Well, it isn't my first choice, but it will get me in and hopefully to my goal.
I worked in LA, CA schools for 16.5 years. We moved to NC 2 years ago and I have been staying at home since we moved.
I was a teacher for 12 years and a school counselor for 4.5 years in LA.
I interviewed at four schools and only got one offer. It was actually a horrible experience. I finally realized that in CA I had networked pretty well and that that was why it was so easy for me to get the jobs I wanted. Here noone knows me or the people I worked for.
Anyway, I took a teaching job for next fall. I wanted a counseling job but they are few and far between and I have heard that with budgeting issues, there may be even fewer than they thought.....so, I figured I would at least get myself networked a bit before trying to find a counseling job.
I will be working at 3, possibly 4 different schools (2 high schools and 1 middle school on the list right now), doing a pull-out program for ESL kids. I am actually really excited about it. I do have an MA in teaching ESL and many years of experience, so I do love it. I just really wanted to get back into the counseling office.
Anyway, just thought I would share. I haven't worked in NC yet and the pay and benefits are nowhere near where they should be, but they aren't as bad as they could be!

"HI" so you didn't forget about me!!!
Didn't have an issue with sitting that long, as I "went" before the movie started and didn't have anything to drink!

Could someone give me a summary, of sorts, on what I missed?
Mine was NOT skinny! But we'll see exactly how much damage was done on weigh in day. I don't trust the scale on other days, I guess.
She knows of course I am losing but she told me today she could see it in my face and my clothes fit so loose now! .
That is awesome!
