DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 4

Shannon, you're description of the non-date was way cute! I have absolutely no words of wisdom since I married at the ripe ol age of 18! The one thing I've learned however is that most men are slightly dense when it comes to our suggestions and insinuations which we think are perfectly obvious. It's taken me nearly 15 years to figure that out.


I don't have too much planned for the 4th today. I have to get Hunter packed for his month trip to North Carolina with his grandma. I'm really going to miss him! We're also going over to our new neighbors for a bbq. They are really nice but the funniest thing is I swear the Dad is Larry the Cable guys brother!! So I should have some good conversation for tomorrow!

My peeps on my PMS thread have abandoned me and we were supposed to celebrate our Mini-Goal today. Actually they have been gradually abandoning me over the last few weeks, so I may need to find some new weight loss supporting peeps.

Do you have room for more peeps here? I can provide references (just let me know if you prefer good ones or bad ones ). I can also provide embarassing pictures of Utahmama in a huge gray wig. . .

Hi!!! You are definitely welcome here! I am part of both threads but this one is super encouraging. I will stand up as your reference if you need one.

I think I made my 5 lb mini-goal but I haven't been able to weigh all week. We are headed home tonight so I can do my pre-weigh-in tomorrow and see how things are. The last few days I have done MUCH better on the diet and stayed closer to my 1200. Thank goodness for Subway and Ruby Tuesday's.

The results came back on my FIL. Unfortunately, this appears to be a side effect of some metabolic issues related to his BP medicine, severe malnutrition, and, well, some other issues. They have gotten him stabilized and will be moving him to a rehab facility hopefully this weekend.

We are here in the hospital today but should be heading back home this afternoon, as his brother is here to tag team in.

Shannon, glad that your "date" went fairly well... I know what you mean about chasing, I was never good at it. Hope things work out, or that another prince charming is put in your path. I dated a lot before meeting DH at age 27, and it can be completely nerve-wracking!

Raining here too, which put my gardening on hold! I really wanted to get that done, now that I have a day off! Oh well, if Saturday's nice I'll do it then.



Melinda...You made me laugh with this one! I remember getting up at 6am to take the test before work! Pee on the stick....sit it on the counter for 45 min...check results! I went back to bed, but didn't sleep while we were waiting for the results. DH was a wreck! It was quite funny! I got pregnant just as quickly! DH & I use to laugh when people would say they planned their kids. Didn't know you could do that!!! We just let it be in God's timing.

Plans today are laundry, clean out the pantry & refrigerator and read. That's it! Thrilling isn't it! Have a good day!

OMG! How times have changed! Thank god I didnt have to do the test tube method. I have a hard enough time trying to do it in the cup at the Dr's office

Nothing exciting here today. Apparently it has been raining pretty much every day here since I left for my sisters wedding, and it has rained ever since we got back. On and off, just enough to keep the grass wet and make me keep Amada inside. LONG day here. DH is working too I am hoping he gets off in time to maybe go see some fireworks later, if they dont get rained out!

Hope everyone is having a fun and safe 4th!

I laid pretty low today. Went to our city's annual parade which I've been going to since I was a very little girl. Fun and cheesy as usual.

Now I'm about to head out in the back to watch the city's fireworks display. And our neighbor who is totally using illegal fireworks and I'm just waiting for him to blow off a limb. And poor Phoebe is just so distraught over all the fireworks. Poor thing. She is right on top of us wherever we go.

I didn't hear back from the crush but I'm (eta: NOT) taking it too personally. He is always working so he was probably just enjoying being home.

Back to the grind tomorrow...

I have been in that situation many times, its so exciting, nerve wracking when you first realize you have feelings for someone..but enjoy it...and keep us posted! The last 2 1/2 years i've been a one man girl..so its fun to hear exploits of the single gals...

Fidgey! I'm so sorry for your loss! DH and I have a friend who lives down near WDW, and she has a few kitties, and one of them is named Toulouse. Ours is Oliver, for Oliver of course. And I certainly understand how you must have felt about yours. I'll be thinking of you and your family!

Fidge..I am so sorry to hear about your cat. It's so hard when you lose a pet. My prayers are with you and your family.

I have had a very productive day today, even though it rained all day. Did most of the laundry, planted some plants and garden some after the rain stopped at 8:45pm and even had some friends over for an impromptu dinner party!!! I feel like I accomplished alot and am now ready to head to my room to read and relax. I think I need to get away from all the other "adult children" in this house as they have offered no help whatsoever today! I am "a little" frustrated with them! DH is finishing up the dishes as I type. He is just wonderful! (OK, vent over! )

i need to go play catchup at some point tonight. been busy entertaining the past 24 hours! here's some pictures from the festivities last night......

ray got a Wii a few days back (his reward for letting me go to WDW in september! ) and everyone had fun with that last night.

here's erin (the girl that will be coming to the peep meet in september with me and who may be joining the peeps soon) playing......

this was the crowd of people gathered on the sidewalk in front of our house to view the show.....we kept joking that we had box seats because we were up higher!

our neighbor then showed up with what he called "georgia water" and convinced me and erin to try some. it was really moonshine.......so disgusting!

here are some of us enjoying the fireworks. luke (wonderwoman's little boy) was wearing the earphones i use for typing to drown out the noise....so cute!

and here are some fireworks pics.....it's not wishes, but it was still nice not to have to leave the house to see a decent show!

about midway through the "show" the neighborhood across the lake from ours started joining in....it was like a competition! i only got one good shot of theirs though....

apparently the boys wanted to end the night with a jedi training session on my front porch! did you guys know that jedi masters are now required to have beer in hand???

we didn't do anything today except recover from last night, meaning cleaning house and just resting. we had some fireworks here and there tonight, but nothing like last night. so what did everyone else do? i hope you guys had a good holiday!

Not silly at all to ask for prayers for our animal friends. Your Toulouse definitely has mine tonight...and I'm sending some your way as well. Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy.

On a lighter note, when I read your cat's name, I immediately thought of the Friends episode where Monica is trying to figure out Phoebe's grandmother's chocolate chip cookie recipe just from tasting one leftover cookie. Then Phoebe says it was from someone in France named Neslay Toulouse (Nestle Tollhouse) Cracked me up. Anyway, hope I made you smile a little

I definitely took a moment to think about what 4th of july is all about. Our city parade is cheesy for sure, but it still gets me misty eyed seeing the former or current troops marching in it along with our great fire and police men.

And thanks for reading my guy saga. It is a great point in a "relationship"...looking forward to seeing them, wondering how he feels about you. If he'll call (he didn't FYI ). I'm hoping the rest of you don't mind me going on and on about it. I only have so many people I can talk to about it because telling too many girls at school would be a B A D bad idea. Even he agreed last night that the gossip in that building is insane.

I'm going in early tomorrow because I have to laminate (the laminator is in his office)...I'm at the point now where I would laminate my arm just to have an excuse to go into his office lol. But seriously, having today off put me behind in getting that stuff ready so I really do have to go in there. But I do know that on Thursdays he is in and out a lot so I'm purposefully going in earlier so I can hopefully chat with him a little. The bad thing about him is that he is not a work talker. If he is at work, then he won't talk about the other night or anything. Pretty annoying. How am I supposed to get him to see how wonderfully perfect I am for him

We just got back from a neighbors house. They had some contraband fireworks that were pretty neat. There are signs all over about the $2,000 fine for fireworks, yet we saw and heard plenty when we were outside. Didnt stop too many people I guess! Amanda did her first sparkler...one was enough. She wasnt too thrilled with the whole experience really. Too close for comfort I think!
