Kim: Congrats on the loss. I'm glad your DL vacation will be a bargain for you. I'm getting a little worried about what my Paris vacation is going to cost me 10 months from now. EeeeeeK!!!!!

:confused3 What's going on with the dollar ? The Euro is also super high...:wizard: I am sending you a bit of pixy dust that it takes a tumble before your trip to Paris. My In-laws have a house in the south of france near Nice and I can't believe how expensive everything is in France. A high Euro makes European travel...:scared1:

Hi! I am new to this thread but need some motivation. I hope I can offer some as well. I recently had my 4th beautiful baby in late July and am working on getting back into shape. I am focusing on being healthy. That is my main goal. I have lost 40lbs so far and would like to lose another 60. I am just trying to watch what I eat and drink alot of water. Yesterday I started walking on the treadmill. I was exercising for a while but well, I was just too tired. Now I have made a commitment to be healthy for my children and I want to stick with it. So I will be your cheerleader but I may need a few rah rah rahs once in a while too!:cheer2:
Thanks!

I get a vacation a year paid for by my company and I usually save that for the annual trip we take with our adult children, wherever that is. But if our dollar doesn't stop dropping, I'm going to have to use the free trip for DH and my Paris vacation and tell the kids they are out of luck for 2008. I'm not cancelling Paris for anything but it might be the last European trip for awhile if things don't turn around.

And how lucky for you to have in-laws in the south of France. My inlaws live about 20 minutes away so no great time going to see the relatives!!!!

Jennie Welcome to the gang. There's lots of support here.

I forgot to welcome you a few days ago--actually I quoted several people including you, but forgot to hit the final quote button and shut the computer down. I to just had a baby---she is almost 5 weeks old. Same as you I had just lost about 25 pounds from DS who just turned 2. Good luck with everything and post often.
Congrats on your new DD, too! My DD1 just turned three, and I did the same thing before I got pg w/ her...lost a good bit of weight and then BAM! got pg! I hope that doesn't become a habit! LOL!

MOMMAS A BABY QUESTION---Rebekah was never or hardly ever spitting up---this week it has been horrible. She spits up at least half of what goes in so then she is hungry earlier than usual---is this normal--from not spitting up to massive spitting up. I know I should know this but my older 2 did not much and Joshua arrived here with massive reflux--so this is kind of new to me. Thanks for any replies.
I had the same problem a few weeks ago. My DD1 only spit-up a handful of times when she was a baby, and my DD2 (9 weeks old) hadn't been until a few weeks ago. She started doing it A LOT! My dad is a family practitioner, so I asked him about it and he said that there are so many reasons that baby's can go through spit-up spells..so, it's really just a matter of eliminating different causes as you go. Turns out, for us, it was the fact that my DD had a little virus that was causing it. After about a week-and-a-half she stopped. I have no idea if that's what's causing your DD's spit-up, b/c like I said, there are so many things it could be. It could always be the reflux, in which case, if your formula feeding, you could always try switching her formula to a lactose-free or soy. HTH!

tomorrow is DH's 36th birthday. he says he doesn't want to do ANYTHING. :

Oh, I'm sure he wants to do SOMETHING! :rolleyes1 ;)

Can I jump in on this thread too?

I've got a little over a year before our next trip, and I want to do some serious damage to my excess pudge in that time. Heck, if I do enough, I might even consider going with DH and kiddos to the water parks....:scared1:

Welcome...from one newbie to another! And good luck on the wt loss!

HOW do those folks on Biggest Loser DO it? -33 pounds in one week???? Goodness!
OMG! I've never watched that show! Do they REALLY lose that much in a week?!?! How is that even possible?

I received a personal invitation to this thread from Wendy. I hope it's ok if I post here. I really don't need to lose too much but a few pounds before the holidays would be nice.

Welcome! We can be newbies here together!

OH! Wait, you'll need to post a picture of yourself in a bikini! It's for your own good and we ALL had to do it. :rolleyes1 ;) :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Well, if that's a requirement I better see myself outta here ASAP! :rotfl2:

I just had my second baby, so I'm trying to get rid of the baby weight, too! Congrats on the weight you've already lost and good luck w/ the rest!

As for me, I couldn't log in earlier to post my loss (kept logging me out)...so, sorry it's a little late...but I've LOST 2.1 this week. I do weigh-ins on Mondays w/ WW, so I hope I can keep all this straight.

Hey! :)
I was at 222.2 last week, and this week I am at 217.2! That's right. I have a loss of 5 lbs!!! :woohoo: I am afraid bloat will attack me next week, and I will gain, but I'll just have to do everything in my power to prevent that. This loss puts me .2 lbs away from my pre-WDW weight. And at a total loss so far of 32.8 lbs. :thumbsup2 It also puts me PAST my Turkey Day goal! But I am waiting to see what happens next week before I decide whether or not to amend that goal. I MAY end up going for another 2 lbs!

Great loss! Congrats!

I must confess I haven't stepped on my scale in months!:scared1: And now I'm too scared to! I've had alot going on lately and just don't have it in me to worry about what I eat. But this morning at 6:30 as I was munching on a resses peanut butter cup I relized I've got to get a grip! So here I am, again. I promise some time today, I will weigh myself!

Good to see you back. I haven't had candy for breakfast this Halloween, but I can't say I've never done that. Try to put something good into your body instead (like peanut butter on oatmeal). I crave peanut butter 2 or three times a week. Lately I've been having the South Beach peanut butter bars, and they are really good.

OH! Wait, you'll need to post a picture of yourself in a bikini! It's for your own good and we ALL had to do it. :rolleyes1 ;) :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Hey watch it there funny lady. Some of us can read that smiley code.

You reminded me of big news. My Dnephew is supposed to be on Madtv starting tomorrow night. I hope it's not too raunchy!

Hi Everyone !
I am -2 ! I feel like doing the happy dance. I have been really watching everything I eat and it has finally paid off.

My husband is an exporter and sends most of his product to the USA. This high canadian dollar is not good for his business but it is amazing for those canucks traveling to the states. I think I am going to do some cross boarder shopping next weekend with my girlfriend. Just to give you am idea about how crazy the $ is...6 years ago $64 USD was equal to $100 CND. Today $100 USD is $93 CND. $1000 disneydollars used to cost me $1562.50 CND today its only $934.00 Cnd. Thats a lot of pixy dust !

This makes our Disneyland vacation (Feb/March) much more affordable.

Tinkabella (Kim) aka Lurker Mc Lurkiepants
What are your dates? I'm trying to talk DH into going for winter break, around Feb 18-22. And I hear you on the dollar. We went to BC a few years ago, and loved the exchange rate. We're thinking about England/France this summer, but golly, the $$$$!

Wooo hooo! Twenty lbs. That's like a preschooler!

Happy weekend, all!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

It's so exciting to see all the newbies here!
:welcome:

Lynda!!!
5 pounds?! Awesome! :cheer2:

Faith!?
Vacation paid for by your employer?! Where do I apply? :)

Misty?!
You lost weight on vacation? :cheer2:

Don't think we didn't see ya sneakin' in here! Hang around, WT. We need another thread hunk.

Gotta get moving as I am signed up for a volunteer opportunity today.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Since joining WISH, I've lost 2.2 lbs. Overall, I've lost 13.7 lbs since this semester started! :sulley:  :hippie:

Congrats!

Dawn---They use to allow you to do that--just like if you started in a value season and went into the holiday season you could keep the same rate. Well in 2008 that will change. If you start in value and end in holiday you pay the price for each one. I think the same is going to work for other rates as well. Hope I didn't muddy the water even more. I would just call and ask.

I also read that weekends can be priced higher than the weekdays. You just have to check the calendar. Mousesavers.com has it posted.

Just wondering if any of you who are doing WW know where I can find a good list of points for sushi. I'm going to eat it tonight! I love me some sushi, but don't want to over-do it! TIA!

Oooooh susssssssshi. Well I can't have any yet (can't have raw fish with immune system deficiencies) but I sure can't wait until I can have it again. Let me know how good it tastes, okay?

My cousin, who has lost 30 lbs in the past 3 months, eats sushi almost every day for lunch. She does stay away from the salmon but otherwise eats a pretty good amount of it. I don't know the points but it she has lost that much weight without exercising, it must not be too bad.

The best points website ever is DWLZ.com. She has the ponts to almost ecery restaurant and food on earth. It is better than the books at WW. You can basically eat about a million pieces of sushi for like 2 points!:lmao: It was one of my favorite meals on WW because it wasn't at all like dieting. Enjoy your meal!princess:

Hi Peeps...hope everyone is out enjoying their weekend. It is beautiful weather down here in Florida. Our first "cool" front came through and I finally had a day where I didn't break a sweat once...even sitting outside in the sun.

I have a random hair question (mainly for UtahMama since I know she knows hair ;), but anyone feel free to answer). I do not color my hair, but I have been consistently getting a full head of highlights. They've grown out quite a bit and I'm really "over" them and want to check out my hair "au natural" and then start fresh with something. My roots are my normal color, light-medium brown, but it gets lighter and lighter as my hair goes to the end. Is there anything, like a shampoo that will help the highlighted color to fade a little quicker. I don't think it looks bad persay but its bugging me and I'm growing my hair out which means never taking off more than an inch-ish. I've already switched from my color protecting hair products to regular moisturizing hair products. Anything else I can do?

Thanks Peeps! Off to finish watching the Ghost Hunters marathon from Halloween. I'm such a dork popcorn::
