just a random wOOt wOOt.....:rolleyes1

DANG IT!!!! danielle got it without even trying!

WOOOT Danielle!! :cheer2:

Okay, I need to get my lazy butt up off this couch and do my mini-stepper and fold more laundry than 2 people should be capable of generating.

Who says I wasn't trying? ;)

Way to swoop Danielle! :worship:

Thanks for all the congrats! I was really shocked that I was able to do that, and with NO knee pain. Now tomorrow.....we'll have to wait and see. :rolleyes1 I go back to the Ortho. on Tuesday, so hopefully he'll tell me I'm good to go. Even if he doesn't, I'm goin' anyway. :rotfl2:

Hey Kat, my DD just got out of her PJ's at 5:30, took a bath, and got in another set of PJ's. It was definitely a PJ kind of day. I was only out and about 'cause DS had a two hour b'ball practice. Hence, why I had enough time to go drop a ton of money on some new shoes. :rolleyes1

Did I miss the post about the "MAGIC SHOES"?

Do you think they could help my feet with that plantar thingy? Of course if there wasnt so much of "ME" for my feet to carry that could help too. My crocs have made it some better but still after a few nights working my feet are killing me again. I couldnt even think about running-

I had to quit taking any tylenol, motrin, or asprin- my stomach felt like I had swallowed glass.

So tell me about the "magic shoes"- I am beginning to think NewBalance were invented by a doctor who needed my co-pay to furnish his new condo.

Absolutely!!! I got my new running shoes today. I got them from a store called Fleet Feet. They had me roll up my pants, to my knees, so they could see my feet, and then they had me put on a "neutral" pair of running shoes, then I ran on a treadmill for about 15 - 20 seconds. They videotaped my feet while running. Then we watched the video, and he showed me how my right foot pronated (which means it rolls to the inside when I run), and my left foot does too, but not as much. I think my left foot is trying to compensate for my right foot. Anyway, he then brought me out several shoes that provided support. Then I ran (actually was a very light jog) around the store to try them out. Then I ruled it down to three, then down to one. Of course, I picked the most expensive one! :scared1:

I would HIGHLY recommend them, and they have just opened, or will be opening a new store in Birmingham. From what I remember, that's not too far from you. It would be worth the drive, and effort. People kept telling me I should have gone in the first place, but I thought, "how can a pair of shoes help me run?" Well, let me tell you, it makes ALL the difference in the world!! He told me these shoes should last me about 8 months - a year. I have already bought 2 pairs of New Balance from Kohl's in the past 6 months! If you need any more specifics, PM me, and I will help anyway I can.

Dawn - I LOVE your pics! You were blonde! I like it, but it is so different from the way we see you now. You were a beautiful bride! You look the same (but with blonde hair), but Ray looks soooooo young (like a kid)! I sure hope that doesn't sound insulting. You both are beautiful people! Ok, maybe I better just be quiet over here. :rolleyes1

Dawn- I like you with blonde hair too. You look good no matter what you do though (GRRRRR! ;) ) I feel younger with highlights AND lowlights to blend greys best. But, I've been doing Miss Clairol (that sounds so "nice", eh?) for the last couple months because I haven't had the time or money to get my usual weave.

I love that your bridesmaids all had different patterns for their dresses using the same gorgeous fabric. That's great cuz everyone gets a flattering cut.

Allie- My feet do the opposite. They curve outward. I'll have to go to a place like that. My old, OLD Reboks are crap. And I heard CROCs are not good to wear on cement for long periods. Which is true. My feet this last trip started out fine then ached throughout my whole body.

Everyone- Just got some Carb Smart Ice Cream in Mint Chocolate Chip. But I can't eat any till tomorrow. I've exceeded my carbs for the day. What a good girl I yam! Yay me! I didn't even know there was such a thing as carb friendly ice cream. Hopefully I'll keep my mits off it for today (hey, at 12:01 it's tomrrow :sad2: )

Hey, there, Peeps!*

How is everyone's weekend going! I stayed home and read my second twilight book today.

WENDY, did you see that the girl from Twilight has the same birthday as you and I???*

Punkin...your pics are beautiful! You are really pretty as a blonde, but I think I like you better as a brunette. Maybe because I have always wanted dark hair like yours! :)

Yes! September 13th!!!!!! THAT is NO accident, fellow Virgo!!!!!

I got such a big head when i read that!

Toot? Have you been to Twilightmoms.com yet? Check out the fanfic (fan fiction) but not until you are done with Eclipse (pinkie swear promise!). I'm just having a bit of a hard time with the kid on Harry Potter "Cedric Diggory" as Edward. I guess he and the actress cast as Bella had fabulous chemistry and he REALLY nailed the role when he was casting. MY favorite is Alice  Which is weird since I'm a chick. But no weirder than being a 40 year old housewife reading a vampire romance :3dglasses

NO! I have not been there. But I will be sure to check it out...AFTER I have finished Eclipse! :teeth:

I like the idea of Cedric Diggory as Edward. But I dont' think he is as beautiful as Edward is supposed to be. He is cute, to be sure, but he is not perfect like I imagine Edward to be.

Don't you think it would be uber-icky to smooch an icy-cold man all the time?

Not if he happens to be a vampire like Edward or his brother Emmett. Hubba hubba! (do people still ever say Hubba Hubba?)

Not if he happens to be a vampire like Edward or his brother Emmett. Hubba hubba! (do people still ever say Hubba Hubba?)

Well, I say Hubba Bubba. Cause my DH's nickname is Bubba. So I call him Hubba Bubba, Bubbalicious, Bubbastiltskin, etc. :thumbsup2

Who is playing Emmett, do they know yet? He sure does sound hot in the movie! And who is playing Alice?

Dawn, love the pics. I like either hair color, really... the brunette is more striking though.

I have a date w/ Miss Clairol sometime in the very near future (L'Oreal for me, but same difference!).

In keep with the rest of the week, here is my food for today:
B: coffee
L: turkey sandwich (150), veggies and FF pringles w/ ff onion dip (150)
D: 8 oz beef liver (320) w/ onion (20), baked potato (100), broccoli (40), 100 calorie zinger (100)
S: One mini reese's cup (40), 1.5 glasses white wine (200).

Total for the day, 1120. Exercise, 30 min on the mini-stepper (and probably 2 hours of housework/laundry if that counts).

And no, I never got out of PJs, just changed into new ones after the mini-stepper/hot tub.

I was good all week! However I was simply horrible Friday and Saturday! Good news is last night DH and I decided that if we can swing it $$$ wise we will go to WDW over my kids SPring Break!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: SO I figure that gives me 10 weeks to lose 16 lbs to get me to my first big goal of 2008 (which is that the 1st # in my weight be a 1 for the first time in many, many years) A trip to see the mouse should keep me motivated. I'm anxious to see the mouse this year as a friend of mine has a daughter who is the mouse and sometimes she is the mouse's girlfriend. I'll have to get her appearance schedule! I should be able to do 16 pounds in 10 weeks, right? I'll have to do lots of this :yay: This is going to be our birthday gift to one another. We both have birthdays in January and really don;t want or need anything right now....except a trip to WDW!

Guess what? I lost 2 more pounds since yesterday! Yay!
Too bad it just confirms that I can't drink anymore. :(
Oh well.
I'd rather be skinny than tipsy! :lmao:

Speaking of tipsy, We went out to dinner last night at our favorite restaurant and they had a peach cosmopolitan drink special. I amn not much of a drinker but this was made with peach rum, white cranberry juice and lime. I l've never had a cosmo before, but those flavors just sang out to me ...and I had 3!:faint: After 2, I tried to explain to my DH that it was a good choice for my diet because it really should count as fruit, he just laughed and ordered me another. I am very amusing after my second drink! 2 is typically my limit, but these were so good. They tasted like summer to me. Does that make sense? Well now I'm afraid to step on the scale!:scared1: Back to the drawing board!

That is awesome. I wish my DH would change his mind, but it is Gatlinburg for us this summer and maybe 3 days at Orange Beach. He says our next Disney trip will be in '09. So until then we will rent out or DVC points and I will get to pay debt with that. SO I guess that is not a bad thing./

I have to get everybody up so we can get ready for church. Have a good one.

Man you peeps were posting fools yesterday! Still trying to catch up!
I got myself all psyched up yesterday to go sign up at the gym, but first I had to do a load of laundry.......I fell down the stairs! So now I'm confined to bed because I can hardly move
Now I have to get myself convinced to go again on monday. I need someone to hold my hand. I have this secret fear that when I walk through the gym doors everyone will bust up laughing.
 feel better. People at the gym won't laugh! They will admire you and support you for taking the initiative to get moving!
misty....i just went to check out the new installment and the last one i see is from 1/3. did i miss something?

thanks for being willing to keep up with all this.

and call aries - you won't be bugging her! i'm sure she'd be glad to hear from you.

i'm sorry you fell!!! that's the worst. i'm a klutz so i can relate.

and don't worry about being laughed at at the gym! i know when i see someone there that i'm not familiar with i just think, "good for them for being here." that's the only thought that ever crosses my mind! now....when i see a person that could stand some exercise coming in there, scanning their card, walking past the treadmills and all the exercise equipment to go to the tanning bed, then leaving afterwards, THAT'S when i just shake my head. not judging anyone......just don't understand it! you made the effort to get here.....why not jump on the treadmill for 20 minutes? :confused3 another thing i don't understand is when i see people circling the parking lot to get a good parking spot. YOU'RE AT THE GYM......WALK A LITTLE FURTHER!!! isn't that the point? sorry.......i'm rambling!
I always laugh at people who fight for the close parking spaces at the mall and then get inside and walk around the mall for a few hours!
Ok, I just got back from Fleet Feet. I decided to get some good running shoes for the 5K. Nothing like waiting til the last minute, huh? :rotfl2: They told me I would be fine! Actually, one of the guys is running both the half and the full. Anyway, after trying on about 6 pairs, walking/jogging in all of them. Trying two different ones on at the same time, I finally picked me a pair! They are kind of flashy, which I don't care for, but they are comfy! Let me just say, that I spent some of my Disney spending money on these babies, so dd and I may be eating nabs for lunch in the parks.

Winkers - so sorry about the fall. Take care and rest.

Oh, and Sparkie, my friend that teaches Sunday school with me got me to sign up for the Scale back Alabama challenge. So I'll be weighing in on Monday morning. In a private room with just the SBA officials, so no one else will see that number. ;) Good luck to you! Now I just have to lose at least 10 lbs. in 10 weeks to be in the drawing for $1000! :yay: (that would sure help pay for my shoes, and what I blow at disney. ;) )

Good luck to you and to Sandy with your running. Sooo exciting! wish I coulod be there to watch you, not to run with you!
Last Try Fo Reals...........
cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

WOOT! WOOT!
WOOT! WOOT!
Ok, I'm back from my run. Am I the only one that is dysfunctional when it comes to electronic devices? :headache: At 17:00, I was trying to see how far I had run, and I accidentally hit the wrong button and reset the GPS! :scared1: So, what did I do, I turned around and ran where I had been. :rotfl2: Then at 17:00, I looked at the distance and multiplied by 2. :teacher: Then I went the rest of the way home. WELL...................

After weeks of not really training I was able to go 2.95 miles in 40:30!!!!:cool1: :yay: And...............my knee has NO pain at all!! These new shoes are keepers! :thumbsup2 I have to run 3.1 miles in less than 45 minutes. It is attainable now!
What kind of sneakers did you buy?
i tried those and they didn't work for me. yep, you read that right. no "action" whatsoever. i have a very stubborn bowel. (<--- that sounds really gross!)
Good thing I'm not the tag fairy...cause I so would have tagged you with that one!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I was worried about something someone said to me once, and my friend's DH said, Just tell them, "Kiss my :eeyore: ". Now I wouldn't really say that, but when someone doesn't mind their own business or judges me, I think it. So if anyone did have the gall to laugh, ...:rolleyes1

WTG, girl!

Again, I say WTG!

My advice: keep lots of measuring tools handy in the kitchen, and learn what portion sizes are, so you have some control when you go out. When I gained the biggest amount of weight, I measured what I normally ate, like a bowl of cereal, and found and I was eating 3 times the serving size.

Hey, I got 22,500! If you look back at the birthday list, mine is 2/25, so that's kind of a lucky number for me.

WOOT! WOOT!
