batman had a really bad five o'clock shadow and wonderwoman was very well-endowed! brooke said that robin was tickling the flash the entire time we were posing for the picture, so i'm thinking that maybe that whole character-dating theory at disney applies to all theme parks! :lmao:

We came super, super close to saying s* it and driving to Orlando tomorrow for the weekend. We have APs, so would only have to pay for hotel and food... and I am off on Monday... but, cooler heads prevailed, and instead, we are going to clean the house and go to the water park on Monday. Saturday night is a planned cheat night and I am REALLY looking forward to it. Still not sure yet what we are going to eat, likely pizza.

punkin, don't feel weird. We promise not to phone your friends and relatives and spill all to them. No but seriously, I think of this as a safe place.

I got pulled over this morning on the way to work, 70 in a 55. Somehow someone was looking out for me, though, because the cop was having computer problems and didn't give me a ticket. Either that or he made them up after I sniveled like a stupid girl (which, I suppose, I am!).

I have eaten well today but I skipped my cardio at the gym. :scared: I am going to mow the lawn when I get home from work, and also maybe will pull out the little manual stepper and put some time in on it. Plus I hit the gym on Mon and Tues and played ice hockey last night.. yeah, I am rationalizing, smack me!

Melinda, I have had the same problem with my DD 12. Very frustrating. I told her that if I had to bring something else to school for her that I was coming to her class in my pajamas, rollers, slippers, and I would be totally obnoxious. She knows me, so she knows I would do it. I have no shame.

You did the right thing. I have let Madison suffer the consequences and that helps her remember the next time.

Heather - I ran into Rhonda at Wal-Mart. Are you ready for camp? I hope you guys have great time! No Wet Willy for you this year!
I am trying to get ready. Heading out to wal-mart after supper. The kids know what they are taking we just have to pack. Me on the other hand need several shorts -- and a couple of sleeveless shirts since it it sooooo hot there. Have to pick up first aid items and girly items--you just never know at this age. Pick up the shirts tomorrow afternoon and then I will be ready. Have to be at the chuch at 3:30a.m. Sunday--since I am in charge :scared1: WE should have a great time.

When Katie was a baby about 1 mth old I had to go to church for an important meeting. I thought I would only be there for 30 min (so I did not bring a bottle) but it lasted longer. She was crying by the end so I loaded her and Andrew into the car to head home. She would not let up so I was really rushing to get there. I was going 55 in a 30 (almost like everyone else) and I saw the blue lights behind me--I told Andrew who had just turned 3 to start crying. By the time the officer got to the car Andrew was bawling and Katie was wailing -- he looked at me and asked where I was going and I said home--he said please drive carefull and let me go.

WOW Kat what an adventure!! I still have flashbacks of when I was pulled over - I was with my son (8th or 9th grade at the time) I was driving dh's lil car, and all these cars in front of me kept throwing breaks on, and I'd swerve around them, speeding of course... maybe like 5 miles.... I turned off the main way onto a frontage type roadway... came to a complete stop - turned right and ooooOOOOooooOOOO lights of the cop... "do you know why I pulled you over ma'am?" um no, "I KNOW I came to a COMPLETE stop at the stop sign"... :rotfl2: (serious cop chuckle) "that's the ONLY thing you did right" ooops... and I was nice and apologetic, and he gave me a "warning" ticket "I see 5 years ago you got a warning for not coming to a complete stop, since you learn from a warning, here's another one">>> :rotfl2: THEY KEPT the records for FIVE years!! :faint:

and I did tell the nice officer "so THAT;s why everyone was braking in front of me"

It does get the blood pumping doesnt it???

OK I know it's dorky to quote yourself, but I'm a FLIPPIN' GENIUS! Two guys from ATT U-Verse couldn't fix my 'puter, and I figured it out myself this morning. I just hooked our old router into the new router from ATT, and Voila! I got access. for me. Sorry if this seems like bragging, but I'm really proud of myself. I'm no computer genius, so I'm amazed that I was able to figure this out.

No, not dorky at all....

WOOHOOTY DANIELLE  :surfweb: Genius!!

oh, forgot to add...

:dance3: I got a bonus :dance3: I got a bonus!! :cool1:

Now I have money for our trip!! I'm converting it to Disney Dollars, come what may, I'll have $$ for FUN STUFF!!

Here's hoping DH gets a bonus to pay for the trip!! :rotfl2:

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all having a great Thursday! I just returned from taking Phoebe to the Vet. They prescribed an antibiotic and an antihistamine for her. They aren't sure if its an infection, although since they said she has no fever, I don't think it is one. But still better safe than sorry. I felt like I had the plague in there. They kept making a big deal about no other dogs being around when they took her out to be weighed, etc. And then they locked us in this room which a tiny window looking out into the rest of the office  But hopefully it is nothing more serious and the Doc said she should be showing less symptoms in a couple days. If not, we may need to bring her back to make sure nothing is stuck up there. Fingers and toes crossed the meds work!

Oh and good news - the clinic director gave me the OK to bring Phoebe in for "show and tell" at camp. Now I just have to discuss it with the parents. :thumbsup2 (Question - I found out one of the girls is allergic to animals or dogs, I guess anything with fur. But poodles are hypoallergenic and don't shed (they have hair not fur) so I'm thinking it won't be a problem. Anyone know for sure if they could still cause problems. She is on a trach and has cerebral palsy - very medically fragile so I wouldn't want to do anything to compromise her health. I could always do it on Wednesdays because she does not come then but I would really prefer Tuesdays. Plus I think she would really enjoy seeing and touching Phoebe.)

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

Just taking a quick break from class to share some fun news for me. For "camp" at the clinic, we will be discussing pets in the next couple of weeks. I brought up the idea of bringing in my Phoebe for an hour during a time that I'm not working to share her with the campers. She loved the idea! ...

I am happy that things are looking up and you get to bring your doggie to work!! Great idea!:thumbsup2

hello all
just got back from the dentist for all 5 of my kiddos and guess what absolutely positively no cavaties!!!
:

That is awesome!!:)

just made my first batch of magic pooh: muffins. they're in the oven now. i'll let you guys know how they turn out and if they work.....don't worry....no details! :lmao: i couldn't find the fat free brownie mix, so i got low fat. i figured out the calorie count to be around 115 per muffin. does that sound about right to those of you that have made them?
:

My husband would say something like that too! I can only find low fat brownie mix also. Do you happen to know what the fat and fiber were per muffin? I'm just wondering how many points they would be if I used the low fat kind.

Now... I want to share my Disney creation of the day!
I!

I love it! You did a great job!!:thumbsup2

Not only do I have ALL my books from when I was a kid but I also buy a bunch of Scholastic books when the kids at work have book orders. I also have all my Babysitters Club series! They are worth squat so I will hang on to them I guess!:

I use to collect and read The Babysitters Club! I still have them all too. I am saving them in case I have a daughter someday. She might like them as much as I did.

Good MORNIN!!

stormy here - I want to do something today too, maybe a movie tho - I'm thinking Nancy Drew - dd thinks ND is so "predictable - they tell you the answer in the title of the book" :sad2:

I thought that movie looked cute! I use to read those books. I don't think I could get DH to go see it so it might be a rental!

I'm going to a Pampered Chef party tonight! I get all excited over these things. It could be pulling weeds at a neighbor's house, and I'd be excited to get out of the house for a little while.
:

I love Pampered Chef! I have never been to one of the parties. I have ordered out of their catalog when someone at school has a "book party". Have fun!

For some reason I find it very hard to toss out leftovers, even when I know they are not good anymore. Like I am wasting food. I will be especially pained to toss out the leftover cake...but it has to go. It keeps calling me :rotfl:

I am like that too. I feel bad "wasting" food. Even though it really isn't going to waste.:confused3

OK...I just read this and don't know the whole situation, but I think I got the gist of it. So, here is my suggestion. SPANX! They are an amazing undergarment that takes 1-2 inches off of you. I bought mine at Lane Bryant for a dress I wore to my nieces wedding on Sat and they are wonderful!!! :thumbsup2 They have them in different degrees of coverage. I suggest you check them out. These should help.

I saw Jessica Alba on the View talking about Spanx (Not that she really needs them:rolleyes: ). She said that she wore them under her skin tight outfit for Fantastic Four. She loved them. I thought about getting some to wear under my work pants. Are they comfortable?

Good job! You should be proud of yourself!!:cheer2:

no idea! i only made half a batch (12) and so i only used half the brownie mix. so i had to redo the math because i think the calorie count was 1/18 of the box. it took awhile, but i figured it out. math is not my thing!!!!

GOOD MORNING, ALL!

I decided to be the mean mama and let her stew in her own forgetful juices. Her choices: Get in the car and go back home and have your music OR go to camp without your music and spend the night w/ your friend. Guess what she picked?

I'm tired of running after the bus! How can she learn from her mistakes if I keep fixing them? Am I being a meanie??
Husbands say the darndest things! Really, Dawn....eat a bowl of the rat turds....I mean all bran...for guaranteed results! :thumbsup2 If you can't bear the thought, then sprinkle it on some cereal that you like.
That is SO cute! I wish I could do that here. We are not telling DS about the Sept. trip til we get ready to go. We is a little OCD about the calendar and countdowns. It's really for my own sanity. BUT, he asked me last night...when can we go to Disney World again? ;)
OH, FUN! I love the zoo! We don't have one here so we have to drive at least an hour to any zoo or aquarium. Tara...have I told you that I've been to Buffalo several times? My college boyfriend was from Buffalo. I love it there. Of course, I've only been there in the summer time. ;)

MApiglet
....WELCOME HOME! Tell us all about it!

FIDGE
....I'm calling you out again, girl! Don't make me worry!

ALL POINTS BULLETIN OUT FOR NONI, ALLIE, & DENE!!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYBODY! :flower3:

No! You didn't tell me you have been to Buffalo....I go about 1 every other month to see my best friend.

And Super Nanny says you did the right thing...I know you feel bad but she has to learn to be responsible for her own stuff. :thumbsup2

NOPE! You did the right thing. My mom would ahve done that, and let me tell you....I learned from it. I double check everything before I leave now because I hate the feeling of forgetting something. All it takes is one time being the only one without something to get the message.

When we went last sept, it had been since 97 for me. I sure wish TX was closer to FL! I would love a 7.5 hour drive!!

Not much new here today. Watching my food very closely since it is weigh in day eve. It is cloudy and humid, so no swimming today. I am stuck in the house with temptation all day. I need to clean the fridge. For some reason I find it very hard to toss out leftovers, even when I know they are not good anymore. Like I am wasting food. I will be especially pained to toss out the leftover cake...but it has to go. It keeps calling me :rotfl:

me too!! I feel so guilty!!

:rotfl: No worries Dawn! I know I've made mention of my really weird digestive system here before. I mean, I've never gone into great detail, but it really does have an effect on weight loss! Sometimes I know I have trouble knowing how something I eat will affect me, and then it can affect my weigh in too. I am actually thinking that if they don't find anything on the endoscopy next week, I may ask the doctor about IBS. I don't know if that's my problem, but I'd like to know what the problem is so I'm treating it, not just the symptoms.

IBS'er here too...it's gotten better but I know what foods will do me in. I can look at something and just know. When I make a mistake the "gurgle" isn't far behind!! :rotfl:

My best friend gave me $25 Disney Dollars for my b-day..does she know me or what?? :wizard:

Dance- that dress is stressing me out! WHAT is she going to do???

Punkin- those are some NIIIIIICE tights on your gay super heros. What are the two white girls in the middle's super powers??? :rotfl:

Dweat- YAY!!!! Geenius!

Eventer- Disney dollars ROCK! We have princess ones left over!

Sandy! Bonus $$$ to fork over to the mouse! :yay:

HI!!!!! Everyone!!!!

We're having Meatballs from "My Girlfriend's Kitchen" that are BBQ with seasoned potato wedges. Smells goood cooking!

We have a couple who still post even after achieving their goals.

This is just a little invitation, if you are in need of support, please feel free to join us!

The ONLY givens are...
1. Post the good! Even if it's just getting in all your water, or walking past the mailbox when last week you couldn't. Post your thoughts and support and advice. Post your struggles because one of us surely is right there with you!

2. We weigh in on Fridays. Honor system, you don't post the # just the amount +

Kona ideas to follow!!

Wendy - I just love how you spread love and good vibes!! :goodvibes

Belle and Wendy - :thumbsup2 Thanks for the summaries - :wizard: everyone!! :wizard:

Nancy Drew - dd gave it a :thumbsup2 I thought it was campy, but not perfect - reminded me of the books, but it was missing something that I got from the book - hard to explain... I think its because while I enjoyed the movie, I think it wasnt worthy of the movie theatre... definately a great movie of the week... OK, they went out of there way to make Nancy and Ned... dorky in a young naive way... I never thought Nancy was naive... or Ned as just a doormat (he wasnt eye candy for Nancy... just there because of ??? It was hard to figure out! ) I just wish dd would read a Nancy Drew book - nah, maybe I just wish dd would love the Nancy Drew books as much as my mom and I did!!

I always like the books more than the movies. I think especially with characters that I really like I feel like I have my own idea of how they should be and when I see someone elses interpretation of it, it just isn't right. I am glad that your DD liked it.:thumbsup2

I was hoping it would be set in the 50's (??) like the books were. I like vintage stuff. Modern day didn't seem that appealing to me. :confused3

I better head off for the night...my battery is going to die. In EXACTLY 48 hours I will be watching Wishes from Ohanas!!! :cloud9:

I wanted to stay awake to see the ticker hit 1 day but I won't make it. My Peep Meet ticker is going to say less then 3 months after tonight!!!

UM-Great post for new subscribers....maybe we will have new friends for the Peep Meet?!

Jen - I forgot what part of Texas you are in, my relatives in Sherman TX got hit by HUGE rain - I thought of you and wonder how's the rains?
I am about 30 miles south of Sherman. We always get some of what they do, but they always get iti worse. We had just a sprinkle today but ti was prertty grey all day long.

Trust me, we tried it all yesterday before going to a tailor....at least SPANX brand are fairly comfortable and they smooth things out, but they didnt give her enough room. She is still probably going to wear them for the smoothing effect though.

YAY! Congrats!

Dance- that dress is stressing me out! WHAT is she going to do???
Didnt mean to keep you in suspense, but I didnt want to babble on and on about it. She had to be there at noon to try on the tailors handiwork...Did it fit? Hmmm.....See my next post!

So, for those following the dress drama 2007, she was told by the tailor that i would be ready for a fitting by 2 at the latest and when she called at noon it was ready. So we drove across town and she put it on....and this is what I saw:
(notice the dork in lime green in the back on the rt taking the pic ;)

And in case you cant tell...a closeup!

Yes, my peeps...the drama is over. UM can sleep well tonight ;) along with all of us. It was seriously stressing me out that the tailor would not be able to get it done and make it look nice. Thankfully they were telling us the truth. So they are finishing the bustle tonight and she picks it up at 9 am. They said they stayed very late last night to do it for her, so they are getting a very big thank you present from us for sure. And honestly we think they didnt ahve to take it out in as many places as they quoted us so we are hoping the estimate turns out to be higher than what we will pay tomorrow. Either way, the dress is done, AMEN! Thanks for listening to me babble about it the last 2 days :goodvibes
