Happy Birthday Punkin!
Have a great Mexican dinner!
Oh and how does eveyrone always know eachothers birthdays? and real names for that matter? is there a list circulating I dont know about?

thank you! the dinner was great! normally we get tacos de pollo asada but we got chicken and shrimp fajitas tonight instead with corn tortillas instead of flour (i like those better) and, of course, a 1/2 pitcher of margaritas! :dance3:

by the way, i forgot to mention another point about that pill that gives you AF only 4 times a year or whatever. when i heard about that, i was very interested and made the comment that i wanted to look into it in front of ray's mother. she said something that made a lot of sense (which is VERY rare!).....it's not normal to not have your body clean itself out on a more frequent basis. there's a purpose for having AF every month and the fact that you don't get to flush yourself of that "stuff" in your body is not good. now she's no doctor and neither am i, but i did think that made a lot of sense!

gotta go......ray's playing johnny cash in the living room and i can never resist me some cash!

have a good night, everyone!

Oh no! Woman talk!!! :scared: My poor eyes!!!!! :scared1:

UtahMama - Nope, no sisters for me. My poor mom had to raise four boys -- her three sons, and my dad. :rotfl2:

Seriously though, when ever I see PMS or Aunt Flo or anything like that, I just skip ahead to the next post. Doesn't bother me at all. It just makes for some pretty quick skimming some days.

I just got back from a really fun night out with the boys, but I'm afraid it might give me another bad number this week. One of my closest friends is going through a really nasty breakup, so a couple of us decided to take him out for beer and pizza to cheer him up. A place in town has a 7-meat pizza; they say a large is 4.5 pounds of carnivorous pleasure. I only had about four square slices and two Spotted Cow beers, so I didn't do as bad as I could have. But it isn't as good as I should have. I was down about two pounds this morning, so we'll see what kind of negative effect this has on me this week.

About 100 pages or so back, we did this little survey thing so we could get to know each other. I found it a couple weeks ago when someone else joined so she could get to know us. But it is close to my bed time, so I'll try to find it in the morning. Anyway, one of the questions was your first name. And I suspect some people keep a little cheat sheet with this info so they can call people by their first name. I only know like two other names for no real reason at all. I know that Punkin is Dawn, and UtahMama is Wendy. But besides that, I just use screen names because that's all I know. And come to think of it, I call those two people by their screen names, as well. (Mine name is Aaron, by the way. So feel free to call me by that if you would like.)

um....yeah. the johnny cash is no longer playing. it's now alice in chains, so i'm back on the computer....

you're allowed to cheat when it's to cheer up a friend!

thinktink - i meant to tell you what aaron did about the first-name thing. but as far as your birthday, melinda keeps up with those and is the official "happy birthday" poster, so send her a PM with your birthday (and age if you want). which brings me to my next question.....does anyone know when melinda's birthday is??????

That's so sweet of you to ask!!! My birthday has come and gone.

BUT.

If you're birthday (I'm talking to everyone!) is not on this list...PLEASE let me know via PM. Thanks!

I do have naturally wavy hair. That sophomore pic of me - that was, in fact, a perm. I used to get piggyback spiral perms back then. They lasted FOREVER because of my naturally wavy hair, and my senior year I actually had the perm stripped out because it wouldn't go away! So, yeah that's a perm, but dont' ask me why I got them because I probably could have done something similar with my hair without the perm. I guess I wanted the extra POOF! :rotfl:
Wavy hair here too...and very thick hair. I begged my mom for a perm in 6th grade, and then cried every day until it grew out for close to a yr. It was HUGE. If I didnt put tons of stuff it in and make it look wet, I looked like a poodle. I always wanted pretty curls, or perfectly straight hair. Guess we never want what we have, huh?

my mom called me this morning and told me that my great aunt died earlier today. she's been really sick, had bouts with cancer for years. they told her she was clear of any cancer a year ago and then a few months ago it came back and she refused to have surgery or be admitted to the hospital or anything - she just wanted to stay home with her family. anyway, very sad, but very expected. she lived a good life and had a big, loving family and died happy, i think. at first i was kind of upset that she died on my birthday, but then i realized it made it kind of special.
Very long story, but my grandfather died on my 17th b-day. When the phone rang that day I knew it was that, even though he wasnt sick. Ever since I have felt very connected to him. So much so, that DD (who of course never met him) has told ME stories about him. She claims HE told her  And turns out the stories are things I (nor anyone else in the family) has ever told her but are true. :rolleyes1 Also, my Aunt passed away a few yrs ago at xmas time. She had a few bouts with cancer and the last time she made the same choice as yours. To stay home and enjoy what time she had left. Very sad to see her go through that but she is in a better place now we know. Still miss her bunches, she was only 57.

so is there anyone still devoted to "so you think you can dance" like i am? i just LOVE that show! my favorites tonight were sabra/dominic and lauren/neil. i wish i could move like that!

ME! I still love it and watch every week. I loved Dominic tonight. Not sure who for the girls. Jaime is amazing, but no matter what they style, she looks like she is a ballet dancer :confused3 Lauren and Neil were very good too. I really didnt like the 80's jazz routine at all. Not a fan of the choreography or song. Just didnt do it for me at all, but I love Pascha. Not sure who will go this week though! I dont really like Anya and I am not sure why the judges always say such fantastic things about her every week.

OH, and can I just say all this AF talk has made me very grateful to be pregnant right now! I forgot how much fun it is to NOT have to have that lovely visit for close to a year

I think I did that but didn't know why I was not too long ago myself. Haha! Thanks!

And Punkin- I didn't add you to my quote because it was about your siggie... first of all what resort is SSR? haha! I leave for WDW on Sunday and I am so already planning my next trip! lol! :rotfl:
DBF says I have to wait until after we are like married and stuff so I am planning an extravagant one in my head... maybe like a Land and Sea cruise.... :rolleyes1
Anyways... also, I remembered you mentioning going with a friend is that the "Girls Trip" in your siggie? How did getting a room and stuff ever work out? I didn't remember you posting about it but, again, always looking for tips on how other people pull off trips... ;)

I dont remember very many names either...but I have I sort of picture you as an Aaron. It suits the personality/picture I have now made of you in my head. Weird how we do that-sort of assign characteristics or feelings about a person just from reading their posts. Or am I the only one who does that?? ANYWAYS, You 'seem' like an Aaron to me ;)

Off for a date with my TIVO. Got to catch up on my soaps. Goodnight peeps!

I don't remember names well in real life! I know some names here, but I don't always use them. Sometimes I would have to go back and look at the signature (and those don't show up on the history underneath a new post) to be sure. Somehow I see it worse to get it wrong than to just use the screen name, I guess.

Mine is easy since my name is Kat. Well, technically Kathryn, but some of my friends call me Kat and it is easier to type anyhow.

I got out all my stress and aggression today on exercise. I did 30 min on the elliptical at lunch today to keep from killing people/computers, and then had my hour of ice hockey after work to keep from taking it all out on DH. Man I will sleep well tonight... just wish the hot tub wasn't broken, sigh.

it's not normal to not have your body clean itself out on a more frequent basis.

The brochure said that since you weren't ovulating, the "stuff" didn't build up the same... that's why "pill periods" are lighter than "menstrual periods". Either way, I'm not going to take that particular pill any more... if any. UM's solution sounds good to me right now.

And Punkin- I didn't add you to my quote because it was about your siggie... first of all what resort is SSR?

I'm not Punkin, but SSR = Saratoga Springs Resort. It is one of the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) resorts. My daughter and I spend 12 days there last July.

hihi!

is this a weight-loss thread for just anyone who is trying or is losing weight? :goodvibes

yes, everyone's welcome. Glad to have you...

tried to post this at lunch, but the board wouldn't let me.

Happy Birthday, Dawn! Hope you have a great day!!!!
I hope it was a great day! What a great birthday gift - the flowers!

Hi, Lynda! I got my quotes mixed up - I think I knew you had waves, but Cherie is who I was noticing when I typed that. Her hair totally reminds me of mine! I never knew/know what to do with mine.

ps Thanks to whoever challenged us to crunches and water. I did 100 extra crunches last night, 15 extra minutes on the bike, and I don't think I quite had 8 glasses of water, but I got a lot closer than I have lately!

About to do the same again! 2 days in a row....

'Night!

Except for getting my tonsils out when I was 2, I've never had any kind of surgery. Wonder if I could get someone to do a combination tummy-tuck, breast lift, umbilical hernia repair, and hysterectomy all at the same time! :lmao:
If you do,see if we can get a two for the price of one deal!!My Dr. told me after Rachel that I am a perfect candidate for a tummy-tuck.Thanks Doc for noticing!!

For some reason I lost all my quotes except for this one....

Happy Birthday Dawn!!!!

Okay I had wanted to mention my pretrip report here and didn't know if I should but then celerystalker did so...anyway its not real funny but if ya get bored....I would love some input....

Melinda-

We had a really good time. Flying was not fun for me though. Panic attack including tears. I took your recomendations with me but we went against the grain and did the am EMH and some of the pm EMH with a swim and a nap during the heat of the day. My kids are older so it worked for us but I saw alot of weary parents and some whinny toddlers -so for those I wouldnt recommend it. But we were able to do most of the major stuff and be out of the park by 11 or 12 and then we headed back about 4 or 5 pm. My dinners were between 8 and 9 pm. We normally eat that late at home too so no big change for us.

Oh, do you all remember that I was taking DH1 boyfriend? Well, he went. But apparently they broke up pre-Disney and werent speaking so he was miserable and asked to go home. I put him on a plane home just 3 days into the 10 day vacation. Lesson learned. . . LET THE BOYFRIEND PAY HIS OWN WAY!!! Or better yet- no friends allowed on the family vacation. We had a good time anyway.

Oh, and one more dining review- 50's primetime- we had a blast!! food was pretty good but the most priceless was seeing DH1 with her nose to the corner for saying "whatever" to the waiter- all in fun of course- she's not a smartmouth- well, most of the time.

My niece is downloading our pictures- I'll get her to help me post them

Gotta run!

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

Hope everyone is having a happy day before weigh in. Don't forget to have a bowl of FiberOne and drink your lemon water! :)

I had a complete lapse in judgement yesterday and stopped at Great Clips on the way home from work. Knowing there were no children at home and being tired, tired, tired of my hair, I pulled in and got a haircut. I have some serious washing/styling to do this morning to see what I really think.

It'll grow...it's just hair...right? And did I tell you my DD17 bleached her hair blonde two weeks ago?? REALLY blonde. Do you see her in the black dress in my siggie picture? TOTALLY BLONDE! I just keep telling myself...it's not a tattoo, it's not a tattoo, it's not a tattoo.......

NANCY....Good job on the crunches, bike, and water!!!! :thumbsup2

DENE....I don't see why a plastic surgeon couldn't do all those surgeries at once? Heck....have you had your wisdom teeth out?

SPARKIE....I'm glad you had fun! That's what's important. Sorry about the panic attack. DD always asks if we can take her BF along. Nope....who'd take care of the dog. (Frankly I see enough of him as it is!)

MELMLANTZ...:welcome: We are more than happy to have a new peep!

KAT & AARON....I don't keep a cheat sheet on names but have just been around so long that I've picked up most names. A lot of people have them in their siggies so that's an easy way to check. I think we all answer to screen names or real names.

HAVE A GREAT DAY, EVERYONE! :flower3:

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHYDAY TO YOU STACEY!!!

Yesterday was not a good day!!! Do you ever seem to have days where nothing is giong the way you had planned. Yesterday morning the builder showed up to take some measurements to see how much paint we needed and at the same time the AC guy came. I left my laptop open because I did not realize both were going to show up. Well the builder went to say hello to Joshua and said Heather he is taking off the keys to your laptop :headache: I had not vlue how to get them off but a 22 month old sure does. I found all the letters but the letter "C". It is just a void on the keypad. That was just the beginning of the day. I think I hear the builders again so I need to go.

That sounds stressful enough and you said your whole day was like that. Here's hoping today is much much much MUCH better! Weekends almost here!
