good morning (almost afternoon!) i'm -1 pound today. yesterday i was down 2 pounds. go figure. 1 down and 3 to go!

I'm asking for pixie dust for my kids for tomorrow. Nothing really dramatic. They are both getting their wisdom teeth out. DH and I both will be caring for them, and he's a really good caregiver. I'm just praying the extractions are uneventful.

This is great motivation for me.

Had Matt at the ER last night.

He's just not getting better and the chest x-ray showed that. Plus he broke out in hives from head to toe last night. He looked terrible.

New meds, and please just keep him in your prayers. He's been sick for so long now. He just wants to make it to his band concert on Tuesday. I'm not sure if his lungs will let him. Poor kid.

Im sure most of this is water but i lost

7.5 pounds this week

I would be alot happier with this amount of weight loss on a normal basis but Im still 6.5 pounds from my usual heavy weight.

i didn't even know it was possible to lose that much in one week.....that's great! i think the most i've ever lost in one week is 3 pounds.

Oh yeah--it is very cold here, but I have HOT WATER. Everytime I woke last night I went and ran th ewater a little.

i was wondering about that.....glad to hear it!

That was actually one of the few clean jokes that he's told me. I've been going to him for 10+ years, and he's usually good for 2-3 jokes each time. And he's only repeated maybe 1/2 dozen of them in that time.

sounds like my grandpa....sorta. except he doesn't repeat jokes. the man is 80 years old and can't remember what he did with his glasses even if they're sitting on his nose, but he can tell you a joke he heard 20 years ago and they're usually pretty funny too! :laughing:

I weighed this morning and was very unhappy w/ the number. I have gained 7 lbs since the last time I weighed (Dec 21) and over 10 lbs over my lowest weight in 2007. I am going to take this number as my start weight for 2008, and post it here (gasp): 187. My ultimate goal is about 150, so I have a ways to go. Sigh.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! just remember how good it felt to step on the scale and post a loss here on friday. i know it's in you!!!! :goodvibes

I haven't been very peepish at all during my almost 2 weeks of holidays. I am starting again though and hope to undo all the damage I've done. I really should give up my 15lb ribbon, I just hate having to say I've gone backwards. I will not let my weight defeat me!

On the up side, I had a really nice visit with my mom and dad. I don't get to see them much so we enjoyed the time we spent together. (Hence the 2 wks of holiday.....) Unfortunately, a lot of the time is spent playing cards and snacking. Note to self: find healthier snacks to serve when company comes.

We're taking down the Christmas stuff today. I'm actually sorry to see it go. It can be a lot of work but my house looks kind of bare with out it. I moved a ton of stuff when we painted and haven't done any of the decorating that I want to finish the room. I need so much stuff that I almost don't know where to start.

Hello to all! I've been missing lately.
But thank goodness, I'm back down to my pre Christmas pre "I'm going to be an alcoholic" binge weight!!!!

i've lost (again) 125 total so far.
Yay!

And I'm back on track.
No more drinkie poos for me.
Well, occasional drinkie poos in moderation.

No more christmas food for me.

My cousin was here yesterday from Montana which stressed me out a bunch and I partook in some chicken noodle soup (healthy, but carby), but other than that, it was a good week! I just need to focus on keeping going rather than my usual sabotage!!!!!!!!!!

Wendy: I got the first two Stephanie Meyers Twilight books ! :banana: I mentioned to my friend that I wanted them and he showed up at my house with them this morning. I will only start reading tonight...otherwise my poor family might not get dinner. I have a really hard time putting books down

i myself didnt weigh, bc it was FRIGID in my house this morning and i didnt want those chillbumps to add extra pounds to the scale...i'll weigh tonight and letcha know. plus i gotta measure my inches. yuk.

did i tell you i took a bathing suit picture? :scared1: i am still so horrified by it.

i did well on the diet yesterday..minor setback in the evening, but learning to eat a little more along the way- trying to eat every 2.5 - 3 hours at least and not ever get too terribly hungry,

I, on the other hand, still do not own a scale, despite my plans each day last week to go to Target and purchase one. So I can't weigh in. I will hopefull have it by next Friday and can participate in the weekly weigh-in! :thumbsup2 I am hoping to find a talking scale like Garfield's, which insults you by saying things like, "One at a time, please". Cause who would not enjoy being mocked by a weight-measuring apparatus? :confused3

I am going to weigh in NEXT friday..i will just get weighed at Curves Monday a.m. and weigh myself on my own scale too.then i will re-weigh on friday and use that as my Peep # i guess..at least for the first week so i can have somethign to post..i hope its pretty.

Way to go on the numbers!!! Sorry about Matt---I knew he was ill, but how long has he been sick. Did they say what it was or just the generic resp. infection? Sending dust your way!!!

He's been sick since the Friday before Christmas. He started with the stomach flu. Then on the 26th started a fever. The 29th diagnosed with the flu and pneumonia. It was reconfirmed last night but worse. He still has major hives and Tim has him at his Dr. right now. He keeps saying the hives are torture. I wish I could take that from him and put it into me. I just want him well.

I need to vent - I'm ready to dive into the chocolate-

everything that can go wrong IS GOING WRONG!

money - overdrawn at the bank (automatic withdrawl gone very bad)
DVC - renting points - we dont have ANY paperwork - I cant call to make sure we are in magical express - I can wait till 48 hrs before arrival and call and check tho...

I just want to go back to bed and cry. I HATE not having money!!

I am feeling the same way about my ticker. I should really update it but it is so embarrassing to make it go backward.

Anytime I have to bring snacks I make a veggie tray w/ reduced fat dip. Fat free is noticable but most people don't notice the reduced fat version.

I think my scale is saying, please, please make this quick. Actually, it does have this little +/- thing that is supposed to signify how overweight you are. Of course mine is maxed out, sigh.

Hives are the WORST. I had them 2 years back and they finally gave me prednisone and a prescription cream to get them to go away. It is like being wrapped in fiberglass insulation. Poor little guy!!

I started my day by the cat pawing me awake at 9:05AM. Being that I am supposed to be at work by 9:30AM (10 at the latest), it is a half hour drive, and I had to stop at the vet and pick up the prescription food that she has been out of for a few days now... it was a bit like :scared1: . I managed to get me (dirty but at least I combed my hair and dressed!), my gym bag (thankfully packed last night), and my laptop bag into the car and out of the driveway by 9:13. Stopped at the vet and starbucks and was at work by 10AM.

Good so far today... breakfast was a tall coffee w/ skim milk and sweet'n'low and a WW english muffin w/ SF preserves. Lunch was a LC panini and a Campbells soup-at-hand. I did 20 min on the ARC trainer and a full weight circuit at the gym.

I have decided to add 2-3 days of weight training back into my exercise routine. I think that might have been part of my mistake the last few months... I have boiled it down into a lot of cardio and not much weight training. Well, that and eating WAY too many bad foods.
