This is the last picture taken of me before my hair loss. It was last Christmas and that's my grandson, Clayton, in the background. In my lap is the true love of my life, my Andy. That's where he always is.

This is a picture of my 3 favorite guys. Stepson Brian (31), son Bryceton (26) and stepson Neil (28). This was taken 6 months ago at Brian's wedding on Maui. Neil got married 3 years ago and is the father to our one and only grandchild.
First of all, I want a little lap dog like that!

And your son and stepsons and grandson are all cute! Fresno, huh?
You're not too far from the good stuff, though.
YOU are a cutie, even without the hair, I imagine.

Ok..here is an updated bio..

I am NEWLY 30 with a live in boyfriend ( I've been with him for 3 years) currently between jobs but hoping to start in the mortgage business next month, I have a cat Molly and a dog Chief...I do own my own townhouse, so I am pretty proud of that...I just started knitting and spinning and enjoy CURVES, tv, reading and the PEEPS!!! and of course..DISNEY! :)

I feel like a thread hog again!!!!

How do you like Curves? 30 minutes sounds like I'd like it.

Good Luck on the new job!!!!

Okay UM, I will play too.

I will be 32 on Dec 24, and I live in Raleigh-Durham, NC with my husband and a small white cat. I am a software engineer for a large southeastern bank, working primarily on small business online banking software. I grew up in western PA, lived in IL for 8 yrs, including college, and moved here in 2000 because I couldn't stand the cold anymore. Someday I will move to Orlando (and then have to sell my DVC!). I love hockey, both as an NHL spectator, and I also play recreational adult ice hockey which is where I met my husband 4 years ago.

Here is a recent pic:

I'll play.
I hate my job! Ha! I'm the overpayment coordinator for a non profit dialysis company and I am bored out of my mind. That's why I DIS so much. I had gastric bypass in February and have lost around 100 pounds. The weight loss has slowed down in the past three weeks and I'm getting worried - but if the scale keeps going the wrong way, maybe it will inspire me to actually exercise!
I live near Nashville, TN with my partner Tammy, my puppies Riley(a westie) and Amber (a schitzu) and my guinea pig Martini Angelina Francesca. My name is Amber (Tammy had little Amber before we met).
I love crafts and sewing, but I have a short attention span. I'll work on something non stop for several weeks, get bored and then move on to the next project.

Pakey - my sister is bipolar and has schizoaffective disorder - wanna set your son up with her? ;)
Just kidding.
She's also an alcoholic and although she's stable right now, it doesn't last long.

And just cuz I know Utah LOVES this picture, I'll post it.
It's not cuz I look real thin in it or anything. hehehehe.

I'll do another mini-bio:

I'm Shannon, 27 years old. Born and raised in South Florida. Currently in Graduate school for Speech Pathology and will be finished sometime next year. I live at home still with my mom and my cutie-pie dog, Phoebe - a black standard poodle. I'm single. I love to bake (mostly cookies of all kinds) and watch scary movies/documentaries. I'm addicted to purses of all shapes, sizes and colors (and prices). My trigger foods are the ones that are bad for you - fast food and chocolate mostly. I've been on the chubby side most of my life, lost weight and was actually thin in high school which last all of about 4 months until I went to college. It was then that I gained the freshman 15 - every year til I graduated. I'm a binger and compulsive over eater. I think I have a lot more issues with food that I realize. Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. Time for pics:

Me in April of this year (hair is longer now and highlights have grown out:

My Phoebe (yes those are both front paws up on the chair, off the ground):

i know i won't be around saturday to say it, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PEEPS!!!!!! and THANK YOU, UM for starting this thread! i owe ya one! actually, at this point i owe you more like 26 (the amount of pounds i've lost!)

Sooooooo, DH went to the Dr. on tuesday for his consultation for the BIG SNIP. Next month he has the proceedure done.

good for your DH! guys get so weird about that procedure. and it's outpatient and is reversible (most of the time) compared to when a woman has her tubes tied.....inpatient surgery and NOT reversible (at least not the last i heard). ray is sooooooooo doing that once we either have a kid or decide we're going to stick with the furry kind!

good luck with the face paint!

Dawn..What is happening with the reception ??? I am sending Pixie Dust your way :wizard:

thanks! we found a place.......thank goodness!!!!!! here's the website: http://www.bradfordhouseandgardens.com/bradfordhouse.htm the woman gave it to us for less than half price because of our situation. i'm so relieved!!!!! i'll have pics (of course!).

And I'm an "almost 1 year" breast cancer survivor and I love the Peeps.

AWESOME! congrats!!!!!! :goodvibes SAVE THE TATAS!!!!!

if anyone feels the need to give me one of those little reindeer guys, please don't. give it to someone who wants it. they kinda creep me out. don't know why.....i just don't enjoy looking at him opening and closing his legs at me!!! :scared:

so we're reintroducing ourselves.... i'll jump on the wagon. i'm dawn. i'm 31. i'm a court reporter. i'm married. my husband is a computer nerd (a/k/a desktop administrator). we have two furry precious beagles named sherman and eli. i love disney. i love traveling. i love music. i love reading. and i've come to love exercising. i've lost 26 pounds since march and i have 2 more to go until i reach my goal weight of 130. :woohoo:

here's a BEFORE pic (taken in january 2007). that's me in the black polka dot shirt:

here's an ALMOST AFTER pic (taken in september). that's me in the middle. kind of a fuzzy picture, but it's the only one i have of my whole body and not just from my chest, up.

ETA: why are my pics so big compared to everyone else's? i don't know how to change the size on photobucket. sorry!

Well for you peeps that have posted bio's, thanks a bunch. It does help us newbies get to know everyone better.

Shannon I love purses too. I have a bunch of Dooney & Bourkes. I hate to buy clothes and can't ever find comfortable shoes so purses became my outlet.

Kat We hope to retire to Orlando too. But I'm keeping the DVC so the kids have a place to stay when they visit. If they were to stay with us, it might cause me to have to do some hostessing work and that would be out of the question.

Dawn Melinda taught me how to size the pics in photobucket. One of these days I might catch up with technology. And your new reception location is better than your first choice--some things work out that way.

Amber If your sis is bipolar, you know what I've dealt with for a long time now. I think that's part of the reason why the breast cancer didn't phase me as much as most people; I feel I've already had a pretty difficult life and self-pity has never worked for me.

My dogs are Chinese Cresteds. I have very severe allergies and love pets so I did tons of research and decided that a hairless dog was the way to go. Andy comes from champion lines so has a hairy crest and tail while my chubby girl, Paris, is almost totally hairless. I love them to bits.

Well, I did 90 minutes on the treadmill and ate my prunes. Let's see if it helps tomorrow morning.

And I'm an "almost 1 year" breast cancer survivor and I love the Peeps.

Congrats on almost a year cancer-free! Breast Cancer awareness is a subject very near and dear to me. My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor...has had both breasts removed...different times. She is absolutely one of the strongest women I know. So, truly, congrats to you b/c I know how hard it can be on everyone in a family that has been through this disease!

I'll play.
I love crafts and sewing, but I have a short attention span. I'll work on something non stop for several weeks, get bored and then move on to the next project.
Well, aside from the sewing (something I only wish I could do), this describes me perfectly. My DH always gets annoyed w/ me b/c he says I leave half done projects all over the place.

I'm addicted to purses of all shapes, sizes and colors (and prices).
Oh, me, too! And shoes! But I guess that's typical of most women, isn't it? Oh, and jewelry...I can't forget jewelry! Actually, the jewelry habit is what's gotten me in the most trouble w/ DH! It's not expensive, but when you add up the cost of all the pieces I've bought...that definitely does get expensive:scared1: !

here's a BEFORE pic (taken in january 2007). that's me in the black polka dot shirt:

here's an ALMOST AFTER pic (taken in september). that's me in the middle. kind of a fuzzy picture, but it's the only one i have of my whole body and not just from my chest, up.

mePicture037.jpg

Wow! You look great! I wish I could say I like to work out, but I just really don't like to sweat! LOL!

Ok...so, my bio...
I'm Nikki...28...SAHM to two beautiful girls (DD1 just turned 3 and DD2 was born Aug. 29th). I have a wonderful DH who supports me in just about everything...other than that purse, shoes, jewelry addiction I mentioned above! My family truly is my world...If anyone messes w/ them, they mess w/ me! My likes are just about anything crafty...other than sewing (I just can't seem to get the hang of it), photography (thinking of starting my own biz...maybe next year when my DD2 is a little older), ebay, snow skiing (I wish I lived in the mtns. b/c I know I'd be a much smaller gal if I did from all the skiing), eating out (especially Japanese, and sushi, in particular), traveling, margaritas...I could go on and on...
DD2 is what brought me here to the Peeps! She is now 10 weeks old, and I desperately want to get off all this extra weight. I was doing WW before I got pg w/ her and had lost a good bit of weight...felt the best I had since college! Guess my DH thought so, too, b/c that's when I ended up pg! :lmao:
I pretty much ate everything I wanted when I was pg! shame, shame! So, now I am paying the price! I want it gone...so, I am back to WW!
That's me in a nutshell...
Oh, and here's a pic...this was at my sister's wedding a couple of weeks ago. Yes, she was cruel enough to get married only 6 weeks after I had my baby! I love her, but I could've killed her for this! Oh, and excuse my "Rockstar Hair"...it's not always like that!
of50295442.jpg

Actually, you can't really tell how "rockstar" it is here...but regardless it was actually a really cute style.

Good morning everyone!!!! I am down 1lb!!!! Okay so I did wish it was more than that since I have been working so hard but better to lose than to gain so I'll take it.:cool1:

GOOOOOOD MORNING!

Happy Friday!

I woke up late so no time to chat!

I enjoyed the bios muchly and will be back later to post an updated one.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

-2 lbs!! Whoo Hoo!! That brings me to 58 lbs lost total and 3 lbs from my Thanksgiving Goal -- I think I may make it!!

I've loved reading (and re-reading all of the bios).

My Bio:

My real name is Amanda and I've been a peep since mid-april. I'm 27, single, and live in northern Maryland with my beautiful "faux" schnauzer named Maggie May (she's supposed to be a pure bred mini schnauzer, but she's sort of blonde with specks of grey (sea salt and pepper??) -- not really a color I've ever seen on a schnauzer -- so I call her my little schnauzer in disguise.). I've worked at the same place for the past 5 1/2 years as an Operations Research Analyst, which is just a fancy title for "I sit on my behind all day and work on a computer." I love to read, hang out with friends, shop (especially for bargains!!), and decorate. I'm learning to enjoy exercise -- not my favorite thing to do yet, but I'm working on it. My skill set does not include the ability to use a sewing machine, glue gun, or pastry bag. I am not a domestic goddess --I can bake (actually won an award for a blueberry pound cake back when I was a teen) and cook, but choose not to do either -- just isn't fun. I also hate to clean, so much so that I have a cleaning lady that comes once a week. My friend Rach, used to call me an introverted extrovert -- I tend to be quiet and reserved, especially around new people -- but when I get to know you, watch out!! I also have a sarcastic, dry sense of humor and an eyebrow that arches on command (very useful when working in a profession that is quite male dominated).

Whew that felt like a profile for one of those online dating services (which reminds me -- if you know of a nice young man in the mid-atlantic region and want to send him my way...) :rotfl:

i'm a samer this week. gotta go or i'll be late for court. have a good friday!!! :flower3:

Samer! Perhaps I should have not had Penne Bolognese for dinner at 8:00 last night followed by a venti Eggnog Latte at Starbucks!:headache: Maybe next week someone can remind me that Thursday is veggie day!:rolleyes1

Down -1.5. I believe that puts me at my Thanksgiving goal a week ahead of time. If you hear a thump, thump, thump that's me patting myself on the back.

Samer here... Ok by me, I think i did enough this week that i should be able to see the results for real next week..
Oh by the way I really want to post a pic for the bio thing, but my pictures won't resize on photobucket...I'll keep trying though...
Have a great Friday!!

Just a quick fly by post to record a 2.2 pound loss. That puts me at my lowest ever adult weight of 177.8 (finally in the 170's!!!), and bring me to a grand total of 38.2 pounds lost since the start of the year, and an uber-grand total of 62.2 pounds lost. I am now 2.8 pounds away from my Thanksgiving goal, and 22.8 pounds away from my ultimate goal weight of 155.

It's been a super busy week for me. The company I work for is going through a random IRS audit (Pakey, you can relate to this I'm sure), so I've been busy helping our Finance folks gather the data that they need from the past four fiscal years. Fun fun. But I'll try to get a chance to post a quick bio, and possibly a picture if I can find one. I'm awefully camera shy, which I'm trying to overcome. And I can't get to Photobucket here at work, so it may have to wait until tonight.

Hope everyone has a great weigh-in!

WOW - congrats and good luck everyone!!

I'm a samer so tired of that/this number!!

Still having a few episodes of dizziness - but I'm trying to get out - computer screen is jumpy...

I try to read a bit...

fake tree - want real - every year I struggle... THIS is the year for a real tree ... maybe...

Chicken recipes - it helps to marinate breasts in stuff for at least 15 min... even if its salad dressings (balsamic, Italian, etc) serve with wild rice, or jasmine rise, or basmati rice - rice is a good carb - not high in calorie, and you dont tend to need those high calorie toppings... (I cant eat baked potataoes wo butter)

crap, dizzy byby

Ya know? I hate to be one of those women whose moods are ruled by the scale but I lost big time this week thanks to the flu diet (highly recommend it).

-3.4

It was -5.0 lost as of yesterday but I finally ate something last night when I felt better and it's sitting in my gut...which is still not too shabby!

So that evens out (kind of) last week's gain of 3.6. Ok, I only lost a week or 2 but who's counting (Aaron's chart!). Thanksgiving goals are still obtainable! Then it's the hard one: the Christmas goal....

I love all the updated bios!!!!! You girls are cuuuuute!

Wonders- are those level 7 warm honey blonde hi-lights I spy? I love the cut and the color, even if they're growing out :cutie:

Hockey- that is a gorgeous picture of you!

Nikki- WOW! love the rockstar hair! You are really a cutie!

Celery- THANKS for the picture of me squatting on the curb (again) ;) The extra ROLL between my normal rolls, is just sooooo attractive. Looks like I have two sets of :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc YOU look cute as always

SAMER

but that's okay, I had been easing upwards for a couple of weeks, so now I'm at least back to where I started. And I'm doing the right things so I'm certain I'll see some results next week.

Have a great day, everybody. ;)
