Can any of you tell me whether you had issues with the smoke from the wildfires in the Orlando area? Or could you tell in the parks that the smoke was a problem at all?

You snuck in! I have no idea, but I did see on Fox that they had to close the highway into Florida...

Someone tell me why 3.56 miles feels like 4 miles??? and it took me almost an hour!! One day at a time, cant let the Peeps down!

you could see that it looked hazy from a distance from the smoke. but i don't remember smelling it or anything. i do have a sore throat that started on the way back home, but i don't think that's from the smoke...just my body being tired and shutting down!

Happy Mother's Day again Peeps! Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

DB, DSIL and kids came over this morning and I showed my mom the slideshow. I made her cry! She even gave me a hug (which sounds normal to most, but as close as we all are, we aren't a touchy feely family, so a hug is only the norm if you're going on a trip or something.) Then we all went to Panera for bagels and chatted. When we got home, she wanted to watch it again - and she teared up again! She says I need to add to it every year now.

As a mom those are the best kind of gifts to receive! My dd Bailie had my dh and sons help her do a power point for me. It was so sweet and of course made me cry.

I just worked in the yard for 1 1/2 hours - and you cant tell it - DS trimmed/pruned the dead evergreen branches, so I had to prune it into bags that would comply with the village!!

Thanks, Punkin, my mom is trying to start worrying just a little, but we're just planning on it not being a problem. How's that for having your head in the sand?! I don't won't to change my vacation plans! Or her to either.

The more positives I hear about the smoke (and that is mostly what I'm hearing) the better I feel!

I ended up going to the in-laws after all. It was alright but still hard. Thanks for all the support though!! It really means a lot to me.

Dance-I hear your troubles with swimsuits..I think I mentioned this before but I am two diff. sizes when I buy separates. Small on top and large on bottom. Another reason I don't like to swim!

UM-I also hate my thighs/butt in pictures. Get me from waist up and I look slim. Add my legs and it's horrible! I have this pic of me infront of RNRC and I look huge. I think I deleted that pic.

I found a pair of windpants material capris I forgot I had..in my current size. They fit perfect and are nice and cool/light. I will probably wear them ED at WDW. Luckily there are free washers at SSR!!!

Food today stunk. I did better then I thought..there were MANY temptations. I am going to make sure I only have fat free snacks this week (fruit!) to make up for it.

B-one belgian waffle/syrup (no butter)
L/D-hamburg, one serv. mac salad, spoonful of pot. salad, 2 helpings fruit salad, water
S-oreo cake (it was sooooo good!), vanilla creme brulee (never had it before..how could I say no??), cupcake
S-4 twizzlers, goldfish crackers, diet coke

My best Guesstimate is that I had aorund 1900 cals today. I havent been to the gym much this week, not because I dint watnto but becasue there werent enuff hrs in the day! Tonight am doing situps and pushups and stretching. hopefully going to my class tomorrow night for wts...

OK...food was going ok today until we went to Cold Stone Creamery! For those who don't know, this is an ice cream place that takes ice cream and mixes in whatever you want, by hand, on a stone. YUM!!! Well, Mom's got a free med ice cream, so I had a "Coffee Lovers"...coffee ice cream, caramel, almonds & heath bar! Their med is equal to a normal large so it was LOTS of ice cream. I didn't eat it all, but still ate 2/3 of it! Now I need to do crunches and something else to work it off!!! (Probably not.)

Eventer...Glad to hear you went to in-laws today. i know it was hard, but I'm sure DH appreciated you going to honor his Mom today.

OMG _ COLD STONE!!! YUMMMMMMMmmmm!!!!! DS #2 gf works there - do sign up for their bday list - - free ice cream!!

I am so ready to tell my MIL off - in no uncertain terms!! I am mad as hell, and I'm not going to take her hurting my dh anymore!! Can you believe she turns off her phone to him? That she chose her daughters over her ONLY eldest son? What a witch! I try to get along with the woman, but 26 years ago she told me I'd never be welcome in the family, and talk about holding a grudge! My gawd who would cut their SON out of their lives??? to see how this hurts my dh is awful, he deserves love! Do you know he cleans the kitchen, does dishes every day - 25 years + he has done dishes - that is love in my eyes. He has read to the kids every night, every night.... he used to bathe them, then read... as they get independent, he just reads... and he puts so much thought into the books he chooses for those books ( 20 years ago we learned ds #1 was hard of hearing, and we needed a "language enriched environment... well I am spoiled... and it makes me so angry that my mil is so blind to the hurt she causes this amazing, loving, sensitive man!! (17 years ago I "went off" on ds Sign language/hearing impaired school the world needs more sensitive men - why is it women cant accept sensitive men??)

OK. . . I'm sure this is an angry vent, best left on the cutting room floor ( aka delete, delete...)

I'm so sorry to hear this. I used to date a guy whose mom walked all over him. We still talk and laugh over his mom screaming for him when we would hang out. Ugh. That's one of the reasons our relationship ended..she was such a witch and I didn't want that the rest of my life. I hope that DH is ok and that he realizes he will always have you. What does he have to say about all this??

Thanks for the answer!!!! I that she is called "GiGi"! For me it is short for "Grandma Gayle", but I think it is just a fun alternative to Grandma!

On another note..I think I had a rude poster on my TR. I can't tell though. Said something about my DH not being a "big guy" but XL?? I toned down my response b/c I can't tell what the heck they meant.

I went and checked out the post and it is hard to know what the poster meant. Maybe she was trying to be witty or clever . Other than your picture of the horse you also talke about horses with another poster so maybe she wasn't reading the whole thing. Also, Punkins answer was great!!

Ok, I had to go read the responses. I'm not sure either. I don't really even get what they meant I'm thinking that the poster didn't mean it in a mean way because they came back and posted again, totally oblivious to any comments about her post. But still, it reads awkwardly and doesn't make much sense.
