DEAL....but I'm slipping your DD some $$ so there!

I'll take you up on the exercise though! I need to get my fat bum to the gym!
Misty???? I nominate you too!

Ive sorta fallin off the wagon actuall not completly my foot got stuck in the ropes and im being dragged. I just hit that plateau of losing 12 pounds and nothing more seems to be coming off!!!

any suggestion from anyone else too!!!

 That sucks. My DH's mother is that way. Makes me so mad sometimes. I say bring the cake! Make it a big one so good that nobody will want her stinky desserts ;)

HA!! I thought of that!! I have a $20 credit at the grocery store so I could pick up a nice icecream cake with that. I just had a nice complain fest with my matron and am feeling a little better. After the wedding though I really have to draw the line! :thumbsup2

I am Jen. I am bad with real names too!

Yes, how much do we owe you????

I am most certainly kicking it up a notch too. Want to be skinny so I can eat my way through Disney and not feel as bad ;) Just kidding!!

ok so you owe me.... 20 jumping jacks, 30 lunges, 50 crunches, and 2000 steps, everyday until we meet in Disney!

I hate my future sisiter in-law. More snide comments from her just now on the phone. She says them so sweetly, but in a condescending tone, that I don't think I could ever call her out on them. I hate her. It's Ray's b-day on the wedding day so I thought we could do an icecream cake at the rehearsal. I mentioned this to his parents and they must have told her. She called b/c apparently she is making desserts for the rehearsal. Said she could make a cake too. I said no, Ray only likes lemon cake and we don't need one two days in a row (the wedding cake is lemon) She got all *itchy and said that maybe Ray needs to make that decision. Um hello?? This was coming from him!! She said that she thought only she was doing desserts. I am just adding a small cake for him!! Geez!! She makes me cry I hate her so much. :sad1: It;s hard to get her tone across on here but it's not nice. After Friday the gloves will come off!!! I am going to bring an icecream cake just to spite now. MWHAHAHA!

Is your future S-I-L my M-I-L? I know the tone exactly. The words are acceptable, the condescending tone is what makes the comments so bad! But if you tell anyone she said "so and so" it's like so what's the big deal! Try to do what I do (I'll be married for 23 years on 4/28) I try to remember that DH is stuck with them but that we chose each other! It's very difficult sometimes, with the snide comments all of the time!

I've been thinking of you this week. I'm so excited about your wedding! I hope it is wonderful and that you have some friends that can help you get through the in-law woes! DH and I paid for our own wedding. My dress was $90.00 from the JC Penneys catelog. MIL spent about $300.00 on hers (remeber this was 23 years ago) All I heard about from her was this dress. She went to a very exclusive shop to get it, and she dragged me along. Well the lady who owned the boutique told her she had to get shoes from an expensive store died to match, and she had to have a long strand of pearls to wear with the dress. So of course she had all that, which is fine, but I just got so sick of hearing about it! I had my $90 dress, $10.00 white sandals from Payless and 75 cent fake pearl earrings from Claire's! Well a couple of my bridesmaids that I went to college with didn't meet MIL until the rehearsal dinner and they had to hear about the dress etc. all that night from MIL! The morning of the wedding my MIL gets out of the car at church and my friend says to me how did she get them to paint the church to match her dress? Her dress did match the exterior of the church! I laughed so hard. That comment relieved a lot of tension for me and is such a great and funny memory!

Remember the day belongs to you :bride: and your soon to be DH:groom: . Do not let their pettiness get to you! Deep breaths and smile. You're getting married and it's going to be a wonderful day:hug:

If I knew the whole country was voting for me as a joke, I would quit myself.

my feelings exactly! i think it will probably phil or (hopefully) haley tonight. i'm not even getting my hopes up for sanjaya. if he beats out jordin, blake, lakisha, melinda or chris to be in the top five, i think i'm definitely going to stop watching the show!

just wanted to update you guys and let you know that my day went as well as can be expected. i didn't get upset at all. kimsey (the deputy) did really well on the stand and didn't get upset, which is probably why i didn't either! they played the security camera videos and it was really eery watching what happened with the shooting and knowing i was three floors above all this in the courthouse when it was going on. anyway, it's gonna be a long week - they think we'll go at least until next wednesday with this trial. i'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO gonna deserve my vacation when it gets here!!!!

thanks again for everyone who was thinking about me. i appreciate it! :goodvibes

and look what was going on in my little town today while i was i court: http://www.accessnorthga.com/news/hall/newfullstory.asp?ID=113321
we've had a courthouse shooting and a bomb scare within 8 months of each other.......that's not supposed to happen in my town!!!! it's really sad. :sad2:

oh, did anyone else hear that johnny cash's house in hendersonville burned down yesterday? i know we have talked about him and his house before on this thread. so sad! :guilty:

Try changing up your workout if you are working out. That's what I'm trying to see if I can get things moving again. I'll let ya know if it works on Friday. ;)

bumpin it up:grouphug:

I am guessing I will need at XL T-shirt. It's hard to know, but at least it will just be big. I can always try to shrink it in the washer/dryer later. :rotfl: Thanks so much for doing all this Aries! :goodvibes

This brings back memories from my wedding! My problem was my mil who decided she should be in charge of everything.............drove me nutts! But now almost 15 yrs later I can honestly say I love her. She still can rub me the wrong way, but I've learned to laugh about it. If I didn't I'd cry, and this is the woman who also lives in my basement!!!! I say bring the icecream cake!

AFter you said you wear a mask that you speak into I've been trying to picture it all day long. What does it look like?

Ok, I'm going to mommy brag for a second! My dd Bailie was in her school musical today! She played fairy godmother and had a huge solo! She did so awesome! I was a very proud mom:yay:

this link is the only picture i could find of a voice writer with the mask actually on, but it looks like a really old picture...just the quality of it.

by the way, tell your DD congrats! i'm glad she made a good fairy godmother!!! ;)

I know what you mean about strange crushes. Right now mine is on Ami James from Miami Ink. He isn't my "type" but there is something about him I just think is really cute. I feel your frustration about parents not coming to meetings. I teach first grade and usually when I have an IEP conference 80%of the time the parents don't show. Which is a pain as you know because I have to prepare for that meeting and make up some lesson plans for whoever is going to cover my class. Plus, services or changes to the IEP are delayed until we can have the meeting. It is so frustrating!!:sad2: Here is a :cheer2: for your excellent report. I hope that everything goes well with it.:thumbsup2

Yes!! I am a reality show junky. Do you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County? I think I like those shows because they are an escape. That is probably why I like the Food Network so much too.

I have not seen choc/PB Skinny Cows! I WILL have to look. 360 for one bar? Whoa!

Ahhh yes Mrs. Ace of Cakes :rotfl2: Well surprise - the parent didn't show up for the IEP meeting. Sad. I don't write up the IEPs since I am a student, but I am able to sit it on meetings with the speech pathologist (my supervisor) and the rest of the staff. The classroom teacher never goes to them at this school. Not sure if its because they can't get away or what.

Love the PB/choc skinny cows as well! I also like the strawberry ones. They taste like the strawberry shortcake ice cream bars, but I have not seen them in my store in forever.

And yes I love The Real Housewives of the O.C.! I tell you who really bugged me this season - Tammy, the new one. Ugh. Whoa is me...I'm a single mom and I'm so poor. Yeah I'm feeling so sorry for you in your million dollar house. It just really bugs me because my mom was a single parent of 2 kiddos and we all did just fine without her whining about it every 5 minutes.

Stacey---Way to go----STRIKE that is. I understand exactly.
Hopefully they will appreciate all that you do.

This reminds me - did anyone see that movie Mom on Strike? I think it was on ABC Family. It had Faith Ford in it as the mom?

Aries - if I can only go to the meet at PI, do I still get a shirt? I'll be leaving Sunday before the Peep dinner most likely. If so, I'll take a large please. (name is shannon ;) ) Thanks!

Reminder - get your Q and A (not T and A) to me asap. The first Peep of the Week will be announced tomorrow! :woohoo:

The Q and A can be found on p. 728, post 10914. Send it back to me in a PM. Thanks to those of you that have sent them to me! :goodvibes

I watch that show!!! The one girl with the fake lips, who is engaged to the rich guy, irritates me. I wouldn't normally watch that kind of show but I'm hooked!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, she irritates me too! Yet, I watch it whenever it is on. :happytv:

If I knew the whole country was voting for me as a joke, I would quit myself.

So far, a decent diet day today here...another pair of pants are getting retired in my house :cheer2: They kept falling down while I was teaching dance this afternoon  I am hoping for a BIG number this week.

It is funny that you said that because that was the same thing most people were saying at lunch today. I don't think from the way that he acts that he gets it.

Congratulations on the retired pants! That is a great non-scale victory!:cheer2:

Yes! Bring the cake! Make sure your buddies really compliment the cake in front of her. :lmao:

Change things up. Add more protein, less refined carbohydrates, and change your exercise. Eat 5-6 small meals to fuel your metabolism.

Here's what bariatric patients do to break a plateau:
1) eat protein first! For example, dinner is chicken, a salad, and a baked potato. Eat the chicken first, followed by the salad, then the potato, if there's room.
2) eat slowly! Put your fork down between bites. Chew thoroughly. Take 5 bites, then sit for a few minutes, give your body time to realize that you're eating. Some people then go on to take 1 bit every minute there after until they've had enough.

Eat until you're satisfied, not full. That'll save you a few calories!

Hope that helps!

I'm sorry that the parent didn't show. It is sad because the kids are the ones that suffer. :sad2: When you graduate do you plan on working in a school setting?

I will have to look for the strawberry ones as well.

Tammy was annoying! I also thought her ex-husband was odd. I wonder if Jo will be replaced next season since she moved to L.A.?

When I read mom on strike I thought of that movie.:) Yes it was Faith Ford!

Yes, that's me at 254! My highest weight was 267!

This pic was taken in either Jan or Feb, probably 10-15 lbs ago.

Just thought I would share!

All any of those women did was whine! I still love that show! That one, "The Girls Next Door", "the Hills" and "Laguna Beach". Gee, think I miss CA a little?

DH just rolls his eyes when he sees me watching those shows.

I don't want to say I will never work in a school but it's not my first choice. I think I will do my pediatric externship at a school just because I will get out early enough for my evening classes. But the only think that really appeals to me about the schools is the schedule, weekends off, summers off, holidays off, out by 3 or 4, etc. But I much prefer the medical aspects of the field.

You just listed some of my favorite shows!
