Good Morning All!

I've been MIA for a few days, as it has been busy here. I have finally gotten my weekends back and DH & I spent alot of Sat going to garage sales. Realized if I didn't have a grandson, we would have only spent about $5! Instead we spent $20! We kept finding things for him!!! (2 potty seats, back pack carrier, toys, clothes)

Yesterday was church, then a bridal shower at 3:00. I didn't eat too bad, but the desserts got me...per usual! I've decided to talk to my doctor about Alli when I go tomorrow. I am at that point that I can't seem to do it on my own. I hope he'll say I can take it.

I guess that means everyone had a great Sunday away from the computer and that can only be good!

It's gonna be 94 here again today! Pool bound!

I spent my Sunday cleaning the house. Got a look at my baseboards last week (dusty!!) and decided to start house cleaning room by room this summer. Well that translated into doing the whole first floor (- the powder room and laundry) yesterday. Have overnight company coming the end of the week, so I guess the guest bath is next...

Hopefully all of the furniture moving and cleaning burned some of the calories that I ate over the weekend. All I can say is

Last I heard it is supposed to be 97 here today and tomorrow (HOT, but much better than they have been getting out west -- I can deal!!) Thank gracious for A/C...

i was actually unfortunately here, just typing most of the day....way to spend a sunday, huh? i really want to get this child molestation trial done and behind me though. only 1-and-a-half more days to go (which equals about a week of typing).

1st -- I can't even imagine having to listen to that testimony, much less listen so well that you are writing every word. God Bless you for doing what you are doing. You are helping to get justice for a innocent victim.

2nd -- Does that mean that you get to work from home? I would so envy that part of the job!

Im starting a diet Today and Im vowing to loose those 35 extra pounds that have slowly creept up and taken over! They are like horrible lil gremlins destroying my life! I need to get in shape and get healthy!

I have my tickets for the Wednesday matinee of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix! Is anyone else going on Wednesday?

My best friend is going on Wed but I am waiting until Sat when my friend from Buffalo is in town. I think it's odd that the shortest HP movie is the longest book!! I'm actually more excited for the book!! I won't buy it...if I just wait one day my friend will have read hers and I can borrow it. They're too big...I just buy the paperbacks!!

Going into work for 2 hours today and 8 tomorrow. My boss has to teach a class and asked me to come in. A little extra money would help! I am also going to visit my sister this AM and bring my nephew his WDW soveniers!

with some of the stuff i listen to, i have to go into "robot mode" and just do it and not think about it, otherwise i'd start crying. but honestly that doesn't happen too often. most of the time i'm dealing with either stupid criminals or greedy ex-spouses! oh, and by the way, i don't write every word. i know this probably sounds weird, but i repeat every word into a little voice silencer mask and it records it to my hard drive on my computer. then i come home and type it. and yes, i do my typing from home. it's nice because i can do my work in my pajamas if i want to. although everyone tends to think when (if) we have a kid, i'll be able to work from home *with* said kid and that's probably not going to work. i had a friend who tried to do that and she honestly couldn't get anything done. on average it takes 3 times as long to type the work than it took for the work to happen (i.e., a 1-hour deposition usually takes 3 hours to type), so the kids-at-home thing tends to not work very well because you can't get much done. on the other hand i have a very flexible schedule so if we ever do have a child they won't be in daycare every single day!

I don't have kids (yet, if ever -- I'm a big believer in borrowing children from other people because you can return them). However, my friend works from home and has two little boys . Worked okay when she just had the one and was only working two or three hours a day (could fit in work at nap times). However, she then started working many more hours and had two boys, it just didn't work. SO she works from home and the boys love go to daycare (with one of my aunts actually).

SO....I was pretty good with the diet this weekend..considering my awesome boyfriend planned a big suprise birthday dinner with 29 of my friends ( our parents too) at my favorite italian place on Federal Hill ( if any of you know RI at all, Fed. Hill has THE BEST italian food). IT was awesome and of course, totally yummy. My actual b day is Thursday ( the big ole 30 ) so it was a nice suprise ...

anyhooty...hope everyone had a great weekend..it was a muggy here, still is..my curly hair is NOT digging this weather!

It was already 85 at 9AM when I started out to work... 94 today, 97 the next two. Whee!

as far as the dentist goes, i had a horrible experience at the dentist when i was 9 and it's stuck with me ever since. i hate it! i wish they could knock you out for any little thing they did.....even a teeth cleaning!

I have often said I wish I could be put to sleep even for cleanings! I think my fear also stems from a few bad experiences when I was younger.

Kail is the HOH. She is in an alliance with three of the guys (Zack, Nick and Mike). She put up Carol and Amber based on their performance in the HOH competition. Amber has an alliance with Dustin and she seems to be friends with more people. They also showed the food competition and half the house got put on the Big Brother Slop.

That being said I get the Showtime Live feed. It is on for three hours every night. I feel like I am watching EDTV (does anyone remember that Matthew McConaghy movie?) It is crazy how much goes on that you don't see. If anyone wants updates based on what I have seen just let me know.

Heather....Thanks for the update on Ryan! Prayers for continued improvement and healing and the same for Bruce. I don't think I knew you worked at church. Are you a minister or support staff?

At church I am the Wednesday Childrens Director and also in charge of curriculum for preschool as well as the camp coordinator. I guess you could say I do a little of this and a little of that. I volunteer in a lot of other areas as well. From August to May I teach 8th grade Special Education.

Go back to the Dr. in the morning for the dreaded blood sugar test--It always makes me ill for several hours afterwards. So far all is going well--I am getting big and she is always moving. It is VERY HOT here so I am trying to stay inside as much as possible. I will update after the Dr. tomorrow.
