argh - what a day! my whole family went on vacation and all I got was to clean the house!

Utah - I failed you, I had 1/2 a diet coke and 1/2 beer. but I figure its better than normal so still consider it a success...

I had the kickboxing class from H-E dbl hockey sticks...I was fine during class (had a new teacher and a different routine) but now I am getting REALLY tight in my shoulders and back...

I had a poor me hour or two tonite...I wore the wrong clothes to Kick and I was self concious the whole time and I couldn't move well (pants were a little tight) and I felt like a big lump of rolly polly cottage cheese. Gross...and we had to work in the mirror during Kick I hate that part...and whats worse is while I was running on the elliptical it was very evident that the fans were on me, thus the "lights" were on 9even tho I had on my best sports bra - I felt like such a goober

then I came home to a quiet house and was all sad...but then Dismom called and got me laughing and now I feel lots better...Thanks Dis!

So thats my day...off to clean a while and try to find my carpet!

I'm really hoping they say yes for you! And exactly what dates are you talking about? Sounds like we might get to meet you! ;)

I think those are the things that make your wedding your own. When I look back now (almost six years later) the things that didn't go perfectly are the things that we laugh about the most.

I couldn't agree more! :rotfl:

 sorry about your lousy day.

try this for your tight shoulders and back. stand in a doorway and put your hands around the frame. then lean forward as far as you can while gripping the frame and keeping your feet in the center of the doorway. this loosens up your chest. then do the same thing in the opposite direction (backwards) and this will loosen up your back. i have scoliosis, so my back and chest tighten up a lot and that's what my chiropractor told me to do. it usually helps!

and about the "headlight" problem, i've found that i have to wear a regular bra under my sports bra in order to prevent that. it would ALWAYS happen to me in class, even if i wasn't near a fan!

I am making my grocery list. I am looking to stock up on some low cal things. Can anyone share some of their favorite "food finds"?

Right now I am loving  Fiber One Chocolate Granola Bars.

thanks so much! I'll go try it right now...I thought about trying some stretching with my exercise ball too to see if I can work it out a little...

what is the deal with that lil problem? I mean sheesh! and its not like EVERY single guy that walked by didnt look right at me...(not really but thats how I felt) like maybe I had a clown hat on or something...

I did get tickled in my class...they guy teaching is very"sweet", a good teacher but sweet nonetheless...and it was very hard to throw a good punch with him dancing around on the stage...he did have some move tho now that I think about it. to bad he doestn go my way - he's a trip! would probly be the very bestest friend a girl could ever have.

I hate most low-cal things. I'm sorry..that sounds awful negative!! I love my skim milk though! I tried the Hostess 100 cal. snack cakes but they are dry. I do like the Nabisco 100 pack snacks/cookies. They aren't bad but don't fill you up. I have WW yogurt everyday but I really miss my fruit-on-the-bottem good stuff. I'm sorry...I don't have anything low-cal items I love except the snack packs. Reduced fat Chips Ahoy are pretty darn good. Goldfish crackers are another low-cal item I have for lunch. Hope that helps somewhat??

thanks. you make me blush! not long after this was taken some inexplicable force made my hips move outwards about 2 sizes. from what i understand, that force is a mix of female hormones, genetics and getting older! :rotfl:

You are one smart lady...you got it all correct! From your TR pic, you are still a cutie-patootie!:)

Bawk bawk bawk!!! (that is my virtual chicken impersonation)

Just Kidding!

I yam going to wake up with the required feine....then drink water and pray for no headaches.

I NEED to start making better choices to be healthier. I literally drink diet Pepsi all day instead of water. THEN cant figure out why I cant sleep.

YIPES, weigh day tomorrow! Great! I do NOT want to be a samer!!!!! :upsidedow

BWAK! Blawk...

So GUESS WHAT?

Hmmmm....GUESS HARD....

BINGO!

I DID IT! :cool1:

Quick flyby post to tell you we're off to Church to get Jessica's feet washed, she was asked by the choir master and didn't realise what she was letting herself in for!

Okay...this has got to be a new thing...the head of your Church is SUPER DUPER creative! This person has got to be aiming high (literally):cloud9:

crystal lite things for your water, almonds, quaker puffs (those little rice cake things - for when i need something salty like a potato chip!), those individually wrapped microwavable sweet potatoes (7 minutes and it's perfect - just add a little splenda and cinnamon!), fruit and lots of it, low sugar oatmeal (apple cinnamon is my fav), spinach (i put it on everything from salads to wraps), those pre-packaged tuna meals, that Durkee's citrus seasoning i mentioned yesterday is good on ANY light meat (chicken/fish/shrimp) and on cooked veggies. that's all i can think of right now. i'm not much of a sweets person, so chocolate and candy aren't a problem for me. but i'm sure you'll get many responses from the others in that department!

Yes, it does! I really like the 100 Cal. Fudge Stripe cookies. I haven't tried the WW yogurt. I will have to look into that. Thank you!

Those sound good!

Great suggestions! I am adding to my list. I love sweet potatoes! I will have to look into that. Oatmeal is my breakfast staple. Recently, I have been having the cinnamon roll kind. It fills me up until lunch time.

I love Mocho Cocoa's they are little thin wafers that are chocolate and coffee flavored. Puffin's peanut butter cereal is also very yummy.

I am getting nervous DH has been helping me big time around the house I am very afraid. When I questioned him he said he has been a big jerk for so many years it wouldn't kill him to lend a hand around here?? Was he struck by lightening or something I better check and see if he forgot to tell me he used the ATM card again this is too wierd!!!!!!
WOO HOO if he didn't use the ATM card!

My world has changed.

Last night the police came to our door to tell us the neighbor girl (I think she is 15) was almost snatched by a stranger - (a tall man wearing a hoodie) she grabbed a skateboard and hit him and ran! she got away...

So, of course you read the paper about the kids that are taken, but I know that the danger is more from within families (I am a survivor from a family member) and I am more of a "hovering mom" but I have tried to let them go across the street, or two doors down... by themselves, w/o me watching... every now and again I do watch.. and never at a dark time! Because if its dark she calls and we come to get her( we live at a cross street - the top of a T where the top is a main street, the bottom of the T is a cul de sac, and there are kids from school in the cul de sac... I can hear her in summer playing in their backyards...

But last night my world changed.
:grouphug: Thanks goodness. Give your daughter an extra hug from the Peeps, Sandy.

Pigget, I'm sending hugs your way too

melinda I also found the best hiding places for secret cash stash a femine propuct box no fear of anyone looking in one of them!!!!
:rotfl2: My Mom always referred to her bra as "the bank"!

I hope she's says yes!! What a wonderful gift!!

Ok..I told myself not to do it but I weighed-in tonight. I was up 3.5 pds!! I don't get it!! I only missed 2 days of walking due to weather and have eaten GREAT all week. I did go out to eat last Sat. but actually ate decently. This is very frustrating. It's a brand new scale too so I can't blame that. Let's hope for some nice things to happen overnight. Grr. I usually weigh myself first thing Fri Am's. Does anyone else notice such extreme differences when they weigh-in at diff. times??
Maybe your scale isn't calibrated the same as the one you've been using. At any rate, I think everyone will tell you their weight is higher at night.

If you like asparagus, the Steam Fresh asparagus is WONDERFUL! I cook and eat the whole little box and don't feel one bit of guilt. I also like the Honey Maid cinnamon graham 100-calorie packs. And if you get Schwan's delivery, the mini corn on the cob and mini chicken tacos are delicious and their cooked diced chicken is great for salads or just to have with veggies. You just pour out what you need and zap it in the microwave.

I am considering the Coronado anyone stayed yet?

We stayed at the Coronado last year. It was great, the kids loved the pool. The Pepper Market restaurant had huge portions,a great selection, and good food. All of the CM's were very helpful. The grounds are beautiful and you can find a hammock and just relax.

okay - heres the sample menu of mine for the past week or so....

breakfast - Quaker Womens Vanilla Cinnamon oatmeal or Thomas Hearty grains honey wheat english muffins with a smear of peanut butter

lunch - La tortilla Whole wheat, low carb/low fat tortilla with deli thin sliced chicken or turkey nd thin sliced baby swiss cheese with lettuce and a smear of ranch dressing to help with the dryness...or skip the tortilla and just eat the chicken with letuce wrapped in a slice of baby swiss...and baked lays chips and piece of fruit if this isnt enuff,or a salad with Tuna (I still cant find the spritzer dressing tho)

snacks are usually fruit, apple with pbutter, cool whip with strawberries, or a south beach pnut buter bar, or a lemon luna bar...

dinner - whatever we can scrap together at the end of the night!

I haven't ordered from Schwan's but I have been tempted to. I just might look into that. By the way, cute avatar!:cutie:
Schwan's has a number of light entrees, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet, as we've only ordered three times so far. But I have ordered the diced chicken every time because it's so convenient. I forgot to mention that I use it to make the WW white chicken chili.

Thanks for the compliment on my avatar, Belle! I had fun designing it and another DISer, JavaMom, added the bow and fixed my background color. I even made a Christmas version with a Santa hat! Oooh, I should have thought sooner about making an Easter version
