over the place. You might even want to consider a split stay ande do 5 days at each resort, that way you get to have you POR and then some roomier accomodations later in the week.

I never thought my problem would be that I wasn't eating enough. But this will give me some good guidelines so I don't do that any more.

Aaron....I never counted fat or carbs but I do try to get in 30 grams of fiber everyday. You'd be amazed at how much better/fuller you'll feel when eating plenty of fiber. But really....the calorie formula does work. I think you could eat your daily allowance in Cheetos and it wouldn't make any difference...you'd still lose weight. (But you'll feel better and get to eat lots more food if you fill out your calories with healthy choices.)

For building up confidence, my DS' 2nd grade teacher recommended Cub Scouts, and she was right. So I pass that on. For your other DS, encourage him to read what he likes to build up his comprehension. Books as gifts, trips to the library as a treat, etc. Compliment him and listen to him when he tells you about those books (maybe even read some of the same ones and have a "book club"). John Scieszka, a very gross, funny author, has a website called guysread.com with lots of suggestions on books for boys. Then, when your son has to read something not interesting to him, remind him that you know he can comprehend it, that he just needs to use his brain the same way he does with the books he likes. And then reward him when he does well on that reading (I spent 9 yrs. as a youth librarian and 7 as a school librarian before moving to the classroom).

And Sandy, my adult sons never remembered my birthday. Now 2 of the 3 are married and I do get cards from the DDIL's.

Melinda, can you post again about the fiber in your diet--what you eat and when? I remember it was in the other thread. I think I need to do this to get my body in gear to finish up these last few pounds. Plus I'm battling hunger. Low fat means little protien so I have a hard time getting my brain to believe I've eaten enough. Perhaps adding fiber will help with that too.

Yesterday, I got to walk in a t-shirt, it was so nice out. It's too early to tell yet today but I hope for another day like that. I do have to go to work though but I'll walk when I get home. And Monday our gym at work will be complete.

And the Disney music is too painful for me. When I hear it, I want to be there RIGHT NOW. Patience is not one of my strong points.
