But it was LIGHT beer... and while, I would not normally advocate the light beer and cigarettes diet, it HAS been a good weigh-in for me :rotfl2:

it's my kids birthdays this week so i will be pretty busy, today was DD 6 and weds is ds 10 and sat is ds 8 .

I love WDW and we go several times a year. I have been 5 times in the last 7 months and I am always looking for a reason to go home to the world.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Welcome!! If someone hasn't already PM'd you...we are meeting at WDW in September (average days are about 9/21-9/30) for an official meet!! Most people are staying at POP...I am at ASMusic along with Sparkie and Dance2874 but we hope to change that!! We have drinks at PI planned for 9/22, dinner at Ohanas planned for 9/23, a Wishes (?) cruise for 9/24 and possibly lunch at GFC on 9/25. There might be some more ideas floating around too! I am only there 9/21-9/25 so that's all I know! ;) We'd love to have another!!!!! :wizard:

I'm soooo glad there's a separate Meet thread (DIS MEETS) because not everyone is able to go in Sept or Jan. and we dont want to be so excited we make others sad or mad! I would feel left out if I couldn't go. I dont want that for anyone!!! :hug:

I have been doing south beach again and until I lose more weight I am keeping myself on stage 1. Whenever I add in bread or eat pasta its bad.
I walk during the week plus do denise austin. I have her DVDs and I love them. I also get that fitness tv and sometimes do stuff off of that.

I need to lose around 50 pounds. I want to do this for me so I can be healthier and happier.

I love WDW and we go several times a year. I have been 5 times in the last 7 months and I am always looking for a reason to go home to the world.

Welcome! I am shooting for 50 pounds by the sept meet. I am 35 pounds away. And I have to say I was not really losing much without this thread. It is very supportive, VERY addicitive and keeps me accountable :) I would not advise reading the entire thread...at least not all at once!

Can anyone tell her what page the bios started on? I cant remember, but around page 250 or 300 I think? Maybe not...anyways that is a good place to start.

That is why I subscribed to the Meet thread. Since I can't go, I am having fun watching all of you plan. It is like I get to be a part of the fun. :thumbsup2

Didn't exercise yesterday, feeling really carppy. :sick: I thought it was strep yesterday, but DH looked in my throat and said it was just a lot of drainage. I thought all the rain would have made me better, but it made me worse. Hoping to feel better soon. I did take the dogs for a walk after bus time this morning. That counts doesn't it? ;)

I also have 2 sons, 3 and 8. How cool is that? Also, my weight-loss plan includes lots of walking, water, sit-ups on balance ball, and Denise Austin. That makes us two things in common. :thumbsup2

I bet you were happy that you're looking so good. Let him eat his heart out. When my daughter switched schools in 6th grade, one of the dads was a boy I had liked in jr. high (there weren't many boys I didn't like in jr. high;) ) He had grown taller, and i had grown :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Well, I was pleased that I have just lost 35 lbs, but he had seen me when I was smaller. (Granted that was a LONG time ago!) But he had seen me at this size too, so whatever. One thing that was weird...he seemed shorter! I am not any taller than I was then, and I could have sworn he was taller than he looked the other day, but maybe that's just the way he was standing. I WAS having a good hair day though! :thumbsup2 :laughing:

This chance meeting inspired me to read my diary from high school! :rotfl: (I knew it was filled with stuff about this guy, and following the weirdness of the meeting, I wanted to refresh my memory.) This is funny reading ladies! :lmao: Oh my! I am not done catching up, but if I find anything particularly funny and not too embarassing, I will share a snippet. And I will have to post a picture of me from high school to go along with it!

Okay, ladies... since you asked.

Cast of characters:
Dene'... weight losing fool looking to have some of the fun she's been missing
Jay... hunky-trainer dude who inspires Dene' to go to the gym by his mere presence
Stacy... female friend from the Y that is also one of "Jay's girls"... we get results
Amy... Jay's "nothing serious" female friend (he doesn't have girlfriends... just "special friends", he's apparently a bit of a playboy)
Mike... Jay's friend who really doesn't tell very interesting stories

Friday night, Stacy and Dene' meet up with Jay and Amy at his apartment. Jay's been hitting the Chardonay ('cuz he ran out of beer) and Dene' drinks a glass and a half. Dene' meets Amy for the first time (after hearing about her periodically as in "Amy and I did this or went there"). Unfortunately, Amy is very nice and Dene' can't help liking her. Amy does however, have a couple of strikes against her in Jay's eyes. First, she has an 8-year-old son. Second, he's 5'8" and she's 6'.

On the way out to some peoples' house (where Jay's brother, sister-in-law, and some other folks are), Stacy buys some beer. Dene' drinks one. Dene' also manages to drop her little handbag and dump out her makeup in Jay's very nice car. The only food Dene' would eat at this house was a few grapes and 4 small cubes of cheddar cheese... she wasn't touching the cake, dip, etc. No alcohol was served, so Dene' did not consume any.

After a couple of hours of polite conversation, Dene', Stacy, Jay, and Amy return to Jay's apartment. Amy must leave to get her son from the babysitter's... he's been calling and calling and calling and wants to be picked up. Stacy and Dene' stay to watch a movie on Jay's gigantic tv. More beers are consumed. During the course of the movie, Dene' learns a bit more about Jay including a particularly surprising side job that Dene' is not at liberty to discuss because its not about Dene'. Dene' and Stacy also see several photographs of Jay going as far back as his bodybuilding competition days. Jay, who gets very relaxed and playful when he consumes alcohol, also shows Dene' and Stacy some pictures on his cell phone that were totally unexpected and would be censored if Dene' described them... :rolleyes1 Dene' consumes more beer.

Midnight rolls around and Stacy leaves. Dene' needs to leave, but Dene' has consumed too many beers. Jay gives Dene' a pillow and a blanket so she can lay on the couch to "recover" and leave when she feels it is okay or just crash until morning. Jay then goes into his room, shuts the door, and goes to sleep. Dene' sleeps until about 2:15... wakes up, and she is still not going to drive. Family history with drunk driving fatalities and fear of headlines of "Biology Teacher gets DWI" keep her on the couch. 3:15 Dene''s phone rings... her daughter wants to know where she is and is totally surprised at the answer.

Dene' feels okay to drive, so she folds up the blanket and gets her little handbag... but her car key is missing. Oh, crap! It fell out when she dropped her handbag in Jay's very nice car. Double crap! Dene' might have to wake up Jay to get his car keys so she can get hers! Wait... is that? YESSSS, Jay's keys are on the kitchen counter! Dene' goes out to Jay's very nice car and carefully unlocks it, so as not to set off any alarms. Dene''s key (which is only a single key so it would fit better in her bag) is wedged between the seat and the floorboard at the door. Eventually, Dene' is able to work it out using the keys to Jay's very nice car.

Dene' goes home... and talks to her daughter for an hour telling her "most" of what happened and laughing hysterically. Dene' goes to bed, sleeps 3 hours, and wakes up at 7:30 am feeling strangely great. She proceeds to go to Yoga and later meets Jay and Stacy for a workout at the Y... oddly, neither of them feels great. Dene' does learn that she is "funny" and not at all stuffy as some people had feared she might be... she will be asked to return for future festivities.

Saturday night, Dene' takes her daughter to "The Reaping"... it is okay, but a bit slow so Dene' doses off.

Sunday, Dene' meets Stacy and Jay to workout at the Y. She learns that Jay and Amy had also seen "The Reaping" the previous night, but at an earlier showing. Jay would have preferred to see "Disturbia", but Amy picked the movie they saw. Dene' has already made plans to go to "Disturbia" with her daughter Sunday night. Dene' invites Stacy and tells Jay to come if he gets bored. Stacy decides not to go. Dene', her daughter, and her niece enjoy the movie MUCH more than "The Reaping". To rub it in, Dene' sends Jay a text message saying how much better "Disturbia" was... and she receives a response inviting her over to Jay's apartment because Stacy and Mike are there. Dene' drops off daughter and proceeds to Jay's apartment. Mike tells antecdotes about his stepmother's strange family and Dene' consumes a mere two beers. Stacy and Dene' leave and Mike remains to play X-box.

Dene' does not feel quite so great Monday morning until about lunch. Sunday night, Dene' had succumbed to peer pressure and had actually smoked a couple of cigarettes (not something Dene' normally does). Her heart pounded from 3 am until 7 am and she was light-headed all morning. Jay, Stacy, and Dene' agreed that Dene' should no longer succumb to the peer pressure of smoking cigarettes.

OK, first of all, you go girl! :thumbsup2 Well, icky on the cigarettes (I used to do that too.), but sounds like you had a lot of fun besides that! You deserve it! :cheer2: And between reading your story and reading my diary, I am really being transported back to another time! :laughing:

I'll take the exercise challenge. I know I should do 100 but after my recent overdo with my foot- I'll start with 25 and work my way up- I'd hate to "bust a gut":rotfl: 25 should be enough considering the last time I tried a situp or a crunch whatever they are called now I could only do 10- Where do stomach muscles go after childbirth? I think mine are still on maternity leave and the baby is 11 years old.

Diet efforts are still fair. Doing better at work though. Skipping the cheeseburgers and even the subway at 2am (our subway girl has a heavy hand with the toppings and condiments so best to avoid) I have been taking can soup- vegetable type or cereal with skim milk.

Ok- today is the big challenge: I have to take the girls to dance and it is usually an eat out night with fast food in the car. I'm at the studio from 5:30 to 8:30 with a 40 min drive to and from- So dinner from town is the norm- I will need all the PeeP power available to say no to Sonic, Zaxby's, Milos, McAlisters, KFC- well you get the point.
My plan is to pack a lunch with my new found favorite - the flat out wrap!And of course :love: my water:thumbsup2

So someone spank my hand when I reach for that French Fry! Oh, and speaking of spanking- if I had a hunky trainer dude I wouldnt mind a little motivation ;) (hope that wasnt out of line- JK you know!)

DENE I missed your story - thanks Lynda for quoting that - quite the socialite arent ya!! Thank you for sleeping on Jay's sofa... of course I'm thinking that may become a habit!! LOL (ok, j.k!!) Still - stay away missy from those nasty cancer sticks!! Remember you are a role model!!

I really should pay attention here, but the teacher has a student teacher, and there is nothing for me to do - there are only 7 kids in this class!! (LD class)

B: 1 cup Fiber One cereal, yogurt smoothie (180)
S: 2% string cheese (70)
S: 2 Tbsp Buttered Up almonds (80)
L: Boca corn dog (140) light Activia yogurt (70) 2 pieces dark chocolate (about 80)
S: 1 piece dark chocolate (40) (AF is here – can you tell with all the chocolate?)
S: SBD oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (100) sharp cheddar cheese stick (90)
D: grilled pork chop & grilled red pepper and zucchini (about 365)
S: 1 Tbsp reduced fat peanut butter (90) & whole grain waffle w/1 Tbsp sf jelly (75)

TOTAL: 1380 calories (yeah, it's a little low for me) & about 120 oz. of water

I also did about 15 minutes on the exercise ball. I wasn't feeling too well. (Stupid AF!) And this was all I felt up to doing. Our 3-week break from puppy class is over, and tonight, I will be taking Jasper through the course if I feel up to it, so that should count for most of my 30 min. minimum, but I will try to add something else to that when we get home.
