Pigget- don't be bummed if you didn't lose very much (or not at all). After you weigh in and go to class, come home and post what the WW class was about. Share the info, please. I need the motivation and cant go myself.
Thanks UMA..i will be sure to pass on the words of wisdom from my WW leader..:)
Disobsession--thanks for the kind words as well...you are right i must relax :hippie: and be happy i am making smart healthy choices ! :)

Eventer...: my thoughts are with you. And by the way, imho, your choice is your choice, and i probably would have done the same. no one has a right to judge you. :grouphug:

adding HUGS Eventer - you do know you best, dont let others judge you on your feelings - you get to decide what is best for you!!

WELCOME, welcome, WELCOME all newbies, and lurkers looking for support - and willing to share support - post often to get the most out of the thread!! I promise you will feel welcome if you want to be welcome!! It can be intimidating, so I take notes trying to remember everyone - and then there are times when I'm just going to throw in the towel!! Did anyone see Oprah today? Darn I hate when time comes rearing up - I remember the first time Bob Greene grabbed those people and here it is later, and I'm no better off - thanks to me! Shall I just go eat? Take a nap? I know, jump on the wagon.................

hello and GOOD morning!
FIRST..i am so nervous about my first WW weigh in tonight..i have totally been OP this first week, i mean i used my flex pts..but that is what they are for right?? If i don't show a loss i am going to be bummin! Anyone else go through this nervousness when they first started WW?? :scared1:

ALSO..i know it was a few posts ago, but i loved the Office banter and Dwight quotes..love that Shrute..but of course i have a soft spot for Jim! :)
I was always worried about WW weigh ins when I was doing it. I would really freak out the first week, but it got easier. I actually started weighing myself on my scale at home right before or after WW weigh in so that I could compare the numbers on my scale from week to week. It helped lessen the blow when the number was not so pretty. Nothing worse than having my jaw drop in front of everyone when I see that I gained or something. I could have a private freak out at home, and then act very composed in front of everyone else:rotfl:

Sad day today. My grandma passed away. :sad1: She was 94 and had been in a nursing home since before my mom died..so probably '03. She had dimensia really bad and didn't even know my dad the last few months. I had not been up to see her since Xmas of '05. It sounds horrible but at that time she still knew me. I wanted to remember her that way. My dad was ok with that. I got A LOT of crap from my crazy aunt and uncle (who live in Maine..pot calling the kettle black) about not visiting her. But I thought it was a personnal choice. I am ok with it. My dad went every week though. So anyway, I am hanging in there but it's still sad. She basically raised me b/c both my parents work. I even have her cat that I gave her back in '93. She always said the cat would out live her! ;)
Awwww, I'm so sorry! And I would have done the same thing. People can judge all they want, but it is YOUR decision. I would not have wanted to go through seeing her not knowing me or even who she is. I would much rather think of her happier days.

Hi, sorry it's been a couple of days since I visited. Been so busy here at work. Thank you Punkin for asking WIDisneyFan to post his creedo! I agree 100%! As for the warning about how fast this thread moves, you guys weren't kidding! I still haven't weighed myself. Not dying to look at the numbers, plus I am probably still bloated and retaining water from the whole birthing process. I am just trying to start slow for now, and gradually once my head straightens out more, get really into the swing of things. Thanx for all the advice, it will come in handy. I will probaby weigh myself in 2 weeks, and see how it goes from there. :thumbsup2

Take your time on that first weigh in...start small. Just make good choices and take it one day at a time.

Not much new here today. My back is a bit more normal today and I was able to clean up the mess I made in DD's toy room. I have my daycare kids here today and it is nice to have some noise here again. Amanda wont be back until Thursday night! It has been nice for DH and I to spend some time alone though, even if all we do is sit and stare at each other becase we cant think of much to say!

Happy Birthday, Celery!
Happy Anniversary, Kat!
Sorry for your loss, Tara.

So much going on seems like. Hope all the big events etc go well!

Sorry to be so brief but rushing to get this done.

Going from memory which is a bad idea. Hope I didn't miss anything big! Good wishes, of course, for everyone who needs them.

did someone say big brother???? i LOVE me some BB! my favorite was season 6....i loved howie and janelle! i'm not much of a TV person in that i only have a handful of shows that i have to watch but BB is one of them. and i also love so you think you can dance. in fact, that show is the reason i can't watch dancing with the stars....because the kids on SYTYCD are so good and the stars on DWTS are so bad, comparitively speaking!!!!

Howie and Janelle were a riot last year. I wonder what the "twist" will be this year?

I got the funniest gift from a student today: A bracelet from Bad Boys Bail Bonds with their 800 # inscribed. And I thought I hid that side so well!

.
That is too funny!:rotfl:

Just wanted to mention that DH's last day in the Navy is tomorrow!!! :cool1: Although, I have to admit I will miss the uniform every AM and the job security. He will still get paid through July and then start his new job selling life insurance after our trip. (double paychecks are nice..even if it's only for a month!!) Any one need l.insurance? ;)

Congratulations on DH new job! :cool1:

NO FREEAKIN WAY!!!

If you all claim to like Big Brother - then you MUST promise me to join me over to the greatest bb for BIG BROTHER EVER!!

http://www.tvclubhouse.com/forum/messages/10972/3987509.html?1179802882

There are some awesome people that buy and get the live feeds and transcribe them... minute per minute, and include screen caps - but of course now with youtube - you can just watch the highlights that never make it to air - its just the best discussion board - moderated so no making mean comments about each other or cast members ( you can say I dont like how Bunky cries in the DR but you cant say Bunky is a crybaby... sorta like that!)

BB is what got me online and into message boards!! You will get family members joining this messsage boards, and yes, even a time or two actual Bb contestants11

OK OK... I'm weird!!

btw Bachelor proposed, she said yes, and tomorrow is the after the final rose ceremony...

Loved Joey's dance on dancing with the stars - such energy... but I saw flashbacks, yes I did - Nsync anyone???

DH is turning 50 on Thurs, so we are heading to Niagara Falls, Canada for a night in a hotel, complete with Jacuzzi on Wed night. Then on Thurs we are spending the day together at Niagara on the Lake, which has lots of cute shops and we'll do alot of walking. He didn't want a party, so I'm not giving him one. Spending the day together will be the best present anyway! ;) I can't wait!!!

I have always wanted to go to Niagara Falls. That sounds like a great trip!:)

I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandma, who raised me for 8 years, passed away in february. And don't worry about your crazy relatives! They're probably projecting their own guilt onto you......easier to blame someone else than face the truth sort of thing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.:grouphug:

Good evening, Peeps!

I haven't had a chance to read back...I hope everyone is doing well!:grouphug:

Today all I had was:
1/2 cup pasta noodles 4 points
2/3 cup pasta sauce 1 point
1 cup Morningstar Farms crumblers 1 point
1 piece of bread w/ICBINB 3 points
I have 16 points left for the day!:yay: I was just super busy getting stuff ready to sell on eBay and our big garage sale --- I guess I forgot to eat.:confused3 That is twice now in the past week.
I need to get my eat-on!

Tara~ I'm sorry for your loss. Dh chose not to see his greatgrandma the last few years she was alive because of her dementia. His grandma told him it was wrong and selfish but, he too only wanted to the good things, not the woman ssitting in the wheelchair or hospital bed that didn't know who he was.

I didn't know Ray was in the Navy. I'm a former Navy wife and even after 7 yrs still miss it. It was scary and hard when we first got out but we've made it through.

Sparkie~ Congrats to your DS! It sounnds like you've got a few busy days ahead of you.

Heather~ What a sweet name. Good luck moving rooms.

3M~ Welcome to our group! Sorry to hear about your loss. Take your time and when you're ready things will come together.

Lessa~ Welcome!

Jennifer (Dance)~ Sorry to hear abut your back. As you know, I know what that's like. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Stacey~ You may as well have your own catering service. At the rate you're gong, you're going to buy out half of Sam's Club. Hope you're having fun and not stresssing too much.

Cheryl~ Love the grandwuppy. He's adorable.

Sandy! Hope your ankle is feeling better. We'll be watching a few of those shows. We love Hell's Kitchen and Top Chef. I'm not into some of the other shows but these we don't miss.

Everyone else~ :flower3: and :lovestruc ya!

Thanks so much for the b-day wishes for my youngin' The poor girl was forgotten by most of our extended family. I think DH's surgery kind of overshadowed her big day. :guilty: My dad called my sis while we were having dessert. She told him we were having b-day cake and he couldn't figure out who's day we were celebrating. He'd forget his own b-day though if we didn't send cards and gifts...... My MIL forgot too. DD called her and had to remind grandma that it was her b-day. Kara (DD) felt a lot better after talking to a few of her grandparents so her day ended well.

I gave into some stress eating tonight. I hadn't eaten hardly anything all day and DH wanted to have Skyline Chili for dinner. I gave in and had the spaghetti with chili and cheese. I haven't looked up the points yet but I have a feeling I went over.

I'm starting to get tired, I think I'm heading to bed early tonight since I'm going to have a really long day tomorrow. I'll try to check in when I can.

Breezing throught to say hello.
I feel like I never even have time to catch up anymore! I have dozens of pages to read!
Lets see... besides working and running my DD around for senior events what else has been going on with me you may wonder?
My sleep test got rescheduled again and now it is this weekend. I know... way to spend a holiday weekend.:thumbsup2
Ds is giving me stress. He keeos getting bullied. He fought back and got detention last week. Honestly when the school calls I could just cry.
I had the most humiliating experience today. I went for an MRI and got pinched inside. They had to stop the test. I have to go to a different center where they have bigger machines. I am so embarrassed!
My mom had another TIA (mini stroke) and wanted to still go on her trip to see Helmut Lotti in Brussles. The doctor said she could stroke there but if she stays home there is no guarantee it will not happen here either so we told them to go and have fun.
My DD got her lisence! Fourth time was the charm;)
We have a time share week to use this summer so we decided to go without the kids. DD will be 19 and DS will be 15 and thier dad will watch them part of the week. I am worried. I know I moved out when I was 18 but my DD seems so young! How do people get through letting them go? I am a wreck and she starts college in a few months!
Think SKINNY !!:woohoo:

Thank you for all the warm thoughts. It really means a lot. My uncle left me a mess. today and is having a memorial service for her on the 16th.

I am so sorry for your loss. :grouphug: At least you can take comfort in knowing that she lived a very full, and I am sure happy, life.

As for not visiting her more, you are right that it was your choice. And if you are ok with it emotionally, that is all that matters. My grandma died about 6 years ago when she was 88. She lived in a nursing home for about 2 years before she died. She was pretty much a second mother to me growing up, and for the last 10 years of her life I would visit her every Friday night after school or work before going out with my friends. But when she was down and out and on oxygen the last few days of her life, I made the decision to not go and see her. She was unresponsive, and I didn't want to see her like that. Everyone told me "you'll regret not seeing her one last time". But you know what? I don't regret it for one second. My memories of her are all happy, and I didn't want to mess with that. Call me selfish, but I honestly believe she wouldn't want it any other way.
I visited her more when she was still in her house or when my mom was alive. I think after she died I had a hard time even being in the nursing home after all the hospital visits to my mom. My crazy aunt had tried to tell me I should be more like my mom was and visit every few days. I had to go off on her on that one. I am not my mom and neither my mom or my grandma would have judged me. Anyway, thanks for the support!

I didn't know Ray was in the Navy. I'm a former Navy wife and even after 7 yrs still miss it. It was scary and hard when we first got out but we've made it through.

He was a navy recruiter the last 4 years and worked 2 miles from our house. Pretty cushy job. I told him if he can sell the Navy during war time I think he can sell life insurance! I am more nervous then him but he is excited for the change so I am supportive. I just hate change and the Navy brought security.

Food for today. So-So.
B-PB Capt. Crunch, sk. milk, light OJ
L-grilled cheese, fries, diet coke
D-5 fishsticks, cornbread, watermelon, diet snapple
S-3 cookies

Well I think I did fairly well for my first day! For breakfast I had cereal (All Bran) with a glass of skim milk. Lunch was a grilled chicken breast and dinner was a WW Smart Choice Ravioli meal (yummy). I allowed myslef the indulgence of a peanut butter cookie for dessert. I also squeezed in 40 mins of the elliptical although it was not all at once. It was 20 min in the morning and 20 in the evening. I hope to do better on the exercise front tomorrow.

Eventer I was sorry to hear about your loss it is never easy to lose a loved one.

Hi Peeps,

Still trying to catch up on school work, but I'm taking mini breaks to stay semi-caught up. Just not posting a ton.

I do want to give  to Tara. Sorry to hear about your grandmother. You and your family will be in my prayers. And I'll send :wizard: to make the next few days a little easier to get through. My grandfather was 92 when he passed and it was still hard to handle despite the fact that you "expect" it.

Hope the rest of you are doing well! I can't wait til Friday. It will be my first day to sleep in and I'm going to watch Alice in Wonderland (that I DVRed today) as a reward for busting my behind this week :thumbsup2 Then Saturday is my birthday! :woohoo: The big 2-7! :rotfl2:

:grouphug: and :cheer2: to those who need them!

Thanks for your support as well. What channel was Alice on? I only have my DVR set to find things with Disney in the title. Are we going to get a little feedback from your trip soon?? :wizard:

Wonders- The big 27 eh? You are OLD! Happy Birthday early! Only 2 more good birthdays.... (sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Everyone's doing great on their diets! I did have Hoodia and diet Pepsi for breakfast. Then Activia yogurt for snack. Then it was downhill: 4 chicken taquittos with guacamole and just now a white bread ham and cheese sandwich. Can I just say white bread (Grandma Sycamore!!!!) is a rare and NAUGHTY treat!

With Miracle Whip, people! :sad2:

The biggest diet blunder of the day is ZERO water and TONS of diet Pepsi!

I did walk around with Misty and took my vitamins. :cheer2:

Did y'all watch Oprah today??? More on that Bob Green's "Best Life" diet. He rocks! One of the participants is a Utahn! YAY!!!!

Alice was on Toon Disney this morning (I saw it while I was getting ready) and then re-aired at 5. I tried to see if it was on in the next few days and nothing came up.

I am busy tomorrow all day and Thursday during the day but I'm hoping to download my pics Thursday night and get the first installment in by Friday!
