I weighed this morning and I am down 4.6 lbs. So I was at 201.4 on Friday weigh-in, afternoon though, so shouldn't really count, but I didn't know Friday was weigh-in day! I was at 196.8 this morning! Guess all this water is working!

Not sure what I am going to eat yet today. I am "working from home" so no gym (too far away).

Good morning, Peeps!
I know I have been Flakely McFlake lately on this thread...I just have not been keeping up with all the conversation and I just feel so out of the loop. My DH dropped a bomb on me a few weeks ago. He wants to quit running our business to be a police officer. He is going through testing until August/September and then if he makes it he will go to the (CHP) Police Academy for 6 months. I will only see him during Thanksgiving and Christmas. We live in Boise and the CHP Academy is in Sacramento. After he is done, Maddie and I will relocate with him to California. I am still trying to figure out HOW we are going to do this and it is stressing me out and I have been non-stop eating. This is his dream and most of his family is in law enforcement in some way. I am just scared because we will be apart and things are going to be very financially tight here until he graduates. I appreciate you all letting me vent.

I want to come back to this thread if that is ok I think this is my 3rd try.

I see that there is a peep meet in Sept! I hope you all have a great time!

It's easy to feel out of the loop, but just jump back in!!!

We've got a 20# challenge we JUST started this last friday. Twenty pounds by the September meet. Including non-meet peeps.

I think the prize is whatever you want to do for yourself. It's a self-bought-prize. I'm doing a beaded or charm necklace with each bead representing a pound. That, and the meet are motivating me like crazy!


My DH is also switching careers. The job he has now is thankless and the hours are brutal (6 pm to 6 am) so he's switching first.

When he's all set, I'm going back to school for Esthetics (facials, waxing, permanent cosmetics, etc.) and I think my real life BFF, Spongie is going to go with me!!! I'm so jazzed about it.

Change is scary. California is just beautiful, you may love it! Don't stress too much, we're here for you!!!!

Calorie Counters- a question for you!

I found a calculator online to get a better total calorie number for myself on calorieking.com. This one seems to make sense and it breaks down cal, fat, protein and carbs for me per day. Anwyays, if I do exercise and find the calories burned for that, do I subtract that from what I have eaten today? In other words, if I exercise can I eat the extra calories I burned? Common sense would tell me I can, but I dont want to make that mistake and eat too many!

I can relate to what you're going thru! My dh started going back to college last fall for a total change in career. When he's done in 3 years it will most likely mean moving. which really scares me. I've been in my house for almost 12 years. And my oldest 2 will be in high school. But since this change means my dh will be happier it's worth it!

Another family has offered for her to go with them and that was a lifseaver. since the tournament is 2.5 hours away.

Heather....I thought about you this weekend! That's one of those situations where you don't hope the team will lose but it would be more convenient if they did. Glad they won and your covered for your trip.

Afternoon Peeps!

I just got caught up on my reading, but I didn't quote as I couldn't do it all at once. I'll try to remember everything, but I'm likely to forget something!

I missed lots of talk about PassPorter. I received the standard edition for Christmas, but wanted the Deluxe. DH and I had seen the 2006 Deluxe at Border's so we went there, but they didn't have it. We ended up having the store order it, and then we brought in the standard edition and exchanged. I LOVE it! And I already need to order refills for the Sept trip. AND I have corrections to make to what I have written down for May!

UM - I didn't go back to my church this Sunday, but we will be going next week! I didn't know how much work we would be doing at the house this weekend, what with all the moving of all the beds. And DH had talked about putting up chair rail in the guest bedroom, but we didn't do that yet. But next week, we are going to my church again, and I am so excited.

The new mattress is MAHVELOUS! SOOOOO comfy! It's a Stearnes & Foster Oasis. Now, if only I could get the cat to quit crying outside our bedroom door at 7am because he's hungry! I don't think he's really a cat - I'm pretty sure he's a fluffy pig!

DH was off this weekend (which I had forgotten! ), so we did a few things around the house, ran some errands, went to the Coach outlet about 45 minutes away to get my purse cleaned (ended up having to buy cleaner and do it myself, but it looks great!), got my anniversary present early - a NEW COACH PURSE , went to a new Old Navy that just opened up at the same outlet mall (I got a few new items for the trip - some of them in an XL instead of XXL ), went out to eat with my SIL and her DH, came home, and had a friend come over to visit who we hadn't seen in a year! It was a busy weekend, but a nice one!

UM & Daisy - I'll keep you in my prayers with all the career changing going on!

Shula - Will keep you in my prayers for that house hunt!

Hi PEEPS!

I haven't been on in a while ,I just haven't felt very PEEPISH. The house,kids,etc has felt a little out of control and my weight has followed it.I skipped Friday's weigh in for the first time because I just couldn't handle facing the scale.

I caught up on about fifteen pages but it is all a blur right now.Welcome to the newbies and prayers for everyone that needs them.

I would like to join the September challenge but I only have about fifteen lbs to lose.Only...ha!

I would like to ask for some prayers and Pixie Dust for my DD8.She had her checkup last Thursday and has gained 21 lbs in less than a year. I knew she had gained but not that much.The Dr. did alot of blood tests just to make sure that there was not a medical reason for the gain but all the tests came back negative.I feel like this is all my fault and we are making some changes in the house.

Today I have already had 80 ounces of water and done well with my food choices.I also remembered my Hoodia. I have cleaned house and done laundry all day but now i think I wilkl take my DD8 on a walk.See ya!!

BTW I am ready to move now Jekyll Island GA was so lovely!!! It was snowing here when we left and really am very sick of snow thankfully it has left! Melinda, ahhhh no on the 3lbs more like 7 EEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!!!! Aunt flo is also vistiing naturally loves to make an appearance on every vacation.

Bee I got a new camera to learn on budget really wighed in heavliy on the decision and picked up a kodak C633 it came in the bundle pack with printer but am hoping to upgrad by Chrstimas I am sure I will make a hint DH's way like a billboard sign or something equally subtle, sky writer well I have time to plan that hint!

OK I need to get back on track WDW diing beat me down I succumb to that DDP and it all its lovely desserts and appetizers and etc!!!!!

dismom - I'm glad you're getting a handle on your daughter's weight now. My nutrition class taught us that kids should try to maintain their weight (since they're growing) instead of losing it. A co-worker never told her daughter that she was on a diet, just made some changes in the house and enrolled her DH in a sport, and she's managed to lose some weight. Anyway, I'm proud of you for doing something about it! Good for you!

I ordered the lip/cheeck stain (it works for every complexion), the minty foot scrub, and some face scrub. Can you tell I'm DRY and need exfoliation? When do our orders arrive? I can't wait! It'll be like a mini-christmas! I LOVE getting stuff in the mail!

welcome back, fidge!!!!!!!!! i LOVE jekyll island, too. didn't you just love how it wasn't so touristy like most beaches? there's not a lot of commercial stuff going on and it's just so pretty!
