When are you looking at going?
The kids have the last Friday is Sept. off school again this year so hopefully that week....Sept. 22-29.

Amy....the free dining rumor is that touring plans (the UG site) posted that they are betting on free dining from Aug. 26-Sept. 22....to begin booking mid April. (I think that's approx. correct. Here's the thread. :dance3:

I found the thread after I posted my question.I would love to go if I can figure out how to pay for the tickets. It would be me,DS9,DD8,and DD3.DH and DS11 don't want to go back.:sad2:

HMMM...the next post should be profound.....

HMMM...the next post should be profound.....
THINK HARD! :headache:

My DH hates crowds, plans, people, germs etc. He likes the beach and so do I but with the exception of a couple hours at the ocean each day, there's nothing to do there except cook, clean, do laundry and watch TV....and I don't have to spend 18 hours in the car with the kids to do those things. ;)

Disney is a vacation for me because we stay in a hotel and eat out every meal. Plenty of stuff to do every day to keep us busy! What's not to like? :confused3

Yeah, I love the beach too, but I'd have to be at a hotel. No way I want to do laudry, cook, and clean on vacation! And I don't even have any kids!

Um, I think I have about 45GB of photos on the external hard drive now! :rotfl: Well, I guess you have to take a lot of pictures if you are trying to learn enough to go pro, right? Thank goodness we got the 500GB hard drive! :rotfl:

Okay so I'm sitting here trying to decide what to have for breakfast...and that got me wondering and that got me to the computer...:surfweb:

what do ya'll eat for breakfast?
On weekdays, I eat a cup of kashi Good Friends with a 1/2 c. of 1 % milk with 1/4 c. blueberries or sometimes 1 TB dried cranberries, and 2 cups of decaf with Carnation FF SF Cocoa. On weekends, I eat Go lean crunch (it makes me toot, but on weekends, that's my family's problem) or oatmeal with raisins or dried cranberries, and decaf w/ cocoa. I eat cereal pretty much every morning because i also need fiber to start the day.

:rotfl: Do you have a real life story to go along with this? Because if you do, I soooooo want to hear it! :rotfl:

It wasn't me. I heard that Arthur Murray (who ran the dance studios) met his wife when she came in to interview to teach at one of the studios. She was so nervous, she took off her coat-like dress. She got the job, and a husband as well.:rotfl:

Have a skinny St. Patrick's Day. Eat something green-it keeps the snakes away!

i just did about 4 days worth of dishes the "old school" way because our dishwasher is broken. i haven't done that since about 1999 when we lived in an apartment that didn't have one! how many calories do you think i burned????? :lmao: i asked my DH that and he just looked at me like i was insane.

I am praying the rumor is correct too. We could get a big old suite and go together! I may go with just DD4 alone this trip. DH hates it too, dont ask me why. He normally will tolerate it on my behalf but he refuses to have fun :rotfl: Now I also have to find a way to pay for it. Anyone want a kidney? I'll make you a great deal ;)

Well...I'll be! I just tried out my new scale and I lost 4 pounds just by getting a new one! WHOOHOOTY! I have been a lean mean cleaning machine all day but I doubt I lost 4 pounds today!

:rotfl: I'd say 4000 just because I hate doing dishes!

I have finished my transferring photos project! I now have the majority of the hard drive cleared on our laptop that was full! I learned that I have just over 15GB of Disney vacation photos! Holy cow!

Well, I believe I am going to go let out the puppy (She is having a barking/whining/howling fit in the other room because I am not there! :sad2: ), ride my exercise bike, take a shower, and try to get some laundry put away. Wish me luck!

I'll check back in later!

Hey can I have one of those scales?

Mine doesnt know how to subtract - only ADD!:lmao:

Oh man, that is too funny :rotfl: . Luckily I do not wear coats ever so hopefully that would not happen to me!

What is everyone doing for St. Patrick's Day? Nothing extra special here. We are having corned beef and cabbage and potatoes and that's pretty much it. I have some school work to get done too. TIP: Do not cook the cabbage in with the corned beef (like we used to do). The fat from the corned beef will seep into the cabbage and then the cabbage won't nearly as good for you. i.e. for WW folks, it won't be 0 pts anymore :scared1:

Question for everyone about passports. They have recently changed the rules about who needs them and when. I'm going on a cruise in April and neither my mom or I have passports. We were under the impression that we do not need passports to cruise until next January. The new rule is that passports are only needed to air travel into other countries. We are not flying, we're cruising. Everytime I call or ask an employee somewhere, they tell me to ask someone else and no one (not even the cruise line) will answer what I think is a pretty simple question. So can anyone here offer their opinions? We went to get a passport today and have it expedited but they told us we can't because the trip is so close and we already have our tickets :confused3 and we'd have to drive all the way down to Miami (a real hassle for us) to get one  . So confusing.

Thanks for the help Peeps. Hope everyone is having a great St. Patrick's Day - and a skinny one! :thumbsup2

Okay I am back, real life got in the way :sad2: I had to pick up DD8 from my mom's.

I did talk to my parents about disney and we tentativlly(sp??)planned to go to WDW over Labor Day if there is Free Dining.:woohoo: My mom and I went during that time in 05 and it was NOT crowded at all.

Okay what is 2000 post worthy...I liked dising for a long time but never felt "at home" until I joined this group.Without this thread I wouldn't be as sane or as "skinny" as I am today. Thanks everyone for just being who you all are...Love ya guys!!!

Gotta Go my DH is honking, guess he's ready to go!!!Check back later....

WooooHoooty!

 Happy 2000th post Amy!

This is the link for the US state department.

It seems to me that the current requirements are only for air. Jan 2008 expands requirements to land, air and sea. Take a look at the link I think it will help.

Thanks Kim! I checked it out and re-looked at the cruise line's website. I printed out from their site what it says about not needing a passport so I have written proof just in case I'm given a hard time.

And on top that I was able to score an upgrade from an Ocean-view room to a verandah room for $22 less than what I was already paying! :woohoo: Just need to get a little more weight off by then. I'd love to be at 20 lbs lost by the cruise which is a month away and 8 lbs away. Doable but I will have to stay really focused!
