Hey everyone...we made it home late last night!
To all the peeps from the meet- It was so nice to have met you all, even though it was brief. DD chose that exact moment to have her first meltdown of the trip, which considering we had been on the go since very early Friday was good I guess. I was so dissapointed we had to leave before dinner. (I told Aries DH on our way out, he was witness to the beginnings of it, but I dont know what he relayed back to everyone. You can see from the pic that she was starting to melt down and laying her head back in the stroller refusing to look at the camera.) She had that one and one other at MGM on Monday and both centered around her deciding she wasnt going to eat....and she had not eaten much either day causing her mood to be very tricky. She was also over tired, and had just been asleep in the stroller when we arrived at Ohana.
Otherwise she was an angel, and I was very lucky! It was HOT and she was very patient with me when I said I needed to rest or take a break out of the heat. It really got to me. And then baby on board decided it was going to lay on my sciatic nerve on Sunday night and has not moved....and my left leg is numb fom my hip to my knee
Thank god for the stroller....it doubled as a walker for me those last 2 days
I promise to share some pics when I can get my camera to cooperate.
A special thanks to Sandy for sharing her DD with us!! Amanda loved it and she LOVES Pal Mickey. She carried him the whole time and was so tickled every time he said something to her. She also is still talking about the "robot ride" (aka Carousel of Progress) and was singing the song quite a bit. Made me see it at least 3 more times before we left, but at least I like it too and it was air conditioned there
Sorry I didnt get to email you Mony! We never made it to where you could do that at Epcot!
On a much sadder note, while we were gone our kitty that was so sick (and had made some progress) took a turn for the worse. I had a feeling it was coming and had said 'goodbye' to her in my own way before leaving, but she was very bad off by monday night. DH had to take her in to have her put to sleep yesterday before we got back, there was not much else the vet could do to make her comfortable and we were sort of prolonging the inevitable. I know she is better off not in pain but I am having a hard time dealing. Even though my head is telling me it was best, my heart is telling me otherwise right now. Her 2 brothers are still here and of course missing her too. I really lost it when we pulled into the driveway last night and it hit me she would not be inside waiting for us.
In memory of my sweet Leia:
(please ignore the piles of junk behind her. She loved hanging out where I sorted the laundry
