Harley - Don't beat yourself up. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. That will be tough, so here's a little love.  Sorry DH didn't workout with you. Go take Dismom or Dragonfly with you, and kick some butt! Picture DH on a punching bag, and go at it. Sorry he has menareputz disease. It is Friday, so you have a whole week to overcome that minor slipup. Remember that we love you! :grouphug:

Well I'm home from work and finally caught up. Looks like a good weight loss week around here. :thumbsup2 I got some great compliments this week. I went out walking in the neighborhood because the weather has been so nice, and a neighbor told me she couldn't remember when she had seen me this tiny. She asked me my secret. I said I had made friends with a group of ladies online (sorry fellas, but people always act funny when I say I talk to men online), and we are all in the same boat, and we encourage each other and support each other and pray for each other. She was very impressed!

I also had a colleague ask if I was planning to lose any more weight. she said I looked good where I am. My thought: In clothes, maybe. But bathing suit season calls for a few pounds more. So anyway, I give you all credit for helping me. You were just what I needed, right when I needed it.:flower3:
I just realized I am a "DIS Veteran"! :cool1:
When did that happen?!? :confused3

Guess I quietly hit 500 posts without noticing.
Well, WOOHOOTY for me!!!

Wooo Hooooty!

Stacey, I like the turnaround in attitude. I bow down to you, queenie!

L

My mom took a half day and we went to the mall today. We are both in need of some clothes and the fact that we are losing makes it even more so. Huge motivator! I tried on lots of things for work, weekend, and for our upcoming cruise and a lot of things fit me that would not have fit me a few weeks ago. So exciting. I actually bought the cutest button up shirt dress from Ann Taylor. I could wear it to work and dress it up or dress it down on the weekend.

Cute dress! I had a long story to go with it, but suffice it to say, don't mistake it for a coat when you come into a warm room.

I lost about 25 pounds before my Aug '05 wedding. We went to WDW for our honeymoon when they offered the free dining, and I came home about 5 pounds heavier then when I left. But I didn't make any good choices at all. We brought snacks down with us (Doritos, candy, etc.), and we snacked on those during our down time. Because of the free dining, I ate way more than I normally would have. I always chose the richest, most fattening thing on the menu because they always tasted the best. And I never turned down dessert. So I would think that if you can make good choices, with the exercise you'll be getting you should be able to limit it to less than the 5 pounds that I gained.

well, that makes me feel a little bit better. i'm definitely going to be taking in more than 1,500 calories a day (which is my limit right now), but i don't plan on completely stuffing myself, either. and it was your honeymoon....you're EXPECTED to indulge! ;)

Thanks for the wake up call Punkin! (even though I know you had no clue you were doing that when you posted it!)

sure....anytime! :thumbsup2 the best kind of encouragement is the kind you don't even realize you're giving!!!

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

Not much talking here last night! Everybody watching the basketball tournament?? Heh. :rotfl2:

DH and I finally talked about a Disney trip this year! Every time the kids ask if we can go back, I tell them to talk to Dad....he's the only hold-out. So last night he asked me if I had already booked the trip. I told him "no" and that's the truth. (But we're only 10 days out on our 180 day window!) Anyway he hates Disney but said to book it if that's what we all want to do. He'll go! YAY! :cool1: But it really all hinges on free dining. If there's no free dining....we won't go. We can't afford to feed the crew at Disney otherwise.

DD13 has to be at a dance competition in 45 minutes. Plus....Gotta go to work today and make those quiches.

Okay so I'm sitting here trying to decide what to have for breakfast...and that got me wondering and that got me to the computer...:surfweb:

what do ya'll eat for breakfast?

glad to hear armpitfartvomitboy is back to himself

good luck at dance and with those quiches lexy!
Thank you!

I eat low-sugar instant oatmeal made with light vanilla soy milk. I add 2 T flax seed to the mix. But I didn't eat it yesterday because....well....what happened the night before.

Anyway, loads of vitamins, protein, fiber, and only around 230 calories.

If I'm not really hungry, I grab a nutragrain bar to go and eat it at work when I get hungry. Alternately I mix a "good" cereal like honey bunches of oats with a half cup of extra-fiber cereal and I'm full all morning.

I usually have Cereal or a Kashi Bar and a container of yogurt. Breakfast isn't my thing. Before joining the peeps, I didn't even eat breakfast!
