Ditto!

WOOOOHOOOOTY AMY!!!!

Just fininshed watching Deep Impact - very uplifting!!!:sad2:

No kidding...that is why I went and got a new scale. I put new batteries in mine last week and then I gained a bunch :scared1: This week it said I was down .5 but I know it was more than that. So I got me a new scale and voila! 4 pounds gone! I am hoping this one is correct. It is the weight watchers one they sell at walmart. I figure they know about weight so I trust it to be pretty accurate!

WHOOHOOTY Amy!!!

Whooo Hoooty Amy! That was a lovely 2000th post.

so i was doing some dising tonight and i thought...ya know, i really need to get the peeps' opinions on my ADRs for our may anniversary trip. so let me know what you think. also, i'd appreciate any CS recommendations from AK and MK. i've already asked this same question on the restaurant board, but i think i trust the judgment of the members of this thread more than people i don't "know". ;)

thanks, guys!

sunday: arrive and check in, have lunch at the POP food court (because i can't find a CS at MGM that catches my eye), go to MGM and have dinner at sci-fi.

monday: epcot, le cellier for lunch, downtown disney that night, eat at wolfgang puck express.

tuesday: animal kingdom during the day, then dinner at narcoosee's that night and check out the boardwalk after dinner.

wednesday: MK all day, jump on the monorail to the poly for dinner at kona cafe, then back to MK til bedtime.

thursday: leave! :sad1: it's okay, though. considering we don't have kids, i'm thinking 4 days should be sufficient. and i promised DH that we'd go to kennedy space center, so we're leaving WDW to do that and then spending the night at a bed & breakfast near there, then driving home on friday.

ok, one of you peeps posted a beautiful mother's ring once upon a time in a far away page...it was a crown or castle design.

I LOVED it and want to do one similar (only with the blessing of the ring-owner)

Whoever posted it, PLEASE post it again :flower3:

Mother's Day is fast approaching...

Your Monday is PERFECT! I loved both! Wolfgang Pucks has great sushi by the way. You are going to love it!

I dont have a good answer though. Tusker House(TS) and Flame Tree at AK is a good safe choice!

I love, love, love Tusker House at AK. I think their salmon is excellent. At the MK I don't really have any good suggestions. People seem to really like Colombia Harbour House though.

Melissa

We liked Cosmic Ray's for burgers because they had veggie burgers as well as regular, and the fixings bar was pretty extensive. DH got a wrap at Pecos Bill's that he said was one of the best things he ate at WDW.
DD and I got sandwiches at Columbia Harbor House that came on funky olive bread. It tasted like mildew. But maybe that's just us:confused3

Punkin - At AK, I love Tusker House. The roast chicken, green beans, and mashed potatoes was table service good IMO.

At MK, Columbia Harbour House is good. But I usually get the Fish and Chips. They have a veggie chili that looks decent and a salad that also looks good. I think I just like it because it always seems so quiet in there. Otherwise I've had good but typical burgers at Cosmic Ray's. They do have a good fixins bar and yummy hot cheese sauce to dip your fries in! I used to love Pecos Bill but I have not eaten there in a very long time. I think the menu has changed some so I don't really want to say if its still good or not.

You are right about MGM. Nothing there is extra special at all. Stick with Pop food court and you will probably be much happier. I'm interested in trying Sci-Fi at some point. Let us know how it was?

I usually eat the majority of my meals counter service so I feel like I'm a fast food afficionado :lmao: .

Night Peeps! :cloud9:

HAPPY SUNDAY, PEEPS!!! :sunny:

No yakkin again last night??? More basketball???

i've already asked this same question on the restaurant board, but i think i trust the judgment of the members of this thread more than people i don't "know". ;)
I know what you mean! I think all your ADRs sound perfect and exactly like what I would do. We loved Kona and would like to try Narcoossee's next time. Take time to see walk around the Grand Floridian before dark. It's amazing....just unbelievably beautiful.

As far as CS, I have to agree with my peeps. Definitely Tusker House at AK...best CS we had all week.

I also ate at CHH at the MK and it was OK (I had the tuna salad which was pretty run-of-the-mill) and very quiet upstairs before noon. I also loved the chicken wrap (HUGE..you could split it!) at Peco's Bill but the burgers looked pretty gross/dry. If you both like chicken wraps, it's good! We would have eaten at Cosmic Ray's cause there are about 4 different menus over there but we were never on that side of the park when it was time to eat.

Oh, and at MGM, we ate at the Flatbread Grill and again the chicken pita wrap was very good but chili dogs looked kinda gross. Also at MGM there is a tenderloin sandwich ($10) at Starring Rolls that counts at a CS credit but is supposed to be very good.

I also loved WPE at DTD! Everything looked so good. I think UM ate at WP Cafe which has sushi. No sushi at the WP CS.
Okay what is 2000 post worthy...I liked dising for a long time but never felt "at home" until I joined this group.Without this thread I wouldn't be as sane or as "skinny" as I am today. Thanks everyone for just being who you all are...Love ya guys!!!
:grouphug: We love you, too, Amy! Well said....Very 2000 post worthy. And I love that you're DISin while your husband is honking.

So....WOO HOOTY!!!

FIDGE.....come out, come out, where ever you are?!?

HAVE A BLESSED DAY, EVERYONE!!!
:flower3:

thanks for all the responses on my eating itinerary! sounds like the tusker house is a popular spot. i wanted to try flame tree, but i'm hearing horror stories about the birds there and i have this freakish fear of birds. i've already warned DH that i WILL embarrass him if i get attacked by a bird while at WDW and that this embarrassment will include screaming, running and possibly crying. i love all animals, even snakes. i "shew" spiders out of my house without killing them. but i HATE birds.

yes, we're definitely going to take the time to walk around the grand floridian. the three hotels i want to see while i'm there is that one, the poly (which we'll see when we eat at kona) and AKL, which i'm gonna try to stop by at some point either before or after AK. and thanks for the sushi recommendation UM, but i'm not a sushi girl. i've tried it and i don't like the texture....makes me gag. i know, i'm a freak!!! i don't think WP express has the sushi anyway.

happy sunday everybody! hope you guys have a wonderful day!!!!

Good morning everyone. We got back last night. Our 9.5-10 hr drive turned into 12 hours. It was a great week---weather was perfect -- only a little rain and mostly warm sunshine. We stayed at POP--ate breakfast there every morning. WE only ate at Sci Fi and Ohana's and then the rest was CS. I was a little worried about that--but none of us ate the same thing twice. I fell in love with Figaro Fries--very yummy--I had them just for lunch and nothing else. Here are all the places we ate--Pinnochio place (twice--dinner one day and lunch another), Sci FI, Tusker House, POP for breakfast every day (this got old and pricey), PIzza from POP (not bad), The LAND (will not eat here again), Mexico CS, Mc Donalds (nuggets for Illuminations), Earl, Ohana's. Tried the bakery in France and Norway. LIked the snow cones in Japan.

My mom called be on Tuesday to let me know she got the flowers I sent and congratulations. The flowers were yellow--siad the she would be even happeir if they were pink flowers. Called back later that day and told me that she already changed the flowers to pink.

Will let you know more about trip later.

pigget74 - what did you get at sci-fi? i was thinking of the shrimp penne pasta, but i also hear the burgers are good. we're eating there our first night at WDW in may.

I always get the BBQ chicken sandwich. My DH and DS get the burgers. We also always get a shake --I love the Cookies and Cream one.

Forgot to mention---PINK EYE went through our family this week. Started with Joshua last Saturday, Katie got in on Wed. and Craig started with it on Frid. so far Andrew and I have not gotten it. We washed hands like crazy, then hand santitized, got new towels everyday--I guess they were going to get it no matter what.

i'm 30 years old and never had pink eye until last year. i spent a week in indiana with my dad who was having open heart surgery. a few days after i got home to georgia, i got the worst case of the flu i've ever had. i think between all the stress, being in a hospital for 4 days and being around my sick brother all week, my body was like....no more!!!!!!! so as i was getting better a week later i woke up one morning with an exorbitant amount of gooey "eye boogers" in one eye and my eye was bloodshot. so i went to the doctor later that day and she was like, "yep, you've got pink eye." it was SO GROSS!!!!!!! then it went from the first eye to the other one. it was so disgusting!

by the way, my doctor told me the best thing for the irritation was to get artificial tears (not visine, but just artificial tears) and put them in the fridge. the coolness feels so good on an irritated eye.

hope your kids (i'm assuming they're your kids) are doing better!

OK, hope I'm not too late to pipe in here!

Your choices sound great. We are trying Backlot Express at MGM on our upcoming May trip, but I have heard very good things about Pop food court. We are trying Kona for the first time in May also!

:thumbsup2 on Narcoosee's! That was DH's and my special dinner on our honeymoon AND our 3rd anniversary trip. Our 5th anniversary dinner in May will be at Artist Point. We haven't been there yet. But I can't wait to go back to Narcoosee's! I think it will be one of my choices on our September trip.

CS at AK - We like Flametree, and we haven't had too much trouble with birds - no attacks, just serious begging. But if you have an issue with birds, Tusker House was pretty good too. It's been a couple of years since we ate there, and I think I need to go again because I just don't remember it that well.

CS at MK - I really like Columbia Harbor House's fish and chips and view (See my upcoming TR installment, which I swear HAS been started!), and I also liked Pinocchio's Village Haus's turkey panini and so did DH! I think we are trying the noodle station next.

pigget74 - what did you get at sci-fi? i was thinking of the shrimp penne pasta, but i also hear the burgers are good. we're eating there our first night at WDW in may.

I think I got the chicken sandwich there a long time ago, and it was good. However, I always get the cheeseburger and shake at Sci-Fi now (and we almost always go there), and it's about the only cheeseburger and shake I get on the whole trip - they're GOOD!

Punkin we ate at the Scifi last year and had a great time. I had the shrimp penne pasta, it was really good but a lot of food. I also had the cheesecake yummy!!!! Ak my family really likes Tusker House.

Woooo Hooooty, Amy!

sunday: arrive and check in, have lunch at the POP food court (because i can't find a CS at MGM that catches my eye), go to MGM and have dinner at sci-fi.

The Grilled Vegetable Sandwich at Backlot Express is very good...

monday: epcot, le cellier for lunch, downtown disney that night, eat at wolfgang puck express.

WPE used to be DD19's favorite DTD dining spot... I converted her to Earl of Sandwich this past summer :thumbsup2

tuesday: animal kingdom during the day, then dinner at narcoosee's that night and check out the boardwalk after dinner.

As previously mentioned... Tusker House is a must do... DD19 gets the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetable (which has always been excellent green beans for us); I get the Grilled Salmon with rice and seasonal vegetable; the Fried Chicken Sandwich with steak fries is also very good.

Never had problems with birds at Flame Tree... but I can see how some people would... too many doofuses feeding them (or is it doofusi). DD19 gets the ribs, I get the chicken.

Looking forward to the new TS/CS asian restaurant near Everest opening!

wednesday: MK all day, jump on the monorail to the poly for dinner at kona cafe, then back to MK til bedtime.

DD19 insists that we eat at Casey's Corner every time... but she gets the cheese fries. If you just want a hot dog, its okay.

Garden Galley Salad at CHH was pretty good as was the BBQ Pork Sandwich at Pecos Bill's (and it was huge).

thursday: leave! :sad1: it's okay, though. considering we don't have kids, i'm thinking 4 days should be sufficient. and i promised DH that we'd go to kennedy space center, so we're leaving WDW to do that and then spending the night at a bed & breakfast near there, then driving home on friday.

We did that in reverse... swung by KSC before going to WDW... be prepared for STRICT security getting in... turn on your phone/camera to prove they are real type of security.

Looking forward to the new TS/CS asian restaurant near Everest opening!

oh, when is that happening? that's the first i've heard of it. probably not before may 6th, huh?

wow....all these responses to lil ole me.....i feel so loved. :grouphug:

So in my shopping trip to Target this week I found this cute pair of capris on clearance. The tag said 14 but they seemed roomy so I bought them. Mind you that I am usually a good 18 these days. So I get them out and try them on today and WOW, they fit and they are super cute. So, since I am keeping them, I rip off the tags. Thats when I saw it.......

They are MATERNITY pants:scared1: No wonder they fit me:sad2: Now to be fair, the have a tad bit of elastic on the back section, but I didnt notice that before I bought them. I am too blinded by the $5 price tag to really look them over I guess, so I didnt notice that or the maternity label. Truthfully you cant really tell once they are on that they are maternity. The good news is that they dont have that big belly panel in them, and they have an adjustable waistband inside, so maybe these can be my weight loss pants! I can just keep tightening them until I can buy a real 14!
