Hi Peeps!

Welcome to our new peeps! And Happy Birthday MaPigletFan!

Today was a fabulous day! My therapy sessions went great! And I didn't have the burden of my supervisors breathing down my neck because they weren't there.

The funny thing is that this morning I was laminating in the crush's office (which I use the word office loosely. It's more of a student room where he does most of his work). Anyway, I'm laminating and it is just me and another girl. Well I did 3 of 4 papers and the 4th paper wasn't coming through the laminator. Then I heard this crunching sound. And then it jammed. Oops. Of course I had to be the one to jam it. But it turned out to be the best thing that could of happened today. I actually do feel really bad because the laminator is really important for us clinicians but he reassured me that it was fixable...he just needed the right tool.

Anyway, during my 1st therapy session, I made a collage with my client. She took hers home and I kept mine. As a joke, I gave mine to the crush as an I'm sorry for breaking the laminator. He smiled and laughed and gave me a hug! A long hug with a squeeze. :confused3

And then I went back in there after my last session to do some paperwork and he sat down with me and we talked for over an hour! The good news...he likes Disney! Epcot is his favorite. He hasn't been since 2005 but still he knew a lot more than most do and he loves the cheesy slow rides, just like me! :cloud9:

Here is another development. As we were talking he suddenly realized that I was in clinic 2 which means I'm leaving to do my externship in the fall and I won't be around as much. Well he asked me what my plans were. I told him I'm staying down here since its where I live and he said "good". So I laughed and asked why is that...he said "because I don't want you to go". So of course when the time came to ask what his plans were he said he is doing one down here in FL and not sure about the other. I told him he should do it here. And he asked why...and I said because I want you to stay here. :goodvibes

I know I tend to read more into things but this was a huge development. And I was flirty and chatty and not nervous at all.

Ok, sorry, I know a lot of you are "over" me talking about it. I'm just excited and happy and my girlfriend hasn't called me back yet.

Hope everyone had a great Thursday! Tomorrow is Friday...yay!

Woo Hooty!!! Sounds like that interaction went well! :thumbsup2 Good for you! And I am SO not tired of hearing about it. More! More!

well, we got another car. we decided to keep the VW convertible since it's paid off and we got a 2001 ford focus ZX3. it only had 33,000 miles on it and they were only asking $6,800 for it. you can't beat that! it's burgundy and in very good condition. i'm happy with it! not our dream car, but it will get DH from point A to point B with air conditioning.....and that's kinda important in georgia in july!!!

hope everyone had a good day! tomorrow's friday......have skinny dreams!!! :)

Hey! Congrats on the new car! :cool1:

Have I mentioned I'm going to Disneyland on Saturday? :woohoo:

i'm so jealous! have fun!!!!

Congrats on the new car! My dad has a Focus and loves it! :thumbsup2

i've heard nothing but good things about them from people that have had them. and we coudn't pass that up with such low mileage. apparently a little old lady traded it in and she never drove very far. ray's just happy to have cold air!!!

Wooooo hooootie! Great job! It sounds like you played it just right, and he sounds like he's interested. I don't know about the rest of the peeps, but i am thoroughly enjoying hearing about this.:)

Have I mentioned I'm going to Disneyland on Saturday? :woohoo:

Is everyone having hot lemon water tonight? I signed up for Sparkpeople this week, and I've been really good for the last 3 days, but I'm afraid last Sunday's M & Ms binge did me in. Good luck to everyone on weigh-in.

Wooo hooty for me! Hope tomorrow goes just as well although I don't really have the luxury of sitting there all day...I'll be in camp.

Have fun at Disneyland! I've never been (something else the crush and I talked about...we both have the same feelings about disney stuff although he is not nearly as obsessive as I am. We joked (ok I was totally serious) that we should drive to Epcot some weekend.

Congrats on the new car! My dad has a Focus and loves it! :thumbsup2

I didn't really want to quote this but I'm loving your new ticker! Yay for babies!

Hi Peeps! I went to a school supply store sidewalk sale today and I got so many good deals. I was so excited! It is a good thing that I became a teacher because I love new school supplies. I hope everyone is having a great day.:goodvibes

I am loving the Alice in Wonderland theme. The tea cup is too cool. I agree with what you were saying about the new HOH. There is going to be MAJOR drama with that person.

Congratulations on the new car!:)

YAY for the new car! That is a fairly decent model from what I know of them...and A/C is a good thing, no matter what the vehicle! I bet he is just thrilled to get from point A to point B without being so icky he needs to change his clothes :rotfl:

Shannon, I love here your crush stories. I just hope your first date doesn't turn out like Dene's!!!! :lmao:

Add me to the SO NOT OVER IT group! I love hearing stories about people's lives.

punkin, congrats on the new (to you) car!!

I need some lemon water myself, I think... been doing pretty well this week on food but missed my workout today because I worked from home (gym is 25 min away, right next to work).

And, not sure I mentioned this, but I passed my wellness program and will now save $40/month on my insurance premiums. Since my Mar appt, I had lost 19 lbs, 4% bodyfat, and brought my blood pressure down significantly. She was very pleased.

Hope everyone sheds at least 2 lbs overnight!!

Congrats on the new car--at least new to you-- those kind are the best.

Who here has a MAC? Since ours crashed DH has been looking and keeps going back to this. He has 2 for his business and loves them and hardly has any trouble out of them. I was just wondering what other people thought.

Hard to sleep with Rebekah practicing her flips and tumbles. Hopefully she will settle down soon because tomorrow will be a long day. DH is heading to New Orleans for the day--he has a lunch meeting that we really need to go well. Off to play Spider Solitare and Text Twist. Have a good night.

Hi everyone! I am so happy to have stumbled across this board. I have lost 50# in the past year with another 50# to go. However I haven't been to the gym in months, and have really slacked off watching what I eat too. I haven't gained yet but know it's only a matter of time at this rate. I finally lost enouh weight to get out of the fat-lady dept in stores and I don't want to go the other way! So thanks in advance for your motivation and support!
:cheer2:
congrats on your success - and welcome!
aaack my very sweet co workers had a suprise cake for me today! :scared1: I couldn't say NO to a cake in my honor, right??;) So i had a small piece..i am still gung ho about having a nice piece of my mama's homeade one tonight though..guess i better go to the gym tommorow!!!
HappyBirthday! One of the greatest things about making these permanent changes is that you can have a piece of cake and just know that you do need to work out a little extra or be extra vigilant with your eating for a few days. Enjoy your splurge!
Can I be a peep? I have been lurking around for about a month on the DIS trying to get my bearings... and figure out how to post and all. And I definitely need this board! I do WW but I have been so uninspired lately. I am really determined to get into the best shape I can for my WDW trip next month. All that walking, you know? Actually, much more concerned about all that eating! Hey but what happens at WDW stays at WDW, right? Hmm, somehow it always follows me back. On my backside, KWIM? Ok. Can't wait to meet all of you and hear your stories!

BTW Happy B-day to MAPIGLETFAN. I turned 30 this year too!
Welcome!

Y'all moved quick! I'm guessing DH was getting tired of Georgia in July!!

Surely that deserves a wooohooty! That's great - getting healthy and saving money too!!

'night everybody!

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

Hope Friday the 13th is a great weigh-in day for everyone!

NEWBIES...post your weight loss/gain at the top of your post in bold bright numbers.

I stayed up WAY too late last night watchinig a movie with DD.....Nicholas Nickleby. If you haven't seen it, it's very good.

I've just been skimming this entire week and spending lotsa time with kiddos. I'll have time to catch up tomorrow because nobody is ever on the DIS on Saturday.

Sandy....I'm just now reading the Order of the Phoenix. I have actually never read ANY of the HP books. I picked this one up on Monday to see how the movie would start out and now I'm way into it. Yes, they have left out a lot but my neighbor says that I need to go on and read this one and half-blood prince because there are a lot of important details. Bravo to your DH for attending the midnight movie. I just can't stay up that late.

Punkin
....NEW CAR!?!? :cool1:

Shannon....We never get tired of living vicariously through our single peeps! More please!

Dene, Stacey, Danielle, Nancy, Tara, Heather, Jen, Belle, Lynda AND EVERYBODY ELSE......... :wave2:

Cotta & New Peeps! :welcome: I lost the weight I wanted to lose here and now just hang around cause I like the company. Here's the method I used from caloriequeens.com...

Learning to live with food, not without food.
The hardest part about our sensible approach to weight loss is convincing people that it works. When we tell people that we've lost three hundred pounds eating fabulous food, they simply can't believe it. For most of us, trying to lose weight has always been associated with feeling deeply deprived while eating horrid food. But we'd "been there, done that" with the deprivation and horrid food. A lifetime of "yo-yo" dieting is how we got to be so fat!

Most of us with weight problems no longer have any idea what it takes to support a healthy weight. We're always either dieting or planning to diet. And when we're planning to diet, we're EATING! How do you lose weight and keep it off? You have to stop dieting, stop planning to diet, and start learning to eat correctly. How do you begin?

Choose a reasonable goal weight. Calculate your daily caloric intake using the following formula:
Female: Goal weight in pounds X 12 calories/pound = Daily caloric intake
Male: Goal weight in pounds X 14 calories/pound = Daily caloric intake.

Start eating a well-balanced diet that contains this number of calories.

After a few days, take a good, hard look at how you're doing. If you're not happy with the amount of food that maintains your goal weight, you have two choices: you can either start exercising or you can decide to weigh more. If you lose weight by eating less food than you're willing to subsist on forever, you're wasting your time. As soon you start eating more calories, you'll start gaining weight.

If you lose weight by "practicing" to maintain the weight you wish to achieve, you'll know how to sustain it when you get there. And we're living proof that it's possible.

EVERYBODY HAVE A LUCKY FRIDAY THE 13th! :flower3:

wow.....where's everybody at this morning? i can't believe i'm first! ETA: melinda beat me to it! i guess great minds thing alike?

welp, i'm -1 poundtoday.

hope everyone else has great numbers!!! (except for the preggos, of course! ;) )

i'm off to juvenile court. have a good friday! :flower3:

I finally bought some crocs!! I used to despise them but have been visiting the shoebuy website quite a bit the last 2 months...not buying though.

I found a 30% off coupon so I bought them..the pink mickey ones. I think it came to $25. I love them BUT I don't like how they are for two sizes. I am the lower of the 2 so they are a little floppy. I don't like using the strap either but have no choice when I take the dogs for a walk..otherwise I deal with it.

No regrets though! :thumbsup2

Sadly, I gained 1.9 pounds over the past two weeks, which means I have to give back my 30 pound ribbon. :sad2: But hey, 28.9 pounds lost is nothing to sneeze at. So I'm cool with it; especially when I consider how lousy I've been eating because of our lack of a stove or oven. All of the pizza, Chinese takeout, and fast food I ate these last two weeks while preparing to move, and then finally moving, got the best of me. But things are looking up. The range was delivered last night, and the past few days I've gotten back on track with recording the points of everything I eat, so hopefully I'll get my 30 pound ribbon back next week.

Good luck to all this week!

Punkin - my father in law bought a Focus two years ago. He loves it, especially the gas milage. And the new HOH? Ugh. Can't they change the rules for just one week and allow the HOH to be nominated for eviction?

Happy Birthday Gina!

almost forgot..i am a samer this week
Hey i will take it, with AF and birthday stuff all week..i think thats not too shabby :)

Good Morning Peeps!

I know I've said that I haven't really been all that serious about watching what I eat and staying on track, but I have been weighing myself once or twice a week just to see how the numbers were looking. Well I weighed myself this morning and I'm down almost 4 lbs! I know I weighed myself sunday or monday but I can't really remember the exact weight. So I just deducted it from my ticker. I'm still not completely gung ho with it just yet but that was definitely a little kick in the right direction! I knew my clothes were fitting looser :thumbsup2

Have a great Friday Peeps!

P.S. Thanks for replying to my crush drama!
