I lived in Spain (Barcelona) for my sr year in college so man, I totally understand the wild! That was an incredible year!

Noni, hope DH is feeling better and that you didn't give into stress eating.

I am back on track, I think, and I think I have pulled DH back up on the wagon with me which will help. I only ate about 900 cals yesterday and made it through all 1.5 hrs of hockey without dying. I am going to try and eat all 1200 today.

For anyone who may book VWL in the future, our room number was 5517 and we were on the top floor (which gives you vaulted ceilings). Balcony was "dormer" style which means no view when sitting, but for folks with young kids it may be safer that way.

I had a really great weekend planned but it's all messed up now. Saturday, I was going to pickup my 85 year-old grandma, who lives about 2 hours away, and bring her to my sister's house. She was to stay until Tuesday and go with us Monday to decorate my dad's (her son) grave. We even planned huge family meals for each night that she was to be in. However, all of those plans have been changed. Her 95 year-old brother died last night and the funeral is Saturday. Now she is the only living sibling out of 9 brothers and sisters. My grandma could really use some prayers. She has mentioned in the past that when her brother dies she would like to move closer to us. She didn't want to leave him alone. Please pray that everything will work out for her.

I LOVE Flying Circus! I bought the entire series on a big 20-DVD set a few years ago. Every now and then I'll break out a funny walk, just for the heck of it.

i wore that same exact goofy hat on my first trip when i was 8 or 9! i have a picture of me sitting next to goofy with that hat on and a big dumb smile on my face and goofy's holding my infant baby sister and she's just sitting back in his lap and gazing up at his big nose! it's so cute! she's 23 now....i'm getting old!

I had this exact same cap, and I found it last month while cleaning out my basement during the move. I also had an old Donald Duck hat with a squeaky bill, but the mice got to that one so there wasn't much left of it.

i loved both the top two, so i don't have any complaints. this is the first year that i would've been happy with either of them winning. now i do think that melinda was immensely talented, but i was bored with her. i think that's why she got voted off.....she just didn't appeal to people or something. but like i said, she's a VERY talented girl. it's all bragging rights anyway because they're all gonna get a record deal!

and fran - i'll be praying for your grandmother.

HA! My younger sister, the one in the pic had the Donald hat! I will ahv eto ask her if it is still around. We are all pack rats and save everything, so I am betting she does.

I actually think the top 4 or 5 will all end up getting record deals. There were alot of really great singers this year as compared to the past few years. I cant remember more than the top 2 or so from all the yrs past but I am betting a a yrs time I will still remember most of this years top 5.

They were going through Bowling Green, KY at about 10 eastern...so it will be late before they get back here to TX. If any of you see a gold Chevy Hilander speeding down the highway at warp speed on the way through your town...that is probably my mom. She has a bit of a lead foot. At least I know where I got it from

I will be spending the day doing laundry and making pretty little bows for all my little kiddos tap shoes for dress rehearsal. I have 44 kids, so that is 88 bows I do it every year and every year I tell myself it is not necessary, and then do it anyways At least it will keep me from sitting here eating and watching the clock!

i just got off the phone with my sister who leaves in the morning for WDW. i'm so excited for her! isn't it crazy how you can be super excited for SOMEBODY ELSE going to disney world??? i made her give me her schedule so i can pretend to be there with her. so this time tomorrow we'll be at MGM! anyway, please add her to your prayer list for safe travels as they're flying to orlando from nashville tomorrow. is it possible to be excited for and jealous of someone at the same time!!!??!?

Kat Thanks for sharing - where's the geyser picture???!! We stayed at BWV - I love the one bedrooms - the pull out bed was comfy - dd enjoyed it - but sharing that bathroom was awkward - "the window " into the master bedroom never felt secure from dd eyes!
