I'm amazed at how much I graze! Do any of you have that issue? I'm never really hungry when I'm mindlessly opening the pantry. It's as if the food-fairy came with a fresh selection of goodies that I may have missed the last 10 times I opened the pantry or fridge? :confused3 I need a dog shock collar to zap me every time I touch the knob to the pantry!

"la la la, I think I'll check to see what I can stuff my face with now.....ZZZZZZZAAAAAAAPPPPPPP  ...oh! Never mind!"

Oh my gosh. If you ever find or develop one of those shock collars, please, please, please send one my way. I have that exact habit. Last night we got started late on the grilling so I was snacking on peanuts, pretzels, tootsie rolls, you name it from the pantry. Then I sat down to dinner and ate a steak that in all honesty should have fed me for two meals, but I ate all of it and a plate full of sugar snap beans. I'm hoping I'll do better tonight.

AWEEEEEEEEEEE thank you all for the well wishes! Actaully I must tell the truth I turned 43 and weigh 118 lbs, ok the age is right lol!!

It was a great day, I went to Homey Depot and got the DH to work with me on a project that has taken 10 years. The man was pacing himslef you know! It was great for me.

This new year I commited to "healthy eatting" ok I did have a sliver of icre cream cake yesterday. Had to you know.

I have had great inspriration to drink water. Hard work! It felt great I must admit everythin hurt. Reminded me how great it is to be alive and also had I been in better shape I would not have been hurting. God Bless advil!! Oh and a couple of ice packs well hidden!

I amde my dinner since I wnated it to be a good one, nice salad, grilled chicken spinach all good.

I truly felt really good about me. Postive action led to positve thinking!

Um gotta love your creative license with my name I was rolling and felt like a cougar on that yard work!!

Ok off to vacum the pool and water the flowers and go for walk with DS my other promise to me and DS!

Oh hey, Happy Monday....and theres polenty of cake leftover!

TIP OF THE WEEK:

When you take your children to the park - as you push them on the swing - do lunges...

around the perimeter of the park there usually is a "curb" to hold that stuff in it.. calf workout... put your tippy toes on the edge then raise up, and go all the way down so your heels go down below your toeseys!!

What? Too hot to go to the park - well do the exercises IN YOUR OWN HOME!! somewhere you should have a step - go to it...

and in addition to those lunges - how about the sit squats> In front of a chair, raise your hand parallel to the ground and start to squat to sit, then stand up - Can you do 50???

And while you read on the dis - you know you are REQUIRED to...

SUCK IT UP AND SUCK IT IN!!

It's Monday - the start of a new week - "Diet and exercise is NOT a punishment for getting FAT - but a reward for getting healthy!"

Let's get healthy Peeps!!:wizard:

MMMmmm steak!

My last steak was on Father's Day. It was gooood cow!

You'll do better tonight! Eat your veggies or salad first? That's what I try to do. So I'll be fuller for the entree.

I need to put a big sign on my fridge and pantry that says OINK OINK or something to stop me dead... so I'll reach for a water instead of food. I just need a second to THINK or be aware of what I'm doing. I'm such a creature of habit. A dog-shock collar might just work! :scared1:

If only the DIS was treadmill activated?

How'd you know me and Misty go to the park every day...in the hot heat? We pretty much sit on our bums and drink diet Pepsi (not lunging or exerting ourselves, but what a good idea!!) Between the 2 of us, we have 11 kids to watch!

I love your daily exercise breaks!

post a closeup of you in a bathing suit.
That might slow you down.
Or! what would work even better is a pic of ME in my bathing suit! That'll keep you from eating for a month! :lmao:

I need a dog shock collar to zap me every time I touch the knob to the pantry!

:lmao: you've got a great idea there....you should look into developing it! it would sell!!!!!

i slept til 10:30 this morning......:scared1: i really was tired! i always feel so behind when i sleep late, like i wasted 3 hours of my day snoozing. i think i needed it though because we're busy this week - depositions in atlanta all week long. not fun!!!!

nope, dont think that would work, and the dog shock collar would just make me think of a way around it... or I'd get used to the shock... I'm seriously hopeless.

I had me some good cow for dh's birthday (and I only ate one piece of cake - its in the fridge... it has whipped cream frosting... its chocolate... I want to cry because I think about eating more cake all the time!!) We had ok cow for Father's Day - (rib eye, filet for dh's was huge and yummy)

I started grilling the aspargus - yum (and I HATE veggies) Last night was hamburger, so tonight chicken!

Well I must stuff myself in my suit and get dd to the pool - hopefully some of her friends will be there today (Monday is field trip day for the daycare kids)

Just looking at my pregnant belly should keep me away from food - but I just give up, give in and stuff myself! So far today, so good...

1 toast w/ 1Tb Peanut butter
12 oz of hot cinnamon tea

Now its lunch.. . I was going to eat an apple and a salad, but I found a really rotten cucumber and ick... I decided to Dis instead!!

Before I forget...HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY FIDGE!!!!

No time to check in this weekend, so here I am from work...again! Life just gets too busy! I am in the process of getting my DD's shower together for Sunday and have to go do some shopping, put the favors together, buy the gift from my Mom, find champagne glasses, look for a canopy....and whatever else has to be done!!! :scared1: I hope I get it all done!

I have one more day at the deli, then I am down to one job instead of 2. I'll cut my hours from 50 a week to 32. I need the break and the time off. I am too old to be working 6 days a week anymore.

Punkie-glad you're back!

I'm hoping to kick it in gear this week with my weight loss efforts. I think I'm making awesome choices and am writing every single bite down. That helps!

This sounds like me!!! I am a total grazer and even camped with a group that the cow was our mascot because all we did was graze all day from site to site!!! What were we thinking???:confused3 When you get the collar, can you send one my way??? I'd appreciate it. ;)

Off to actually do some work here. Hope you are all having a great day!
:goodvibes

as always, here i am with some pictures....again! these are from our trip this weekend. anna's only sent me half of them, so i'll have more later. :)

here's my brother, my sister, me and my dad. yeah....as i said before, i got the short end of the height stick! please excuse my brother's appearance. he's a free spirited hippy and sometimes looks a little rough. he recently dreadlocked his hair and it's hideous! he could be so handsome if he tried. but i still love him.

here's my sister and her boyfriend jon. this is the guy that i've mentioned before who took her to disney and just seems too good to be true. he's very nice and funny and i approved! and no, my sister isn't "special." she's just a goofball......she's wearing my dad's motorcycle goggles!

I am the same way. I am definitely a grazer. I have been able to get it under control to a point, but I still have a tendency to try to do it in the evenings at home. It is SO mindless! I usually reach for healthier options (This is why my house is filled with good choices, or I'd be in a world of trouble!) and still have my calorie limit (once I hit it, I'm done), but I haven't stopped this habit all together. I catch myself doing it from time to time, and I just want to scream! Shock collar, huh? :rolleyes1 Hmmm...

My favorite sign idea on here was from a long time ago. Someone had posted that you should put a sign on the fridge, cabinets, pantry, etc. that said "The answers are not in here!" I LOVE that! It's so perfect! I try to remember that when I catch myself attempting to graze. Do I really need this, or am I using the food to deal with something? Because the answers to my issue(s) are not in the food!

nope, dont think that would work, and the dog shock collar would just make me think of a way around it... or I'd get used to the shock... I'm seriously hopeless.

I don't think you can say you are hopeless when you are grilling asparagus, and look at how well you've done so far today! You CAN do this Sandy! Even if it is baby steps or whatever. One step at a time, just one step at a time! Your Peeps are here for you! :goodvibes

Hey all what's going on? i got my bagallini for disneyland in oct but you know me i had to spongify it , now all i need is my Lime Green mary janes and pink ones too..

Hope everyone is having a great monday...
I officially started Nannying today- It is such a long day but I love the kids like they were my little brother and sister! ;)
And it doesnt help that I get paid $70-100 each day! :rotfl:
In any case, I am a little nervous about my first soccer game tonight- I played soccer for like 12 years but havent played for close to 6 and I was advised to join the competitive division as opposed to the non-competivie which is mostly for people with little or no experience...
Meanwhile I have lost 6 years of soccer time and gained 50 lbs since high school! I will report how things went later tonight or tomororw morning... but at around 7pm tonight please have a moment of silence for me! lol!
I don't know anyone on my team- my one coworker who is on my team isnt coming tonight so I will be in total Newbdom- no friends and no skill! Ahhhh! :scared:

Punkin- you look great in your pictures! I have been reading your TR but you def look like you have dropped a few more pounds since then! congrats! :thumbsup2
I love pictures also and its so fun to hear other people tell stories and then see the people you were talking about!

Hope everyone has a great afternoon!!:flower3:

Punkie-glad you're back!

I'm exhausted too. We just got back from seeing Evan Almighty at the drive-in (Misty did this with her family and so I copied because it sounded like a good idea!) It really was fun!

There were some obnoxious teenagers ( like 3 or 4 carloads full) a few rows up who's parents would have been horrified at their behavior! I hope MY DS18 wasn't/isn't like that when he's away from his family! :scared1:

ya know i do that too , But you know what i do that helps is you know your old locked cupboard ( i assume for medicines and such that is the snack cupboard(junk food and fruit snacks the healthy stuff is in the pantry.. i lock it and put the keys up (usually i forget where i put them alot of the time ) :rotfl: so i don't eat as much junk i just get frantic looking for the keys Esp. when it is time to take the ESTROGEN ... i also have a alarm on my fridge so that the kids don't constantly get in it.. that will scare you into not eating it is annoying ...

Misty - I like that!!

Lynda - thanks  You are too kind!

I'm a grazer, I fully acknowledge that - I'm just trying to make sure I have grazing snacks available...

Lunch:
1 large apple (took me an hour to eat it! LOL, just a quarter is all I really wanted... kept coming back to that apple a slice at a time!!)
thought I should have some veggies
3 large "mini" carrots...

Now for some water...

I'm going to have some cereal for snack! (i'll measure it out tho!)

Hey all what's going on? i got my bagallini for disneyland in oct but you know me i had to spongify it , now all i need is my Lime Green mary janes and pink ones too..

I'm LOVING that! I actually have seen it IRL and it turned out soooo sute!

Mines packed for Sept. after I tried it out for a few weeks. It will be so handy to have everything in it's place in a pocket or compartment. There's even an elastic loop for my lipgloss princess:

I just ordered some NothingZ (like CROCS but I think are even MORE comfy- more squishy) from our Reams store. Ordered pink and lime. My feet will be in heaven! I do so love the Mary Jane style. They're "you".

Lynda- that's a good idea for a sign on my Pantry, fridge, etc! I just need to stop and think when I'm being a mindless zombie grazer.

PUNKIN! Too cute! Has Ray seen it? :scared:

RED ALERT!

16,000 coming up!

Who's it gonna be???

Okay my Friday bad eating day extended through Saturday. But I did jump back on the wagon yesterday and have kept on even though DH keeps trying to drag me back off.

Weekend was unexciting but relaxing. We came super close again on Sat to driving to WDW but talked ourselved out of it.

Today I weaselled out of work and went to WetNWild Greensboro. My behind is now sore... I wore my new Tink tankini from disneyshopping! I ordered it in a 10 and it fits great. Oddly enough, I also got the Mickeyhana tankini in a 10 and it is too small? Weird. I am about a 14 now in regular, non-crazyDisney sizing.

Hope everyone had a skinny day!
