Hey Peeps! Really quick check in to say hi before we leave. If I can, I'll check in tomorrow night at the hotel. :)

I'M SO SORE!!!!!!!! we did a new BLT (butt, legs and tummy......not the sandwich!) class tonight and anna had us doing lunges with a bar on our backs and when we'd come up from the lunge, we had to raise our leg backwards, working our butt muscles. OUCH!!!!!!! do about 50 of those with a 30-pound bar on your back and see how you feel. tomorrow is NOT going to be pretty!

oh, and funny story. i was getting some extra bars from the weight room floor to bring into the group fitness room in the middle of class because we ran out. so i brought one in, gave it to anna and was leaving the room to go get myself one. keep in mind i'm in a hurry because we're in the middle of class. anna asks me how much the bar i brought her weighs and i'm looking back as i'm walking and telling her and not looking where i'm going and i ran RIGHT INTO THE WALL!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: everyone in class just winces for me when i do it because i'm sure it looked awful! i just turned around and pointed to the wall and said, "there's a wall there, in case you guys didn't know," and just left the room to go get my bar. my eyes watered so bad for the next few minutes. i hope my nose isn't black and blue tomorrow! :rolleyes1

...

Okay, it's mean, but that made me laugh! I hope that there is no lasting damage, though.

I am still sore from my Mon workout... have thrown myself back into hardcore gym time and my body is a bit like huh? I know it will pay off though! Nothing like you are describing, though, that sounds like something my body would currently just reject outright!

Here is my food for today:
B: SF Maple&BS Oatmeal (100) + coffee
L: WW Chicken Santa Fe (140) + salad (100) + yogurt (70)
D: Tuna melts, 1 can tuna + 100 calorie english muffins (320), Chef Boyardee mac&cheese, canned (190), 100 cal zinger (100)
Snack: SF pudding (60), 1 cup cereal + splash milk (150)
Total: 1230 Exercise: 45 min on arc trainer

Hope the weight loss fairy visits each one of us in our sleep! :wizard:

i made a boo boo at work and i feel like an idiot. we got a call from an attorney in florida whom i did a deposition for in early december. i called him back this morning and he informed me that instead of calling him mr. taylor throughout the deposition (his correct name), i called him mr. day instead. :headache: his partner's name is mr. day and i just got them mixed up. this is the first time in 5 years of doing this that anyone's ever caught a mistake in a transcript that i did!!!! i feel so stupid. so now i'm having to go back through and correct 80 pages of "mr. day", which i'm gladly doing since i should've gotten it right the first time. :sad2:

Do you have a "find/replace" function in whatever program you typed it in? Otherwise, what a PITA!:headache: Find/replace is my salvation.

I

dwheat - Thats excellent about your trip - have you decided where you are going to visit yet?
We haven't really made the plans yet, but we're thinking London and Paris. I usually plan our trips myself, but for something this big, I'm going with a travel agent.

Happy hump day everyone.:jumping1:

Thanks so much for the well wishes! I got dd a little surprise, that will hopefully keep her encouraged during the race. ;) I am going to say my good bye now, because I have soooo much to do, and really don't need to be on the computer. :) I will check in when we get back to let you know how we did. I got the :thumbsup2 from the Ortho. dr. today, so that was good.

Try not to chat too much while I'm gone. ;) Yeah, like that will happen. :lmao: :lmao: Good luck on Friday with weigh in, I'm taking a free Disney pass!

Bye everyone! You will all be there with me in spirit! :grouphug:

Sandy and Allie - Have a great trip and a great run!

Lynda have fun at Disneyland - I think you'll love it!

Have a wonderful day, January!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Sandy, Allie, Lynda.....BON VOYAGE!!! Have a wonderful time!

Nancy! Get some sleep! I know you're on Central Time. BUT. ;)

Punkin...Good work on the BLT!

Wendee....How much sodium is in all that Diet Pepsi? Just thinking about YOU!

EVERYBODY.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

this is just a test post. for some odd reason my user CP page shows that disneygalUK posted something, but when i look at the thread mine is the last post. i'm wondering if post somthing if it will show all the posts. i don't know what's going on?

ETA: so after i posted this, i can see kelly's post.....actually both of them! wierd. anyone else notice how many double posts are going up lately? there's something wierd going on at the DIS.

kelly - CSI is new over there?????? that's too crazy! i've loved that show for several years now!

I've noticed lots of time looking at threads I subcribe to and seeing there's a new post and when I go to the thread it ain't there!

Dawn I hope your nose is ok. Thanks for the visual though:rolleyes1

I noticed that too. Very strange. I hit refresh a few times and still was bonkers.

Hmmmm.

Just watched Devil Wears Prada during nap time again. Gawsh I love that!
I loved the "new diet...faint, cube of cheese" comment. SO good!

My mom gave me that movie to watch months ago and I never did, gonna go find it now I guess. Sounds funny from the comments I've been reading.

My twilight books should come today!

My son had his band concert last night. He didn't even tell me he was coming up to the front to do a special piece with a few others. The baby sat on my lap and just took it all in.

So, the Dr. put me on a hormone and said this should instantly clean\r up AF. Not yet.

Just started making a pot of broccoli soup. Yum!

I too have noticed such a great positive outlook here with everyone's weightloss goals and I think YOU ALL ROCK!

Have a marvelous skinny day!

Have a great trip LYNDA, SANDY, ALLIE!!!!

/
Kelly[/B], I don't think I said hi. I'm Pakey. Real name is Faith but my nickname in life and here on the dis is Pakey so that's fine for me. I'll be in London for a few days this fall on our way to Paris. First time there. Can't wait. I guess I won't plan on watching much TV if you have new CSI there.

Hi Faith! London and Paris are both wonderful, you'll never forget that first time visiting!

we love CSI, too! my DH called my sister "grissom" because she knows everything about everything! :rotfl:

Thats so funny about the nickname! My MIL2B actually rang me last night to see if I could help her with an episode of CSI, she had seen the first part but missed the 2nd - scarily, I knew which one she was talking about! :rotfl:

i We haven't really made the plans yet, but we're thinking London and Paris. I usually plan our trips myself, but for something this big, I'm going with a travel agent.

I dont blame you, it is such a big trip plus the travel agent may be able to recommend some places to visit that you might not have considered!

This is just a stealth posting, im at work! Ive drank half of my water so far today - I am on fire today! :rotfl:

THANKS!!! :yay:

I hope you all are having a great morning! It is so cold here and there are lots of school closures in the area because the road conditions are awful. I am glad that I am safe at home.:thumbsup2

I have been sticking to my WW and my official weigh-in was supposed to be yesterday but I am switching to Saturday meetings so Friday I will weigh myself at home for my Peep WI.

I am busy working on two of my final projects for school. I just wanted to pop in and say hey. Have a good one everybody and stay warm!

Wendy and Spongie How's the weather in SLC. I'll be changing planes there on Sunday on my way to the world and I don't want any delays. We won't even have time for a diet pepsi pit stop.
The weather is crap! But there probably won't be any delays. Other than you'll need to walk very fast past the Cinnabon stand!!! They pipe the smell in the airport...

oh, and funny story. i was getting some extra bars from the weight room floor to bring into the group fitness room in the middle of class because we ran out. so i brought one in, gave it to anna and was leaving the room to go get myself one. keep in mind i'm in a hurry because we're in the middle of class. anna asks me how much the bar i brought her weighs and i'm looking back as i'm walking and telling her and not looking where i'm going and i ran RIGHT INTO THE WALL!!!! :rolleyes1
That is something I'd do! Sorry to laugh!!!! Did you get a black eye? Poor Punkie! "There's a wall there"!!!!! :rotfl2:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAISY77!

18.gif

I quoted this since it's better than I can do. Here, have some stolen cake!
;) We're sooooo glad you're back!!!!!!

Wendee....How much sodium is in all that Diet Pepsi? Just thinking about YOU!

35 mg per can. Times 6....counter acted with a gallon of Crystal Lite. :scared1:

It is hump day...will this week ever end!!

I hope everyone is having a good day. I am still recovering from my first night back at the gym. I have got to get it back in gear before I meet with my trainer on Saturday otherwise, I might drop dead at her feet. :scared:

Have any of you watched the show "Moonlight"? I saw it on itunes and downloaded an episode to watch at the gym. It was pretty good. All my fellow vampire fans would enjoy it.

Punkin, I h ope you aren't too bruised from your run in with the wall:thumbsup2 That is something I would do.

Monica, It is a really good movie. My DMIL is very hard to please when it comes to movies and she actually bought that one when it came out on DVD.

Planned food for the day:
B: Weight Control Oatmeal, coffee (w/ splenda and half& half)
S: South Beach maple nut bar
L: Tomato soup, 100 calorie pack of Cheese nip crackers, apple
D: Vegetarian "chicken" meal Starters cooked with onion and peppers and eaten on a 90 calorie wheat wrap, small salad

Happy Birthday, Daisy_77!!

I have never seen the Devil Wears Prada... might need to rent it!

Wendy, can you give me author/title of these Twilight books? I have a credit at the used bookstore and was thinking of popping in to see if they have them...

DisneyGalUK, do you have as much trouble with water as I do?? I hate the stuff, but I choke down my 64 oz.

And I love CSI too, but only the original one, not the knock-offs. The redheaded guy on CSI:Miami gives me the creeps.

Oh, and I watched a few eps of the Brookhaven Obesity Clinic on Discovery the other night, has anyone seen any of those? I should DVR them and play them whenever I think about eating, because geebus, 500+ lb people are a good incentive to put that cookie down.

Dawn - I'm more of a "trip on the smallest pebble on the ground" kinda guy. I've skinned my knees and hands by falling more times than I can count. However I do have one "running blindly into an object" story to share. When I was a young tike, probably 5-6 years old, I was at a hardware store with my parents. We were in the parking lot, and I was excited to get to the automatic door (those things used to fascinate me when I was a kid). So I start running as fast as I can to the door. Well, my mom didn't want me to run too far ahead, so she calls out my name. I turn around to look at her, decide she's still close enough and ignore her call, turn my head back around (still in a flat out sprint), and run face first into a metal hand rail. OUCH! My poor nose has never been the same.

Kelly - Too funny about your little "Mr/Mrs" phone mix-up! Do you guys get Seinfeld reruns over there? That was the topic of one of the episodes - The High Talker. And I am loving the different spellings of words! The company I work for has a plant in Redditch, England; and I love talking to the people over there because everyone is soooo nice and have got the coolest accents!

Everyone else - :wave2:

Stephenie Meyer. Yes I spelled Stephenie right. The first book is Twilight. Or you can just ask for the Twilight series...it'll save ya some time.

I have watched that show too. They smuggle in food!!!!
I used to weigh just about 300 pounds, so I know a little of what that feels like. I really feel so bad for them. BUT, it's a good reason to put down the cookie, I AGREE.

Did anyone watch Biggest Loser last night? It is soooo good this time.
See, I'm one who thinks she can lose weight without much excercise...but these folks look tone and FIT...you can totally tell when dieters don't exercise. All flabby and week and saggy. I need to kick it up a notch!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Daisy77!

Yesterday was a good diet and fair exercise day. Ate about 1300 cals and I did 20 mins of pilates/yoga and 20 mins on the treadmill -- wanted to go longer, but my muscles were killing me from the miles I did over the weekend.

I did my "mid-week-peek" at the numbers this morning and was happy to see that I was almost to where I was before Christmas -- must have been a lot of water weight. I hope to hang on to those pounds lost and add one before Friday.

My little sister is coming for a visit... need to think of diet friendly meals to prepare for her..

I  CSI, all of them actually!

I'm a CSI fan too, but like Kat I prefer the original. Although with the writers strike, I may venture into watching the newer versions. I can only watch reruns for so long.

I'M SO SORE!!!!!!!! we did a new BLT (butt, legs and tummy......not the sandwich!) class tonight and anna had us doing lunges with a bar on our backs and when we'd come up from the lunge, we had to raise our leg backwards, working our butt muscles. OUCH!! Hope you are okay today...

My mom gave me that movie to watch months ago and I never did, gonna go find it now I guess. Sounds funny from the comments I've been reading.

Watch it, watch it! I loved that movie -- such witty cattiness!!

35 mg per can. Times 6....counter acted with a gallon of Crystal Lite. :scared1:

I am a complete diet pepsi adict myself. Better than the reg sodas I used to drink, but I have to start drinking less!! I'm thinking I might have to go cold turkey.

Happy Birthday Daisy!!!

Punkin............watch out for those sneaky walls!!:lmao:

I still haven't made it to the gym! Yesterday ds 10 was sick and is still today. Grrrr.

did you guys hear about the 50-car pileup on I-4 this morning? apparently there was some thick fog that was part of the cause. they've confirmed 3 fatalities. do we have any peeps that are there driving right now? shannon - if you're lurking, check in so we know you're okay! i don't think you live near I-4, but i'm not sure.

Do you have a "find/replace" function in whatever program you typed it in? Otherwise, what a PITA!:headache: Find/replace is my salvation.

oh, yes, of course. if i didn't have find/replace my job would take three times as long! and the good thing is that his name doesn't appear every time he speaks. because he's examining a witness, it's Q for question and A for answer. it's just when he talks to the other attorney or me or when he's marking an exhibit or something that i have to call him mr. taylor (as opposed to mr. day :lmao: ). i've got to take the corrected pages to the office this afternoon and send out a letter to him. i still feel really stupid!

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY TODAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAISY77!

18.gif

Have a wonderful day, January!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! :flower3:

Dawn I hope your nose is ok. Thanks for the visual though:rolleyes1

you're welcome. any time.

My son had his band concert last night. He didn't even tell me he was coming up to the front to do a special piece with a few others. The baby sat on my lap and just took it all in.

i bet you were a proud mama!

That is something I'd do! Sorry to laugh!!!! Did you get a black eye? Poor Punkie! "There's a wall there"!!!!! :rotfl2:

nope, not black this morning. but it is sore, along with the my butt, the sides of my stomach, my upper thighs and my calves......oh, my calves are KILLING ME!

the last time i had a black eye it was because ray broke my nose. he was taking off his shirt and his elbow hit me in the nose. try explaining that one to your parents when you're 19 years old! "i swear he didn't hit me, mom......he was just taking off his shirt and......well, um.....nevermind!!!!" and no, there was no naughtiness involved.....he was changing shirts for work. i swear.

And I love CSI too, but only the original one, not the knock-offs. The redheaded guy on CSI:Miami gives me the creeps.

Oh, and I watched a few eps of the Brookhaven Obesity Clinic on Discovery the other night, has anyone seen any of those? I should DVR them and play them whenever I think about eating, because geebus, 500+ lb people are a good incentive to put that cookie down.

i hate the red-headed guy, too! my MIL loves him and he's just creepy to me. :scared: he overacts!

and yes, i have seen the brookhaven obesity clinic show. it's definitely motivation. i feel so sorry for those people......food really can be an addiction just like drugs or alcohol.

I turn around to look at her, decide she's still close enough and ignore her call, turn my head back around (still in a flat out sprint), and run face first into a metal hand rail. OUCH! My poor nose has never been the same.

:lmao: poor little guy!!!!!

have you ever heard of dane cook, the comedian? during one of his acts he talks about how when you walk up to an automatic door it makes you feel like a jedi.......figured you'd appreciate that one! your comment about being fascinated by the automatic door just reminded me of that.

for those of you who haven't seen "the devil wears prada", go rent it now!

oh, and you know what i really hate? when your coffee filter collapses on one side and you get coffee grinds in the pot......it ruins the entire batch of coffee!!!! YUCK!

Allie and Sandy Good luck and have fun. I'll be rooting for ya :cheer2:

I have the BIGGEST headache today. It's not going away with all the caffeine and Tylenol. Sheesh! Maybe it's some funky low carb symptom? Oh, speaking of low carb...I'd give my first born (or last born, heck I'll throw in 2 cats to sweeten the pot!) for some white bread right now!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: !

Wendy - My Dh suffers from migranes sometimes and he swears this works. A coke (I know we drink Pepsi in our house too) and four Reeses peanut butter cups. I know it isn't a peepish thing to eat and drink but he does this when he was a bad headache and it goes away within an hour.

Hi all! Glad I could impress you all with being in touch with my inner woman. And to top it all off, I cook and do floors too!

:thumbsup2

ETA: so after i posted this, i can see kelly's post.....actually both of them! wierd. anyone else notice how many double posts are going up lately? there's something wierd going on at the DIS.
Yes I noticed that too

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY TODAY!

Have a wonderful day, January!

Happy Birthday Daisy77

Ok, I didn't get to get online this morning because my computer was giving me problems :badpc: Anyway, I went to WW and got weighed yesterday and you;ll have to wait until friday but I didn't lose anything I probably lost what I gained over those two weeks of not going so I'm thankful. Well right now I am on my way to a knitting get together at our church, so I will check in tonight.
