i dunno but I think they make jeans to fit those mannequins, cuz they shuredo look cute when displayed!

and jeans that fit on a size 2 body, take on a whole new definition when placed on a size 14 body...

and you dont even wanna look at them for my size!! *gulp

DD found a pair of Abercrombie jeans at the Goodwill - and they quickly became her "signature" jeans... WHAT?? :rotfl2: I dont think so DD!! (mind you she is only 10!!)

But you will look snazy no matter what pants you're wearing on the back of your Harley!!

Popping in to say hi after finally catching up on some of the recent posts! Lots going on here :goodvibes

Good luck on Monday, Mony!

Lookin' good, Dene'!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandy, I'm so glad you're able to make the meet and still bummed about Uma not being able to go :sad1:

Hi, all! I spent the day at my grandmother's nursing home. She isn't doing as well as she has been. I told a friend we had a nice visit with family kind of around grandmama tho not that great of a visit with her. I came home in time to babysit for friends. Their two year old was born about 10 weeks premature and weighed under two pounds, and I can't help thinking what a miracle she is. And I get to babysit sometimes! It really is a joy!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

ps I just got an Ipod which I thought I would be kind of indifferent about, but I love, love, love it! What music do I just have to have?! I can't wait to hear all of your opinions on that!

to all the pregnant peeps, you'll get a kick out of this. last year my best friend was due on september 10th and when she hadn't had any signs of labor they decided to induce her on september 12th. well, her 6-year-old, who was VERY anxious to meet her little brother and was VERY into the whole pregnancy thing, had heard all this conversation about inducing and being induced, etc. so she asks her mom, "mommy, what's going to happen when you get to the hospital? are they just going to say, "here's melanie" or how does that work?" at first my friend was really confused about what she was asking her, but then she figured out that she had the terms mixed up. she thought "induced" was the same as "introduced"! :rotfl:

That is too cute. I love the way young minds work.

I almost forgot!!!!

I paid off my Disney trip today, also on my Disney Visa, but will pay that off as soon as it comes in since the money is in the savings account!!! Decided I could use the Reward Points!!!! YAY BABY!!!!

I used my reward points on the last 2 trips and kept telling dh, "It's free money!" I felt like it was OK to splurge because it wasn't real money. We found the cutest glowing Tinkerbell pin. It must have just come out the day I got it, because the CM in the store did not know where to find it, and CMs all over the park kept asking me where I got it. Even teenage boys stopped me to tell me how cute it was.

:sad2: I am a samer

I am very depressed tonight. I only have 1 pari of jeans that arent holey. we are riding motorcycles to knoxville in 2 weeks. its a 4 day trip and i dont ride in shorts and i wont have a place to wash my clothes. I can get by with 2 pair that i have. and tonight i had the brilliant idea to go jeans shopping. :sad2: i left the store in tears. i kid you not. an i am not a cryer. i found a style at old navy in great old big size, but i am still so disgusted with me...
The magic "traveling pants" I got this spring were Levi's with stretch/lycra in them. I got them at Macy's and they really look better than most other jeans. They say Levi's 512 on the label, but I couldn't find that on their website.

Does anyone else who's near 40 look at your hands and wonder why your hands have been replaced by you mother's??????
 Over here (as I wave a crone-ish claw in the air). I also found out that you should NEVER look down into a mirror after 40. Gravity is a beach! Oh, and don't do a modified plank nekkid. I thought I'd squeeze in a little exercise while DH was in the shower on our trip. I looked down and :scared1: .

Did I say we had a great time at DL without the kids? DH has always had to use the electric carts or wheelchairs for about the last 5 years, but 2 of the days we were in the parks, he walked! I was so proud of him. I know he struggles with his weight because mobility is such an issue. I'd bet he lost weight on this trip.

Where's Dance?

I had to quote these one more time because Dene.....you look FABULOUS!!!! And seriously...about 32 or 33! No lie! I cannot wait to hear what your students are going to say when school starts!

32 or 33? I love you!

Not that many students will notice a difference... there were only 60 some-odd at the Summer Academy, they'll be able to tell a small difference since June (toned up). And since we are a single grade campus (only 9th graders), there won't be any of my former students walking by like in a normal high school.

ps dis says hi she lost 2 lbs last week and is too lazy to come post...

:lmao:

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

HEATHER....We've learned the hermit crab lessons over and over! Geez...DD's had about 3 or 4. They're always fun....at first. I hate having to go through this again.

There you are, Danielle! Been missing you! No nekkid exercising for me. :scared:

Nancy....Sorry your grandmama's not doing well. Same with my granddaddy but we are so lucky to still have them.

Have a wonderful, not to hot, blessed Sunday!

Harley: Sweetie, this is just my off the wall sense of humor coming out, or the heat has totally gotten to me and all this water retention is squishing my senses, but if you wear a low cut shirt the right way, no one will be looking at your jeans. Especially at a ride. Maybe a little leather vest, sleevless, with a push up bra underneath. Just thought I'd share.:rolleyes1

Hi all. I've been back for a couple of days, trying to catch up with everything at home and on the Dis. I gained 1/2 lb. on this DL trip, without having lost the gain from the previous trip (3 weeks ago, I KNOW I am so spoiled).
DH and I are sitting out in the backyard. It's lovely here today, maybe 75 degrees or so.

Monica, is Monday the big day? That's my dad's birthday. Don't suppose you want to name your little girl Merline? My dad was Merlin, and yes, he was a magical daddy:wizard: .

I'm going to keep reading now. I have 18 pages to catch up on.

Her name most likely will start with an "M". But if the 3 techs were wrong on the sex, then, I'll consider it.

Yes, we have one called ODD FRIENDS and the owner is very odd. Over the years we have spent a small fortune there. At one time we had 4 crabs---lets just say make sure you let them take a swim every once in a while and make sure they have enough water.

When we left the funeral home today the car temp gage said 117. After we were drivnign for ab9ut 10 minutes it went down to 106 and that was before we add the heat index--at least the graveside portion was quick because of the heat. As I type my feet are up because they are now swollen from the heat-- I hate the feeling of it.
Went and bought B-day invites for DD and she asked to write the names--I approved of her writing only the ones we go to church with since I won't be mailing those. Well she says she forgot and wrote all their names on the envelopes----I now have to figure out how to salvage the envelopes because she did not write small or in a straight line. Anyway--this should be fun.

Have a good night everyone.

But those hand written names will add just a touch of cuteness don't you think?

You can always turn them over and address them. They will still get there.

Well I can hear the family waking up upstairs. My quiet time is over and it's time to get ready for Church. Last minute prayers to squeeze in. No really I'm the one who enjoys going. They family tags along.

My sister sent me this. I hope it's true. Seems like a real treat to see.

Two moons on August 27*

*27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for.............*

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye.

This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth.

Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am .

It will look like the earth has 2 moons.

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again
Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is just one of those old urban myths that get passed around via email. The reason I know this is because Aug 27 is our anniversary, and I got this same email two years ago about two weeks before our wedding. Same deal; Mars will be huge; last time for another 250 years; yadda yadda yadda. However, it did provide us with a great opportunity for a prank. We sent all of our bridesmaids outside to look for Mars; they were out there 1/2 hour convinced that they had found Mars before we told them that it was a hoax.

Aaron you prankster you!!

Monica I have goosebumps thinking of your today - and Monday! Blessings and peace!! Do you have excitement running thru, or fears/trepidations? I love that you will come here and share - what a friend!!

DANIELLE!!

Nancy - I still havent used my $30 of itune cards!! I love my Donny Osmond (he has show tunes that are inspiring) Barry Manilow (I'm a dork!! Love his voice - and Clay Aiken sounds just like him!! For good ole girls songs I love the JUDDS!! (Grandpa tell me 'bout the good ole days makes me tear up!!) I still havent uploaded all my showtunes - WICKED, Phantom, Mary Poppins etc etc...

my altered disney passporter, I had to alter it because i wasnt impressed with how the author made the cover.

Monica - I'm sending tons of pixie dust your way...and I'll be thinking of you and the new peeplet tomorrow! Try to share pics as soon as you can! :goodvibes

Eeyore - a little late here, but stop all that silly nonsense you keep talking about yourself. Take some of the great advice you give to all of us. You are worth it and you can do it! Look how much you've accomplished so far. I'm only 27 and I don't think I could even run a mile if you paid me.

Harley - late here too but I'm sorry you're having a yucky time with finding the perfect jeans. I have the same problem so my advice to you is once you find that perfect pair, LOAD UP! I have actually had decent luck with jeans from Old Navy which I also like because they aren't too expensive. Personally, I think that most people, regardless of their size, have issues finding that perfect pair of jeans. Although if you are already a little uncomfortable in your skin, it doesn't help matters. Hang in there...:flower3: (I like Monica's idea of wearing a low cut top...:rolleyes1 )

Aries - Cute passporter cover...such a bunch of creative peeps we have!

I can't remember if I forgot to comment on anything else. So sending  and :wizard: to those who need it.

I had a semester's work of a course in 5 days last week...probably the best class I've ever taken. No joke. But now the fun part begins. We have 3 take home tests due this week and a paper due the beginning of September. I'm almost done with test #1...that's what I did last night. Can a Saturday be anymore exciting?

So the news with the boy is that we had a nice week together. We had lunch together and Friday we, along with another classmate, went out to lunch. I noted some secret flirting too. Then Friday I'm checking my email when low and behold...he calls me! Double  He just called to talk  So we talked for about 20 minutes...then he called again later that night to tell me that our test was put up on our class website and was ready to be opened. He's supposed to be heading back home (Mass.) this week for our break so I probably won't actually see him until Monday when we start the Fall semester...we're taking a class together. But he said he'd call me. So nothing major but still a sign (to me at least) that he's still interested.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend! :cutie:

Just wanted to share my 5K fat picture!!

Fleetfeetmom.jpg

You don't look fat at all in that picture Sandy!

Reminds me, I finally have a "full body" pic to post. I also have a couple of others I liked enough to post on match/eharmony. I had a great cleavage shot... but my eyes looked kind of funny so I didn't use it... not that anybody would have been looking at my eyes in that picture... :rolleyes1

OK, so I have a LONG workout playlist on my ipod! And it has quite a variety of songs. There's a lot of Fall Out Boy on there, a couple OK GO songs (Here It Goes Agian and Get Over It), Jennifer Lopez's Let's Get Loud, Toxic and Stronger by Britney Spears, a few songs off the Chicken Little soundtrack, a couple of songs by The Killers, lots of No Doubt, some Gwen Stefani, Life is a Highway by Tom Cochrane, Just Like Heaven by The Cure (one of my faves), some All American Rejects, American Girl by Tom Petty, lots of Black Eyed Peas, Swith by Will Smith, and I know there's a lot more. I just can't think of more at the moment.

Shannon best of luck with your classes!!

That is great about your son, Sandy! Any kind of hearing impairment can totally throw their language learning off...reading, speaking, spelling...all can be affected. :cheer2: for your son!

Sounds soooo yummy. We ate at Kona's for the first time in November for an early breakfast. I got the Tonga Toast and I still salivate at any mention of it. It was sooooooo good. I hope you get all the ressies you want.

As far as how I'm feeling about the c-section, I'm a bunch a nerves and excited at the same time. Just think I can be either holding my little one tomorrow at this time, or recovering from something, anything major.

I could be uterous less, which is no biggie to me. I just don't know how that will feel recovery wise. UMA?

I know when I see the dr for the first time in the operating room I'm gonna say, "Ready to do this one is record time?" cause Mal's took over 4 hours. He was calling in anyone he could to assist.

I hope he can feel all of God's blessings with all the prayers I've said for him this pregnancy. He has no idea how hard I've prayed for him.

I have a very high tolerence to drugs. Morphine doesn't help me one bit. My first C I felt the first cut and I stopped them and they had to give me more drugs. I hate the spinal. They won't let your husband in until after you get it and that really bugs me.

I get the shakes so bad and go through all the motions of puking while your arms are strapped down on the operating table.

Yes I've finally got it all out. I guess I am a bag of nerves.

I'm sorry about your grandmother.

Preemies are such a miracle.

About the iPod, I love to have "Love in an elevator" on when I work out. It brings me right back to the Rock n Roller Coaster! I also like to hear "I want you to want me", ABBA, "I'm just a girl", Dixie Chicks, there's a bunch more, I just can't think of them!
