Thanks, Lexi, LY/MI!

And I forgot to say tht I know MOo and Celery here too!

Ok, second edit. I just posted the sentence above. Now if my boss' saw this, what would they think? I know Moo and Celery???? I think they would think I lost it!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2: That was my first thought... oh, oops, I'm relating to your edit line!! :rotfl:

Glad you stopped in - I should check how often you have!! I'm on a different laptop again!!

Eventer - maybe where you are you do get good milk - around here its profitable to pump the hormones - and I think that the majority will be fine, but for those 2 years, I invested in the "hormone' free milk... I liked the article in the paper of the people that invested in a "cow' and go and get homogenized, hormone free milk! :scared1:

Then I remember, that's probably what I had during the summers :rotfl: My dad's dad was a farmer!! and we'd get the milk that had to be shaken, or the top of cream was cut off to make butter!! :rotfl:

Wendy, add ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who don't know me, HI, I am Marita, Disney CM who never goes to DIsney. (Well, except for work in an office).
I don't post here cause I really dont need to lose weight, just have to reshuffle it to diffetent places which is NOT going to happen! (read, Heck no, I am NOT excercising)

I might magically show up at one of you meets, but I am not stalikng ( I DO know Wendy and Sandy and that spongbob lady though!and Lexi, and probably a few more)
I will be be on the Poly Beach on the 28th, so I thought I might introduce myseld first.

I haver been here from the start, since thread mama opened it, but only catch up once a week or two. Hope I dont freek you out. I am not a CRAZY lurker...

Well Hello skinny, Crazy, lurker, stalker lady!

Happy Sunday to everyone! I'm still hanging in there!

I am trying not to take a nap....so I'm activating my brain here. If I nap, I will be doomed for sleep tonight and I'm out of ALL sleep aids. If I don't sleep tonight, I'll be SO tired all day tomorrow and my poor family needs me to be semi-nice.

I did very well all day today...till just now when I was faced with taking my forgotten vitamins and calcium supliments. I HAVE to take them with something in my belly which is why I take them WITH a meal every time, except today. So I just ate a peanut butter (reduced fat, but not reduced enough) and just-fruit apricot spread and WHITE bread :scared: sandwich. It had about 400 calories!!!! That's going to hurt me later! The good news is I took my vitamins after nearly forgetting them again in my guilt-laden state!

400 calories!!!! Ok, calm down...

Pour a big ice water and go get on the treadmill and stop stinkin' thinkin!!!!

Sorry to always "blog".

that's because when we were young they didn't pump the cows full of hormones like they do now!!! i'm telling you....i see little girls all the time who look like they're 15 and they're like 10!

I've heard that's actually true!!!! These days girls are maturing much sooner thanks to mostly the cheap milk sold at Walmart and such....and eggs (mama hens are really just chicks themselves pumped full of growth hormones)

Thanks for the advice everybody!

Helena (DD) isn't heavy, or overdeveloped (at least not yet) but she's long and lean like her dad. It's disgusting! But to be on the safe side I'm going to take your excellent milk advice. I'm pretty sure that the city ordinances where I live prohibit cows in the yard, but I'll buy the hormone-free kind.

Food and exercise are not going too well this weekend. That doesn't stop me from starting over immediately! You guys are great encouragement. I still have to weigh in on Friday!

UM, it's funny you mentioned blogs...I have a blog, and I ramble just as much there!

Hi all. I just went to see my mom at the convalescent hospital and "spring" her for a couple of hours. I was going to take her to church, but the dr.'s permission didn't come through on time, so we went to a service right there at the hospital. At first it was really depressing, as so many of the residents are out of it, but then I thought, gosh, some of them will be at the real feast soon, with their heavenly bodies (no worries about calories). It was a very comforting thought to me, as I sometimes get very afraid of old age when I am at the hospital.
Afterwards I took mom to Applebee's, and I had the lime grilled tilapia (320 calories on the WW menu) and then we drove into Saratoga, a really pretty and ritzy area. We talked about how money doesn't buy happiness, and we both feel fortunate to have more than enough to meet our basic needs. Seeing my mom's positive attitude despite her troubles was very uplifting as well. The only thing was I came home hungry. I just had a yogurt and some light ginger cookies.
Hope everyone's having a beautiful and skinny weekend.

glad to hear you had a nice day with your mom. :goodvibes

Sorry to always "blog".

that's what we're here for!!! ;)

hi peepers

hi! :flower3:

today has been a HORRIBLE food day for me. this morning my mom made us all breakfast....biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon and gravy. i just had bacon, a biscuit and a small amount of eggs. then for lunch my grandfather was craving...of all things...krystal's!!! they're my guests so i'm not gonna fight him. i got 2 krystal chicks and split some fries with ray. dinner wasn't too terrible - i had a BLT with a cup of veggie soup. anyway, that breakfast and lunch was horrid. but i didn't expect to do well with company here. i'll just have to do EXCELLENT with the eating this week until we leave for savannah thursday night.

hope everyone else had a better food day than i did!

p.s. tara - i hear ya on the cost of organic food! i do buy the organic milk because it's not too outrageous. but the other stuff (fruits, meats, etc.) can add up QUICK!

Hi Gang! WHO has Thai Chicken? Is it Weight Watchers? That's the one I bought, because I couldn't find one in the Lean Cuisine line at our Walmarshay. I picked out 4 meals and the fixings to do a NICE healthy salad.

I'm all stocked with yummy, healthy, good-for-me-food!

I'm all set with Crystal Lite so I don't have to drink plain water.

My mind is in the zone!

Until I read about Punkie's breakfast this morning!!!!!!! BISQUITS AND GRAVY are my favorite! With sausage chunks AND butter....:scared:

Great!!!! ;)

sorry, UM! :guilty: hope i didn't ruin all the *good thoughts* you had going! just forget about all that nasty old greasy gravy and focus on the stuff that will make you look and feel better!!! fortunately, i hate white gravy so it wasn't even tempting. but the biscuits alone did me in.

Sounds like you did great! And 400 calories is easy to make up for throughout the rest of the week! If you're counting calories, just reduce each day by 100, and you've made up for it! You are doing great Wendy. :cheer2:

HAPPY LABOR DAY, EVERYONE! :sunny:

I have not gotten much accomplished here this weekend. You'd think I'd be more diligent....the neighborhood yard sale is next weekend.

Boy, have I got some junk! I guess I'll just drag out what I have on Friday and be ready to throw it out in the yard for some extra Disney money. I'll tell the girls to do the same. They've got more books than we have shelves and those Littlest Pet Shop critters have got to go!

WENDY....Good for you for stocking up on the good stuff at Walmarshay! I like the Lean Cuisine thai chicken but isn't it SO HARD to make up your mind when you're standing there in front of 200 different varieties of frozen dinners??? I've found a few that I like and stick to them. Lean Cuisines: Thai Chicken and Salmon with Basil. Smart Ones: mexican entress are all good. Healthy Choice: asian stir fries are good.

Did anybody read my make-your-own portion size meal advice??
? If there's something (really anything!) that you love to eat, make it and portion it out to plastic containers so you can stay in control of the calories. NEVER eat out of the pan!

UP YOUR FIBER!
Fiber One is on sale at Target this week for $2.50/box! (It's over $4/box at my grocery store!) Anyway, Fiber One is 14 grams of fiber (and only 60 calories!!!) per half cup!!! It's not the most exciting cereal all by itself so I mix it with a little Raisin Bran or Honey Bunches and it's great!

Punkin & Tara!!! I know about the organic! I don't buy much of it because it's so expensive! But gosh....the strawberries are REALLY good but only last a coupla days. I don't buy the milk but we go through at least 3 gallons a week here. Maybe I should. I don't keep soda in the house so it's really the only beverage here besides occasional juice of some kind.

Punkin....You can eat skinny all week before you go to Savannah so don't sweat it!

Aries.... :wave2: I'm gonna go ahead and send the itineraries that I have.

Danielle
....So nice you could spring your mom for the afternoon. RE: money not buying happiness, DD and I rented The Ultimate Gift last night and it was very good. Good message and produced by Fox Faith. I'm gonna have to check out their other films too.

ROLL CALL!!!

CONSPICUOUSLY MIA...

Shannon

Dene

And a few others who just haven't checked in lately.....we miss you!

HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY EVERYBODY!
:flower3:

p.s. tara - i hear ya on the cost of organic food! i do buy the organic milk because it's not too outrageous. but the other stuff (fruits, meats, etc.) can add up QUICK!

Reg. skim milk here is like $2.50/gallon and the organic is over $5! Evil SIL buys it for her kids and makes nasty faces when she hears about other kids not drinking it. Can't wait for a few more years! ;)

loat post when lost internet... :confused3

Wendy - wanna walk together???

Oh, did someone say Biscuits, and GRAVY!!!

Wow it has been a week and this is the first chance I have really had to just sit at the computer and relax. I am between loads in the washer. Last week was very tiring. Between DD trying to figure out homework and swim team (I know what is more important, but getting her to realize is another story) I have a new student at school--7th grade and his diagnosis is only ADD unmedicated. Well I have been trying to get mom in to sign his IEP since August 14th--literally left 15 messages and sent notes home stating that if she did not come in and sign then we could not serve him---she never signed the initial placement part since he is from another school. Well as we have gotten to know this young man it is very obvious that his diagnosis is a little off. He has A LOT OF AUTISTIC tendencies. It all came to a blow on Thurs. when my partner was not at work--I get a phone call from another teacher at school saying this kid was crying in the room, refusing to do work, and threatened to kill another student. I get someone to cover my room and head over to try and calm him down----he reminded me of my b/f son who is aspergers. After about 20minutes I get him calmed down--all over him being an artist and them not letting him COLOR!!! The day before he lost it in an assembly because of how many people and it being to loud. Now I call mom since he made a threat and low and behold she can be at the school in 10 minutes----she even made a comment the meds just make him more hyper---for those that do not know about ADD/ADHD meds is--if you are truely in this category the meds calm--if you are not truly in this category the meds are speed and that is why teenagers are buying and selling on the street. RED FLAG -- but I did not say anything--finally got mom to sign everything and she took him home for 2 days. THere are a lot more little things he did that were just red flags for his diagnosis. Now lets move to lunch--I am finally sitting down and I see my principal with another one of my students and the student does not appear to be happy--evidently he just decided to slap another student across the face--I am pulled into this one as well--takes about an hour to sort out and get written statements (I had to get out of him what happened and get on paper so it could be understood). Now lets move to the end of the day--get a phone call froom counselor about another student and could I please investigate what was going on---this takes the rest of my day and I was boiling with this kid by the time things were over--not going to bore you with more details on this one. Needless to say all of this happened within 5 hours--before we even left for school that morning it was bad--DD started crying at 6:30 because she did not finish homework (remember swim), it was picture day and she did not like what she was wearing (even thought she picked it out) and she could not find her swim cap or goggles for swim that afternoon. She cried from 6:30 until DH let her off at school around 7:20. So that was my Thurs. from heck.

DS is going to his first Cross Country meet this Friday--he tried out on THurs. afternoon against 39 other people on his team--only 12 girls and 12 guys can go. He came in 6th amongst all the guys---he just started running around the 15th of August and loves it--we are so proud of him.

I spent all day Saturday cleaning house (DD closet took about and hour just by itself) and getting ready for our cookout yesterday. I had been putting off some of the house stuff until the house was finished--they finished it on Friday :cool1: we close next weel :thumbsup2 We had 20 people over yesterday to cook out and we had a blast! The last person left around 6:15 and I recleaned all the rooms that had been used including mopping the floors and was finished by 7:30 and a couple came back over and we hung out until about 11 (playing cards) It was a nice way to end the weekend and today I really do not plan on getting out of my PJ's except the appraiser has to come by this afternoon. Oh yeah--DH started his busy season again on Friday--so from now until Thanksgivng I will give him a kiss bye on Friday morning and unless there is not a Saturday game will not see him until Sunday afternoon.

Only 27 days until we see REBEKAH--and most of you should be at DISNEY then.

I have written enough so I hope everyone has a great day.

I have written enough so I hope everyone has a great day.

Pigget!!!! I feel for you mostly o the mis-diagnosed kid. He's a good kid but needs the RIGHT meds, I'm sure. What a crazy story with the mom being so oblivious. My son who is now 18, was finally diagnosed at 8 with ADHD (I even took him to a specialist in Minneapolis!!!) and I remember he's get MELLOW when he'd drink Mountain Dew! If you give a non-adhd kid caffeine like that, you'd have a huge problem. He's kind of adapted and morphed into adult-add but is not medicated now and is totally "normal".

I don't know how you do it! I'm frustrated for you!

When you get together with the other teachers in the break room, is it a huge _!tch-session? :rotfl2: :flower3:

Happy Labor Day! :)

that's because when we were young they didn't pump the cows full of hormones like they do now!!! i'm telling you....i see little girls all the time who look like they're 15 and they're like 10!

Yes, sadly this is true. Even more sadly enough, my daughter is one of those. She is 11 years old and looks like she should be in high school. :sad1:

.....Afterwards I took mom to Applebee's, and I had the lime grilled tilapia (320 calories on the WW menu) and then we drove into Saratoga, a really pretty and ritzy area. We talked about how money doesn't buy happiness, and we both feel fortunate to have more than enough to meet our basic needs. Seeing my mom's positive attitude despite her troubles was very uplifting as well. The only thing was I came home hungry. I just had a yogurt and some light ginger cookies. ....

Sounds like you had a very good visit with your mom. :thumbsup2 BTW, I ALWAYS come home hungry after eating Applebee's tilapia. What's up with that!?!?

.... Sorry to always "blog". ....

OH please don't ever stop blogging! I love your posts and learn a lot from them. :goodvibes (You make me laugh a lot too, which is awesome!:thumbsup2 )

sorry, UM! :guilty: hope i didn't ruin all the *good thoughts* you had going! just forget about all that nasty old greasy gravy and focus on the stuff that will make you look and feel better!!! fortunately, i hate white gravy so it wasn't even tempting. but the biscuits alone did me in.

This TX country gal has had WAY more than her fair share of biscuits and gravy, but here in the south, we toss in SAUSAGE to boot! I used to love the stuff, which is why I have so much weight to lose now, but I can honestly say that for now, I'm in "the zone." I have no desire to even go there.

.... Did anybody read my make-your-own portion size meal advice??[/B]? If there's something (really anything!) that you love to eat, make it and portion it out to plastic containers so you can stay in control of the calories. NEVER eat out of the pan!

What a great portion control tip, lexmelinda!

Diehard Fiber One fan right here! I mix mine with a child's portion of cheerios and add some strawberries (or other fruit). I'm way good with it now. Have you tried those Fiber One snack bars? They're definitely something that should be saved as a treat, but oh my goodness.... They really curb that chocolate/sugar craving when you need something like that, and they have 9 grams of fiber!:thumbsup2

Fox Faith just made some sort of deal with our church (and others as well). Supposedly, our entire congregation will get to watch their movies for free any time we want to. I think that's cool. We can now have a few church movie nights during the year and get some use out of that huge popcorn machine we just purchased for VBS this summer.popcorn::

--------------------

I guess I won't have a weight gain or loss to share this Friday. I have switched to a Saturday morning WW meeting, so I won't know how I've done until this coming Saturday. (I had to change from a Tuesday meeting to a weekend meeting because I home school my DD.) I'll be here to cheer for and/or encourage you guys though. GO PEEPS!:cheer2:

Well, it's time to get busy. DH is vacuuming up some water that he just discovered in one of our spare rooms. Apparently, one of our windows isn't sealed well, and there's water everywhere from the rains last week. UGH!:headache:

I hope everyone has a fabulous week! REMEMBER: Think thin!:goodvibes

Punkin....You can eat skinny all week before you go to Savannah so don't sweat it!

i hope so! i think i'm gonna try the thai chicken lean cuisine i got for lunch. but tonight's a different story. anna and family are coming over to watch justin timberlake on HBO (:woohoo: he's my one guilty pleasure!!!) and she's bringing BBQ! i didn't argue because everyone else was in agreement. i'll just eat a small portion with a salad or something. the worst part about BBQ though is that it goes so well with sweet tea and that's a big no-no for me!

Reg. skim milk here is like $2.50/gallon and the organic is over $5! Evil SIL buys it for her kids and makes nasty faces when she hears about other kids not drinking it. Can't wait for a few more years! ;)

over $5??? :scared1: it's like $3.50 here. that's crazy.

Oh, did someone say Biscuits, and GRAVY!!!

sorry 'bout that! :rolleyes1

Only 27 days until we see REBEKAH--and most of you should be at DISNEY then.

wow!!!! i didn't realize it was that close. good peeplet vibes coming your way!!! :goodvibes

This TX country gal has had WAY more than her fair share of biscuits and gravy, but here in the south, we toss in SAUSAGE to boot!

i'm originally from tennessee and now live in georgia and, believe me, i know about the sausage in the gravy! i'm lucky i don't like it or i'd be in big trouble!!! my mom still can't figure out how i was raised in her house and still don't eat fried chicken, sausage gravy and pinto beans.....yuck!!! i hate any kind of beans though...feels like sand in my mouth! yeah, i know...i'm weird. :cool2:

by the way, good luck with the water problem. be sure to check for mold. not to scare you...i've just seen a lot of lawsuits over mold and it's scary stuff!

hope everyone has a great labor day!!! :flower3: if you have HBO, be sure to catch justin tonight at 9:00 eastern time.

D, it's funny how we seem to fall off at the same time!

I have done terribly this weekend. I am going to try really hard to stay on this week, but I may bow out of the official Fri weighins until October as to not drag my peeps down.

Sausage gravy... you guys are killing me. White gravy is about one of my most fav things on the planet, and adding sausage just makes it that much better. Killing me.

I am at work, voluntarily since I will get this day back some other time. Mr Kat has to work anyhow and staying home today would be bad on two fronts... one I have a ton of stuff to get done before WDW trip (< 2 weeks now!!) and two I would eat the entire house. Plus, coming in means I will go to the gym where staying home means lots of couch time.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I got it like 2 weeks ago... I love gothic tink!

Ok ladies heres why i havent been on so much, Im part of a design team now and this store has my latest creation for sale. check it out

Seriously, looks like some good stuff. I can't spend a dime till we return from wdw....so thanks ;) ! Between your super cool scrapin' stuff and the sausage gravy...I'm DOOMED I tell ya!
