OKW How's it going?

Everybody - :dance3: roll those hips and tummies!! :dance3:

Going pretty well. I didn't get to work out last night though. Long story short, I work about 1.25 hours from home and I have a pretty small window after work to make it to the gym to get in a full workout. I was changing into my workout clothes and realized I had packed two different tennis shoes - both of them left feet. :sad2: I am going tonight and I double checked to make sure I have a right and a left sneaker in the bag today.

Thanks for asking.

Sandy - it was told to me that if you boil or par boil before grilling to use the reserve water and drink it. It helps with water rentention. Thats all I got for you sorry!

WOW - Fidge, have you forgotten the warm water + lemon trick? Take about 8oz of warm water (more hot than cool - dont know why it works best with warm water... test it for yourself, warm/hot water works!) and about the juice of 1 lemon (fresh is best, but I use bottled) and drink it down - tada, no more water retention!!

Okw - an 1 1/2 drive is a long way! I hope you enjoy the work! Do try and get some suck ins on the drive and butt crunches! (you know squeeze the buttocks, and suck in your gut and hold it!!)

today -
1 slim fast bar 200 calories
1L water 0 calories
17oz of orange go water 0 calories
1 large apple ??
1 bag Baked ruffles - 140 calories
2 squares Belgian Chocolate 120 calories

I dont know why or when or how I can give up the craving for chips - but the Baked lays do help -

i crave chips, too, and i've been eating those quaker oatmeal brand quakes. they're little rice cake things and they make salty and sweet flavors. my favorite is ranch. they're around 70 calories for about 10 of them. it's a good chip-like snack!

Sounds like to me you are doing great! :) And I believe a large apple would be around 100 calories, depending on how large.

Those are GOOD! I also love the cheddar and caramel flavors! YUM!

Hi Peeps! I have been busy with school stuff. My grade level team met today and we will meet again tomorrow to go over our new reading books and align our vocabulary words with the stories. (I know it sounds like fun dosen't it?). Yesterday, I had a really down day. I don't know if it is hormones or what but I felt like crying for no reason all day long. I have no idea why. Today I feel just fine.:confused3 Has anyone ever done spray tanning? I am looking into going this week to get it done. I don't tan naturally so I need so help in that area. I don't want to come out looking like a pumpkin though! I hope everyone is having a good day!

I get chip and dip cravings a LOT!

A bag of 94% ff popcorn is about 200 cals, so that makes a good substitute. popcorn::

Another fav is to make fat free onion dip... I use 8 tbsp of ff sour cream (80), 1/2 tbsp of helman's light mayo(20), and onion soup mix to taste. The dip is about 120 cals or so, and I cut up celery, cauliflower, cucumber to dip in it and count out 15 fat free pringles as my "treat". The whole thing is about 200 calories. The pringles give me the chip feeling while the veggies fill me up.

I have tried those rice cake thingies but I have to admit I am not a fan. :guilty:

My food (and plans) for today:
B: 1 cup dry apple jacks (120) and coffee (10)
L: Smart Ones Roast Beef (180) and salad (100) and yogurt (70)
D: 2 pieces of spinach stuffed tilapia (220), an artichoke (60), and a tbsp of smart beat light to dip it in (45).
S: One bag FF popcorn (200)
Total calories, about 1000. Exercise, 25 min on elliptical trainer and some strength training and abs. 64 oz water so far, and a vitamin.

I am trying to deliberately stay a little low this week to make up for my weekend binge...

Goog Afternoon Krusty Crew!!!!! i just had too..
UMa Dd woke me up at 3am, I tossed and turned for an hour thinking of the sub sandwich you had last night!! I finally gave up and got online...

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

Don't worry about me, Sandy! I do stay up later in the summer so I also sleep later. My body actually requires a LOT of sleep compared to other people I know.

oh but it was and a pencil first.
Guess what I'm wearing?
Wanna know?
Huh?
First, know that before the surgery I was coming out of my size 28 pants. I had to leave them unzipped just to be comfortable.
Today I'm wearing a size 18 dress!!!!!!
WOOO!
It's a little snug through the hips, but I have one of those body shaper things on to help.
It even fits my arms, which is usually an issue. I'm so excited!

I'm home! Did you miss me??? As soon as I find my cord I'll post the picture from my peep meet with Misty & Wendy! It was so much fun! When I told my family I was meeting friends from the internet, they got concerned looks on their faces , so instead of meeting in the dark alley behind the 7-11 like Wendy suggested I had them meet me at Olive Gardens. We were all good and had broccoli to eat!:lmao:

Hope everyone is having a skinny pants morning! ;)
Sounds like you had quite the work out! Way to go!

Big Big Big Woooooo hooty!!!!! I can't imagine how incredible that must be!
They will practice every night. If by the way off chance they did win state, we would go to Regionals in Lousiana in another 2 weeks. That would not be cool. That is the same weekend of my step sisters wedding in which DS is the ring bearer. So let's pray for second place!
Ok, from one Mississippi girl to another. "Bless your heart!!!!" :goodvibes

WOW - Fidge, have you forgotten the warm water + lemon trick? I dont know why or when or how I can give up the craving for chips - but the Baked lays do help -
Lemon water has to be better than asparagus water!! :scared:
Have you tried sunchips - several good flavors! I like them better than baked and they're about the same nutrionally as the baked - maybe even a little better - but very similar. It's been a long time since I checked, but I know they were comparable.

Forogt aobut the lemon and water add lemons to grocery list and stratch ou the asparagus water. Lemons good taste better too!

Water! Water! Water! It's probably not going to make you not want the ice cream, but I bet it will change how you feel! Does anybody ever watch Marilu Henner's show on Fit TV? I saw one episode where she talked about "wet and dry" foods and I can't remember the details but eating more "wet foods" which included all those things that we know are good for us but don't like! :rolleyes1 but one thing she said that I remember I've noticed. She talked about the highs and lows you get because we tend to eat so much sugar. I've always been so guilty of having say cake - and having coke with it. And one of the little changes I've made is to always drink water with those sweet things where I would normally have coke and I think I don't feel those highs as much! I think what she was saying was we get the sugar high and want to keep it so as soon as we hit the low we're looking for more sugar! And that keeps you on vicious cycle.

Hope everyone has a good night!

For a while, I posted pretty regularly. I didn't stop posting because of anything bad... it was actually a good thing! With the encouragement of Jay (aka Hunky Trainer Dude) and the confidence I got from my Peeps, I started leaving my house and "doing things". When I stopped posting, I promised to keep the Peeps updated on any significant events in my life.

Well...... check out my new bling. :yay:

On January 1st, I weighed 330 lbs and wore 4X/5X and 28/30/32 size stretchy clothes. Today, I weigh 229.8 lbs and wear size 18 jeans/shorts and my 1X workout clothes are getting too big. Not sure of the exact inches I've lost (cause I didn't have up-to-date starting ones), but I know I've lost at least 3 inches in my chest, over 5 from my waist, about 7 from my abdomen, 5 more from my hips, and 3 from each thigh.

I've gained enourmous amounts of energy and self confidence. My mood and outlook has skyrocketed... for 20 years, I was always on the depressive end of the spectrum; now, I'm way over in the manic category. My Disney "how do I feel today" magnet on my fridge is almost always set to "ecstatic". And I've made lots of new friends... some really special, like Jay (just friends ;) ).

My friend Christy and I have been to the River Walk in San Antonio (which ya'll knew about) and 6th Street in Austin (which ya'll didn't know about). There happened to be a gigantic motorcycle rally while we were there (Christy came back and bought herself a Harley). I must say, it does wonders for the ego to have a cute and funny young man (23) flirting with me and insisting I didn't look like I was 42 years old one evening. Also didn't hurt the ego to have 30/40 year old men flirting with me the next evening. We're currently planning to head to New Orleans French Quarter in a couple of weeks.

Of course, life's bed of roses has had a few thorns. My 37 yo brother had to have 3 brain surgeries in 3 weeks. The first removed an egg sized cyst. Pressure built up so they then had to put in a permanent drain. The drain clogged, so they had to go in and fix it. He's now home and getting better and stronger all the time. His fellow firefighters have been wonderful... when he runs out of time off, they are going to donate their time to him. And since he had two seizures during and after the first surgery, he can't drive for 6 months, so they are going to pick him up when he can return to work.

My newfound confidence and assertiveness (I now tell people when they upset, anger, or hurt me instead of stuffing it down with food) have had an unexpected consequence. I've also reconnected with old friends. I was tracked down by the people planning my 25th high school reunion (I've never been to any of my reunions). The girl mentioned several classmates, including one in particular that was my "boyfriend" off and on through high school and college. He was living in New Zealand and wouldn't be attending, but was in classmates.com. Well, 23 years ago something very, very, very bad happened and we parted on terrible terms. I looked him up on classmates, read that he was doing well now, and sent him a message. I told him I was happy he was doing well and that I couldn't have said that long ago because he was the only person in the world that I ever really, truly hated and that he knew why. I said I've been working on things in my life and that I have decided to just let things go from the past. I also apologized for anything I had ever done that had hurt him. I never expected a response... but about a week later, I got one. He's thought of me off and on over the years, and that he knew he had hurt me but never realized just how much, and we've both been punishing ourselves for something that happened when we were young and stupid. And, he's moving back to the states and will come to the reunion so we can talk. A friend at school warned me about "hooking up with old boyfriends"... but that isn't what this is about. Hate eats you up... this is about closure and forgiveness of both each other and ourselves.

And sometime next week, I'm going to meet up with my best friend from high school so we can reconnect (she just lives 60 miles away).

So, I've got 4 months to hit one-derland (just 29.8 lbs). If I don't make it, that's okay, but that's the goal I've got (I need goals). I also don't just want to look good compared to 6 months ago... I want to get a "darn! you look hot!" from someone I haven't seen in 23 years.

But for now, Jay is throwing me a "100" party... I'll be sure to get pix so you can see my progress (and Hunky Trainer Dude :rolleyes1 ).

Love ya... and you'll never know how much you all helped me and you mean to me. :grouphug:

Anyone here a watcher (or former watcher) of you know what and the city with sarah jessica parker and company? I don't want to type it because I think it will get censored out. Anyway, anyone remember the episode towards the beginning of the series with the secret you know what? Because the people were embarassed about their partner and didn't want their friends or family to know that is who they are with?

I have a secret crush. Without the you know what. There is this guy that works in our clinic (who is also in the program and in one class with me). I've been finding myself looking for reasons to go to his "office". Not really an office. It's where we laminate our materials and use assistive communication devices for clients. But I really don't need to go in there as much as I do. But he is sooooo not like anyone else I've liked or dated - looks, what I have seen of his personality, religion. I don't even know that much about him. But I want to. I think. And I'm so not telling any of the girls I hang out with at school. That would be b a d bad. And he seems to be on the serious side so a girlfriend is probably not high on his list anyway.

Anyway, I've been feeling the need to talk about it. I feel better now. Although I still have the crush. I feel like I'm 13 again. I should be sending him notes in class: Do you like me? Circle yes or no. Why am I such a dating loser? :rolleyes1

Sorry for such an immature-ish post. I really do feel like such a baby when I talk about these things. Dating (or wanting to date someone) is hard.

DENE!!!!!!! so good to hear from you.....we've all missed you! it looks like you're doing great and have a really healthy outlook on things. CONGRATS on the 100 pounds......that is such a huge accomplishment!!!!!!! i'm so excited for you! :yay: have a blast at your party.....you deserve it! sorry to hear about your brother's health problems....he'll be in my prayers.

harley - do you happen to know of any single, nice, loyal, honest, not-weird, and somewhat attractive harley-riding ladies in their 40's-50's maybe in tennessee or georgia? my dad needs a date! :rotfl:
