ALL RIGHT PEEPS - what's going on in here???




Live from the POP! (thanks to dh's work - his work is picking up the tab for internet - and Im sneaking on quick!)

I met Dance and her DD - we went on a few rides, including the refurbished Haunted Mansion (so cool) They looked so spendid in their BBB hair do's -

Weather here is humid, chance of rain - crowds HIGH - esp today at MK - it was overwhelming by noon - we left so dh could work, and dd and I shopped (but of course!!)

Not sure when anyone else is coming in - but who is the 2 girlz - they decorated their door? Mickey Heads chains (from Home depot) too cute!! We have gel stickers BOO to you (they were lime green ghosts!!) DD did great, after we were in the air! We left for the airport at 4 am (she was freaking out, so it took awhile!) Then when we got thru security, she literally sat on the floor in the middle of the concourse refusing to go another step... dh took a turn to talk her down, talked her into a dramamine - she guzzled the water too fast and urped it (lots of water and one pink pill!! Bless her heart she says "well, at least it doesnt smell!! ) Getting her on the plane took prayers and dh and I circled her in our arms and pushed her forward while she was "dont make me go to Disneyworld, please I just want to go home" so pathetic!!)

Then once the seatbelt sign went off - she sat up (from laying on dh's lap) "That's it?"

So we're here!! Hope to see Spectro and Wishes tonight - we've got our Anniversary Dinner at Tony's!

Today was a down day. We took DS back to school, and everyone was feeling mopey. We had some rain, which wasn't great for moving, but it did help me sleep last night. I slept in until 8 a.m. That was SWEET!

Hey, I forgot ok!! Seriously after we departed, I we forgot to take a picture!!

Tonight met Uma and her dh, and Nora - I'm so tired... The weather looked ominous - black clouds - I saw ponchos - but it never did more than sprinkle here and there while we were out and about - really crowded - Tink did not fly tonight!! Dh is sleeping, so I made the sacrifice, jumped online to say hi (and make sure there was no muck arounD!! )

Dance looks like her siggy picture, her dd was in a Princess costume - so adorable - too cute for words!! DD and I went DTD - Busses are great - crowds are huge!!

I'm not making much sense - I really dont have any good pictures - I took pictures of DD on Big Thunder RR - I was in the first seat, she was behind!! Dh was next to dd, he thought I was nuts... actually he knows I'm nuts!!

see, time for bed I'm rambling - tomorrow is the Ohana Peep Meet - havent run into Aries yet...

Oh, and I was thinking of y'all... and so I made the WWPD sacrifice - I only ate half my steak for dinner!!

Uma and Mr Uma mentioned something about trying to get the whole gang down for breakfast - he assured me he is up around 4am (now I wasnt sure which time zone, or if he was pulling my leg!!)

I'll be sure and pass along the message!

I'm hoping to be in the bus line no later than 8:00 - yesterday we got there at 8:15 - the line was so long, we needed 2 busses and didnt get to the MK until after 9 - we'll see!! I think the plan is to call Melinda and find out what the plan is - or just run to EE thru Asia, not the boneyard way - get fp for EE than do Dinosaur or Safari, then wander about aimlessly till its time to get on a bus and get back here...

then we have to figure out how to get to the Polynesian by 5 - do you go thru EPCOT than monorail? go to MGM Studios than bus to Poly? Bus to MK then boat to Poly??

stay tuned. and i suppose i"ll have my camera - but I cant promise that i'll have any more internet service!

Hey all I come back and everyone is gone!

OK MONY hope your feeling better. Had one removed 2 years ago and can assure this the DR was not amused if you ask to have a little fat sucked out in other places while they got you asleep. Uncomfortable for a bit, but heck you have been uncomfortable now for 9 months. OK bad joke seriously though I hope all goes well and you get better soon.

Had the best call yesterday...Sandy called from the bus stop at pop how cool is that?? It was wonderufl to hear from her and wish I was there!

OK so how is everyone this fine and lovley SUnday morning??

I am looking into my hopeful April trip! Gotta keep goals in sight.

ok peeps...first, good morning!, second, I'm having some issues with a girl at school who I'm working on a presentation with. This is the same girl that was hounding me everyday about the crush, asking me if I'm ok, etc. So we've established she is a nutcase.

The presentation is for a counseling course (learning theories and strategies to counsel patients and their families). We have to pick a client that one of us has had, talk about the client, and then say what counseling techniques we used or could have used. We decided to use one of my clients from a couple semesters ago.

In talking about the client, I told her something he said to me in a session that I thought was funny and odd. He wasn't doing as well as the previous week and looked preoccupied so I asked what was wrong...he said he had some inflammation and pain, down below, in his guy area. (don't want to get DIS-censored) and that it felt like women's cramps. Ok, great. I said I hoped he felt better and moved along. My client was a Dr. so I didn't think it was too odd that he went into such detail, but I still thought it was odd...and funny. My partner absolutely loved this story and insisted on putting it in our powerpoint because it shows how comfortable he is with me. I say it's unnecessary and we can leave it at that he felt comfortable sharing a personal health problem with me. She says that I'm being immature and a child for not wanting to say the real problem and that everyone in the class is mature adults. Then she through in a "Is this about A. (the boy)?" for good measure (no, I'm not kidding). She says if we take it out (which I'm not doing, I'm just not giving a specific diagnosis) she will have nothing to talk about and I have no idea what she is talking about. She has plenty to talk about. I was literally on the phone with her for 10 minutes while she belittled me and called me immature and childish for not wanting to use the word testicle in our powerpoint. I'm sorry, but if we have to use that word to make our powerpoint acceptable and complete, then we have a much bigger problem on our hands.

Ugh, any advice? I really really don't want to discuss this in front of my class. How can I get her to back down? She doesn't even listen when I'm talking, just whines about how I need to re-consider, blah blah.

SHannon - if the medical condition could be attirbuted to mental health yes. Since it is not a condition related to the clients mental health I would leave it out.

I do however wish to know exactly how he would know what a woman's condtion feels like......hmmm??

OK this gal is a flake! YEs humor is a great tool but insensitivity not so very. It could be an uncomfortable moment for some...yes they are adults but some issues are irrelevant. AS you well know some clients will tell you everything about their body functions.

This is exactly my point! I so think we should leave it out. I will tell her again that I think it is a bad idea and then leave it at that. It is in her section of the presentation so she will sound like the loony that she is. I just don't understand why we have to give the specific diagnosis?

No you are right...speech pathologist I am. They don't have anything to do with speech. My partner is trying to make the point that he feels so comfortable with me and we have such a good client/clinician relationship, that he feels he can share these types of things with me. I think he would have told a stranger on the street if you asked him. I haven't heard back from her yet. We'll see.

It's a little late, but the Travel Channel is having a Disney day...4 episodes of Great Hotels...now Undiscovered WDW is on.

oh I don't think I ever mentioned my visit to the Dr. Or did I? Anyway, I have bronchitis, hence the reason I was feeling so crappy. I feel much better but I get tired after just a couple hours of doing something. The only thing I did today was shower, fight with my presentation partner, and go grocery shopping and I feel like I've been run over by a truck.

ETA: just talked to the girl. She is ready to send off the PP to the class and prof. I volunteered to do so so that she can't add anything naughty to it. I took all the not so appropriate things out and reworded it. If she wants to talk about them, she will have to remember to do it herself. She is definitely being short with me and I could care less. She is a moron. Did I tell you that she called me Saturday night to see if I had seen her slides that she emailed to me. I did see them, added my own and sent them back to her on Friday night. Hmmm, maybe she didn't get my email? So I call and say I sent everything back to you on Friday. Oh I didn't check my email yet. Well wouldn't that be the first thing you would do if you were expecting an email from someone? Instead of calling that person asking for the email? Seriously, am I unreasonable...this girl is crazy right?
