We were at Disney from the 5-12. Punkim...I was looking out for you the whole time, I didn't see one focker

i kept my eyes out for lime green, too, and didn't see anyone!!! so disappointing. i did hear one guy tell another guy on the bus that his wife is always on "that disboards thing." but it was so crowded and i was so tired (bus ride back to the hotel at night!) that i didn't bother bugging him about who his wife was.

me and winkers had a peep meet set up...but i don't want to ruin our TRs so i won't go there right now.

i had to tell you this story because i know a fellow sopranos watcher would appreciate it. me and DH were in nashville one time having lunch at this little restaurant near vanderbilt university called santa fe taco company. the locals call it "SATCO" and it's REALLY GOOD.....we always go there. anyway, we're sitting on the deck outside eating and we're the only ones there except for another couple in the corner. the girl gets up to throw something away and it's ARIANA (sp?) FROM THE SOPRANOS!!! you know, chris's gilfriend that they knocked off? she was there...at satco....in nashville. i kept saying to DH, "is that really her?" because people always look different in person. she was really tall and really thin and really pretty. she was with some dingy-looking guy. i later saw a picture of her and the same guy in a magazine, so i know that was her that day. the guy she was with is the dude who plays a young waylon jennings in "walk the line." anyway, i thought it was pretty cool that we saw her there. i'm easily impressed i guess!

I don't watch the Sopranos, but they did film a few episodes around here. Once they filmed at my friends apple orchard. She signed a contract with a production company for the filming, but didn't know it was for the Sopranos until the cast got there. Apparently they are quite secretive. Nsalz was having her work Christmas party at a hotel where the cast was staying, so the cast joined the party!

I have spent close to THREE HOURS on the phone trying to book air for the Sept trip!! Air Tran is $124 RT pp - United is $204 RT pp - no brainer right?? WRONG!! We have a voucher for United for $150 that expires in Oct - so I shifted dates, and called Disney, can add 1 day (I should state before I added one day the RT pp United was $277 bEFORE taxes )

I have spent hours prodding dh on this now - and I'm this ready to quit!! And I tried one last time - you cant add a voucher online... so I call, and you know all those phone centers are outsourced... To redeem the voucher I have to either 1. drive to OHARE AIRPORT! (umm NO) or 2. Mail it... ok, so I'll mail it.. NO ADDRESS Call back, get into that stupid cycle, and wait on hold for a live person - address, IN DEARBORN MICHIGAN!! ayyiyiiyiii!!

Its just not worth it United!! Just not! ok, well $150 + one extra day in Disney... maybe just a bit worth it.. of course dh is NOT happy to add one more day (that cost how much??? OK, but we have to have a non stop because of the horror of last United 11 hour hour one way trip)

OMG!!! That looks totally awesome!!! I can't wait to try it this weekend for my "Disney Party" with my 4 friends who are all going in Nov!!!

I'm with ya! My kids are 11, 13, and 15. They need the guidance! I think I'm pretty strict, but DD15 tells me that on field trips, especially overnight ones) the kids want to know if I'll be chaperoning because they want to be in my group. Apparently They say I'm the "cool mom". This totally shocked me as I figured that they would do anything to stay away form me..The mean one! I think they actually appreciate a little guidance and it makes them feel safer!

My DD's always brought home friends after school, all of those that could go home to an empty house and do whatever they wanted, but they always chose to come to my house with me home and RULES!!! Can you imagine??? I truly believe kids like to have the boundaries & rules...they feel loved, cared for and safe! (IMHO)

i didn't know that! apparently the girl who played ariana (whose real name escapes me right now - it's a complicated name!) is dating him or at least was at the time. he's very hippy-looking and not in a good way! i've heard that name before though, shooter jennings.

Sandy- crap! I'd have gone ape-sh_t on them!!!!!! I'm SO glad my DS isn' t like that. Good luck on the flight! We fly Delta for free, or we would NOT be going!

Snowwhite- Good on the extra 12 pounds! Woo HOO!!! I hate my lying scale ....BUT I've lost 2 of the 4 pounds gained last week at Disneyland. YAY!

Monika - its not fat free but here is the recipie.

*Pineapple Dole Whip*
Adventureland

*Ingredients:*
2 cans (20 oz. each) DOLE Crushed Pineapple
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/3 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped

*Instructions:*

Drain pineapple; reserve 2 tablespoons juice. Set aside.

Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar and reserved pineapple juice
in blender or food processor container. Cover; blend until smooth.

Pour into two 1-quart freezer zipped bags. Store bags flat in freezer.
Freeze 1-1/2 hours or until slushy.

Stir pineapple slush gently into whipped cream until slightly blended, in
large bowl.

Return to freezer until completely frozen, about 1 hour and serve.

Speaking of storms. It was a beautiful day. Most of the day. Now the skys are dark we had some incredible winds that finally stopped, and now I'm listening to the rumbles. I hear sirens in the way distance and we have baseball games scheduled for tonight. It was in the 80's and now it cooled down at least 15 degrees.

I don't see many famous people here in Cheyenne either (probably doesn't help that I work from home and never go anywhere) but I used to see Chris LeDoux every now and then. Also, Dick Cheney is from Wyoming and flies in on Air Force 2 to eat lunch at the Hitching Post and I can see the airplane when he lands here. Big whoop. For any of you who are into rodeo we have had the chance to meet some big names in rodeo during Cheyenne Frontier Days and I did meet the Judds one time. My husband waited on Jan Micheal Vincent one time and had no idea who he was (McGyver-hello).

I still miss Dr. Quinn...I had a horrible time letting go of that one. I do have all the seasons on DVD but it's not the same. They just don't make quality shows like that anymore.
