I'm ready to pull my hair out! Figuring out my son's high school schedule is driving me nuts! Please send me some smart ! When did registering for high school become a class all on its own?

Here's some pixie dust for you We just saw our guidance counselor too and picked out our classes based on what we were going to do after HS, college or not.

i want to apologize if i offended anyone with my story about the girl i waited on that was confused by the lack of pictures in our menu at longhorn's. it was not meant to be rude or careless...just a story i shared because i was shocked when she said that to me.

I wanted to apologize if I offended anyone with my response. Sorry.

For all of you Peeps that have been to Disney World in the month of June:

How was your trip? Was it too hot? Was it too crowded? What did you like about it? What didn't you like about it?

That's such a sweet story about your DS and I would be booking it right now but I will say I went in the beginning of June (around 3rd and left around the 13th) and it was very hot and very crowded. I said I would never go down again in June and it's probably because of the heat more than the crowds. It's totally up to you though.

Just checking in to say tomorrow is baby day I will be going in around 10 and the baby will be coming around noon (central time) I will be in the hospital until Sat most likely, and then I will be home to post some pictures. I still cant believe it is over! I dont feel ready AT ALL. I am sad that Amanda will not be my baby anymore, and excited that she will get to be a big sister at the same time. It is going to be SO weird to have another child by this time tomorrow! I gained the exact same amount this time around (16 pounds), which is so weird that it worked out that way. But they say he will be only around 7 pounds, and Amanda was so much bigger. It will be weird to have a baby sized baby

I will be thinking of you. I never had normal sized babies. DS8 was 9 lb 4 oz, DS6 was 8 lb 7 oz and DD2 was 9 lb 4 oz. I was all baby. Only gained around 20 lb with each of them. Good luck and post pictures as soon as you can of our new little member.

We went to the FOO FIGHTER concert last night at madison sq garden it was awesome! we drank last night alot

ate pizza last night at midnight!!!! very un peep like but it was the best nyc pizza i had eaten in a lont time so it was worth it

looks good! i did this too - made my itinerary before hours came out and i ended up changing a bunch of stuff around. i'm not saying you will, but just warning you that you may be doing a little rearrranging. you have lots of days to work with so it shouldn't be an issue if you do have to change stuff.

i haven't been in june but my best friend went last year. they were very hot and she said their MK day was awful. i would definitely follow tour guide mike's least crowded park days if i went in june! also, consider that gay days are sometime in june. now i personally wouldn't have a problem with this and would look at it as an opportunity to have a discussion with my kids about different types of families. however, not everyone feels this way. so i'd definitely check those dates if that's an issue for you.

Just came back from the Dr. for the girls rechecks. Mal's has an ear infection. Just makes me mad that Saturday I know they didn't see one, and today she has a majorly funky looking ear. Has had a fever since Friday night.

She is miserable, but managable. She is a trooper, and baby is fine.

Trying to get the prescription is a whole nother story.

Dr. office faxed it over for my convienence. Go to CVS, they snarky lady sticks her head out the window and says, you can't just expect to drive over here and pick up the script. We didn't even receive it yet, those things take time.

Well the last time I used technology like a fax, it takes seconds to send info. I just looked at her, held my tongue cause I was taught to and drove away.

I called the Dr.s office from the parking lot, and they called CVS and sure enough, it was there. To avoid a scene I went home and sent DH to pick it up.

honestly..we went in june and then in dec. last year and june was horribly hot and crowded...we still had a TON of fun, but it was very rainy and muggy. I know that isn't what you want to hear, but like i said..we still had a TON of fun..and if you take the time to seek out AC and pools..you should be fine!! We went from the 12th till the 19th fyi

I saw that post, I thought that other posters tone was off, and their was nothing wrong with what you posted. That person also seemed to attack me, when I said they could still look at the pictures on the first thread. There aren't a lot of pictures on that new thread, I hope there will be more soon.

And so the decision was made (although it makes me sad) not to go to Disney World this June for a week. Instead we will continue to add funds to our vacation savings club & we will go to Disney next year, possibly in June. On the bright side, we will be flying & my husband has agreed to us staying at least 2 weeks. At least 14 days of pure Disney magic. It will be a combo anniversary trip, youngest son's birthday trip, & my anticipated nursing graduation trip.

Well, I've never been in June, so I can't help there, but I love long trips, when you don't have to rush as much. My next trip is 13 days.

Luckily I walk so much there, I lost two pounds on my last trip. That wasn't with the deluxe plan though.

I use TGM, so as soon as he releases his LCPC, I'll only be changing things around if I feel I need to based on them. I usually post my intinerary over there, and while I love some of the tips I learn on his site, the posters always say I have too much planned, and should plan in more breaks, and going from park opening to closing is too much. But it's not too much for me, and I rarely need breaks.

Thank you for all of the kind words and support with regard to my grandfather. They x-rayed his chest and he has pneumonia. They sent him back to the nursing home and are doing tests today because he is peeing blood. It just keeps getting better and better...

My husband & I were orginally planning a 10 year anniversary trip for this upcoming June. This would have been a solo trip without the kids. However, I think that our plans have changed based solely on my 4 year old son. Read on...........

Last night, my youngest son was in a crying/whining mood. When I asked him why he was crying he gave me a dozen different answers: he wasn't ready for bed, he didn't want to go to school, he didn't want to brush his teeth & I made him anyway, and supposedly I called him an idiot (which I did not do). He then cries for a glass of water, which I get for him, and then he tells me, "Mommy do you really want to know why I'm crying. I'm crying because I really, really want to go back to Disney World. I'm also crying because I want my birthday to hurry up & get here so that I can get taller because I want to ride Mt. Everest." As he is telling me all of this he is sobbing really hard. I told him that we would try to go back some day soon & then I rocked him gently until he went to sleep. Afterwards, I told my husband & he immediately shook his head, with a smile on his face, and informed me that he didn't think that he could leave the boys for a week while we go and have a great time a DW. I'm soooooo glad that he was thinking the same thing as I was.

I have to say, we went in June pre-kids and it was VERY hot and VERY crowded. We said we would never go back in June again. It was fun but we didn't see everything we wanted to and got pretty frustrated with all of the lines.

Not pathetic at all. I told my DH this past weekend when everyone was sick that I wouldn't mind being admitted to the hospital just for the peace and quiet. In factm I was joking around and told him I would stand in front of the car and let him hit me as long as he didn't go above 20 mph...

Poor kid!! Here's hoping she doesn't share it with you and the baby. You were much nicer than I would have been to the nasty pharmacy woman. After taking care of sick kids, I tend to be a bit quicker to anger and less likely to hold my tongue.

I had to go to the doctor's today to get my blood tested, so I had a fun morning. My arm is still really sore, and that is from three hours ago. Except I did switch band-aids, from a really boring regular one to a Snow White one, so at least now when I look at my arm, I get to see a princess.

I almost overslept too, since I had to be at the doctor's at 10:00, and I didn't wake up until 9:00. But I got all of my errands done this morning right after the doctor's, which was going to the bank, I'd been carrying around checks I got as birthday gifts for a week now, as well as two paychecks, so I was in need of going to the bank, but I always keep on putting it off, and I made a run to a produce market in town, where I can get fresh fruit and vegetables for really cheap. I picked up a bunch of leeks, (among other things,) so I could make a leek recipe I tried a few nights ago again.

Monica - I went to Walgreen's and the doctor's office was dialing the phone number as I was leaving the office to get our coats on. I then dropped off DD2 home (she was the sick one), stopped at Walmart now I go into Walgreen's and they tell me it's not ready yet because they just got the voicemail (that was over an hour ago that the doctor's office). They have that voicemail system and don't aswer the calls right away and wait until it's convient for them, meanwhile we have sick kids in pain, not feeling well. Hire more people then I say. I bit my tongue too and rolled my eyes and walked around the store for 20 more minutes until it was ready.

About going to Disney in the summer.

We went last July. It is really HOT! and humid. Expect rain almost if not every afternoon. This was our plan of attack. Up early and in line for the bus for the park with morning EMH. I was at the bus stop by 6:50 with my breakfast bar in hand and on the bus around 7 and usually in line at the parks by 7:30. Pretty much the first person in line as well. We would do all the big stuff and then head back to the hotel around 11 or 12. Eat lunch. Quick swim and a NAP!! We were up around 4 or 5 and back to a park and dinners were at 8 or 8:30 pm. Sometimes we did evening EMH and sometimes we were back to the hotel by 11pm. On the day we went Typhoon Lagoon, once again we were up early, 3rd person in line that day, We did all the slides multiple times and splashed in the wavepool for a while. It started getting crowded around 11am, so crowded that it was standing room only in the wavepool so we decided to call it a day. We did try and go to DTD during the day. WAY TOO HOT!!- Too much cement to reflect that heat. Next time I'll do DTD after dark. I was really anxious about going in the summer- now i'm from alabama so the heat wasnt my concern but I was worried about the crowds. It was crowded but I think we either got lucky or my plan helped but we never waited in line more than 30 min for anything. Hope this helps. Have fun!

I've started my own blog of reviews of Disney food, though I'm sure I'll be posting about other things. I have it on restricted access, so I have to invite people to view it, since I am going to probably be including personal information, but since it is mainly going to be a Disney food blog, I figure I'd invite all you Peeps.

Right now I only have one post up, but I am planning on adding posts about my early trips to Disney, (when I was a teenager,) as well as my more recent food reviews. It will probably get more trip reporty then most of my dining reviews I've posted in the past have, and include more personal info, but it's my blog, so I can post whatever I want, LOL.

All I need, if any of you are at all interested, are e-mail addresses to e-mail the invite to. Also comments are welcome on my blog, since I've never done a blog before, and would love the input.

OMG!!! I was attacked by the Girl Scout Cookies last night myself I bought 2 boxes and put them on the table in the breakroom and instructed the rest of my co-workers to eat them all- that there was no way I could go home with any cookies. I did have a few thin mints. So I guess I'll be on lettuce and water the rest of the week.

Oh Dawn, don't feel so bad. I've got 14 boxes on their way. And no children to share them with, just DH and I. So what are the odds of me being good? The most I can hope for is that I get sick of them before they are all eaten. Those Thin Mints are the best cookies in the world to me and 12 of those 14 boxes are Thin Mints. Yikes.

that picture is the BEST..evil little green goblin girl! so far i have escaped the cookie monsters...i turn my head when i see there "lair" set up at the grocery store...lol!

so...i will not be able to weigh in this friday..i am leaving bright and early for a spa weekend up in Freeport maine!! i am going with Greg's mom and a bunch of her knitting/spinning friends..i can't wait! I will be sure to take pics and report back..one saving grace is there is a nice fitness center at the inn we are staying at..so that should help burn off the free afternoon tea calories!!
