HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

I've been accused of being a dentist!! :rotfl2:

Giving out glow sticks... ok, candy too dad!! :rotfl2:

I dont think we're up to 50 treaters yet... go figure - we live in a huge development, but you have to walk up a set of stairs to get to my door!! I left a trail of glow sticks!! :rotfl2: One kid I overheard "I told you this is where they're getting 'em" :rotfl2:

Party was weird... quiet... subdued??? I made the bloody punch - red hawaiian punch, 7up, and marchinos cherries....!!

Oh, and fdil and I had lunch - they signed the papers - she is so smart... she read the closing papers... "um, where is my earnest deposit?" oh, hmmm, (cha ching, they deducted $1,000 from the closing cost they told her she had o have!!).... um... this line here? I thought condos were exempt?? "hmmm, she's right!!" cha ching $500 to fdil!!! She is smart, she also found a $25 error in her favor!!

Wish I could've come to your party because ours was WILD!!!! I got there late because I had to wait until I got done with carline before I could leave work and go to the party. I had given the craft supplies to one of the other mothers so that she could help get the kids started before I got there. I walked in and it was total CHAOS!:scared1: They did a good job on their picture frames, and I was in the corner hot gluing their pictures to their frames. They had their choice of Jack o lanterns or candy corns to put on their frames. They were leftover pieces from some of our crafts last year at preschool. :thumbsup2 Cost me nothing to make these cute frames!

I love that idea about the punch. I may have to "borrow" it. ;)

Sounds like FDIL is a keeper. :thumbsup2

I gave out candy and tattoos. I left it all in a bowl while we left and went to church tonight. When we got back home, most of the candy was gone, but the tattoos were still there. :confused3 I thought the kids would have liked that. I'll have to see if they're "talking about me" at the bus stop in the morning. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I was bad tonight at my mom's house for dinner (why did I have to get cursed with a mother who makes the best Italian food I've ever had) but at least I skipped dessert. Dogs and I got home to find that DH had handed out every last candy bar to trick or treaters and then had to turn the light off. Too bad, no candy for me. However, I think the lasagne is going to tip that scale for Friday anyway.

I think this is the first Halloween in my entire life of 51 years that I have had absolutely not one itty bitty piece of candy. Cheers for me. But that lasagne..........

Tip for the Day ! (for those who have children who will be Trick or Treating )
When checking candy and putting in piles IE the hard stuff you do not want your kids to eat, but they get every year because it is the cheapest to buy) :rotfl: Do not make a pile of snack size candy bars for yourself and when they are not looking hide them :confused3 stay away from those snack size candy bars or if they are lucky (FULL SIZE CANDY BARS ) also
They are the DEVIL!!!!!!! okay now back to my regular program of iron and folding Laundry...;) and also
Happy Halloween!!!!!

How about this? I am not kidding here. My DD got a 1 pound bag of skittles last night!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We only got about 30 kids. I never know what to expect. Sometimes we get 200 kids! Last night was beautiful weather so I thought we'd have a ot. My sister lives about 2 miles from me. Her neighborhood was crazy. They ran out of candy early, so we brought over a bag to her house.

HAPPY ALL SAINTS DAY!

I way overslept today due to a Disney nightmare....I lost my keys to the world, couldn't remember my ADRs or park plans and....I MISSED SPECTRO!!!

More than 150 trick or treaters here...probably a little less than 200. Had to send DH to the store for more. I saw people who lived ALL OVER our neighborhood who were out trick or treating with their kids on our street....it's the place to be I guess.

Gotta shower and get ready for work! It's 7:20 already!!! :scared1:

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

So I want to join and be a DISappearing Peep :goodvibes I leave for Disney in 195 days!!! lol

I told myself I was going to start the 1st of the month and could use some support along the way. I would love to lose 15 pounds before I go to Disney in May (for my bachelorette party with my aunts & girl cousins ) and a total of 20 pounds for my trip to Las Vegas in June (another bachelorette party with my girl friends..Crazy right??!!! 2 bachelorette parties but im not complaining ;) ) & September 08 wedding. We will see how it goes.

When I left for Aruba which was about 2 weeks ago i weighed 135.. I have eaten everything that hasnt been nailed down the past 2 weeks and i wouldnt be surprised if i gained 5 pounds the past 2 weeks!!! :scared1: I read the couple of last posts I live in Tribeca in NYC and in an apt building we had only 1 trick or treator sooooo i ATE all the candy last night!!! GREAAATTT ...but im back to being on track.

When I was in H.S. (Im 32 now) I weighed 168 pounds i lost that weight and fortunately have not gained it back since. I really like working out at the gym and love turbo jam and the firm workouts but would really like to kick it into over drive and get in get shape for my trip to disney in May.

So Hello to everybody! and wish me luck!!!

Hope everyone has a great Thursday.....it's ALMOST the weekend! Don't ingest too much Halloween candy.....tomorrow is weigh in day. (I guess I should take my own advice:rolleyes: )

I think this is the first Halloween in my entire life of 51 years that I have had absolutely not one itty bitty piece of candy. Cheers for me. But that lasagne..........

that's awesome!!!! and don't worry about the lasagne. no permanent damage done, i'm sure!

How about this? I am not kidding here. My DD got a 1 pound bag of skittles last night!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: glutton much? seriously...who would give a kid a 1-pound bag of ANYTHING???? ray's nephew got a whole full-size 3 musketeers bar last night and i thought that was bad!

I way overslept today due to a Disney nightmare....I lost my keys to the world, couldn't remember my ADRs or park plans and....I MISSED SPECTRO!!!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: that IS a nightmare!!!!! i think the only disney-related nightmare i've ever had is we were at DTD with my family and i had already paid for the DDP and no one would use it! i was like, "guys, the food's already paid for." but everyone insisted on paying for their food with cash. only my family would do that....even in a dream!

So I want to join and be a DISappearing Peep :goodvibes I leave for Disney in 195 days!!! lol

WELCOME!!!!!!!! and congrats on the weight loss (from years ago....but you still need a congrats!) we have weekly weigh-ins on fridays. just post your numbers in big, bold pretty colors so utahmam or lexmelinda can keep a tally. and you don't have to post your weight......just how much you've lost or gained. just weigh yourself tomorrow morning and then next friday see how much that number has changed.

Thought I would share.... my BABY..

Welcome! We're glad to have you here!!

Hi Bee! :wave2:

My Trick-or-Treating was very disappointing. It was the first Halloween in my new house, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Now, I love Halloween. I enjoy decorating for it, interacting with the little kids in their costumes (roaring at the little lions, pretending to be scared by the mummies and ghosts, speaking "old West" to the cowboys, etc). I set my doorbell to this spooky sound of an organ playing and a scary scream. We bought two large bags of candy, thinking that should be enough. My parents live in the same subdivision, only we live on a cul-de-sac and they live more on the main loop. I'd say they are a three minute walk away. But keep in mind that this is a fully developed subdivision, so that walk is lined with probably 2 dozen houses so it isn't like it is a three minute walk with no houses between theirs and mine. Anyway, my parents had about 60 kids last night. And how many did I get? 15. I spent the first hour and a half looking out my front window, seeing kids go to the houses across the street from our cul-de-sac, look my way, and just keep on walking. It was so darn depressing, that I had to call my mom to vent to her. She called someone that they know at the end of the cul-de-sac (basically my next door neighbor, but we've got a small pond between us so there's like 1/2 an acre between the two houses); anyway, this person said that they already had 2 dozen kids, but that nobody likes to walk down to the end of the cul-de-sacs. He thinks it is because the kids are too lazy; which if that's the case is really a testament to how lazy society has become in general. :sad2: But that's a whole 'nother discussion for another day. It is entirely possible that since Trick-or-Treating started at 4:00, and the sun was shining directly on our house until probably 5:30, that kids just couldn't see my light on. But either way, I was left with $20 worth of candy at home, which is now sitting in the mail room here at work. Most likely it'll be gone by the end of the day.

 just a quick hug for you! i've seen pics of you and.....i know i'm not a doctor.....but you don't look anywhere near obese to me!

Thanks! I wouldn't say I was obese either, guess I think of obese as over 350lbs, but it will still affect my premium for my life insurance. Not much I can do about that. :sad2:

Amazing how lazy the kids are today. We use to not get many because we are at the end of a street, near a cross street, but the house across from us, next to them and next to me would be dark, so the kids wouldn't come to my end! So frustrating when you have candy ready for the taking! :headache: Last night we had about 50 kids, most in groups of 8-12 middle schoolers! At least they were all in a costume!

Love all of you!!

Bee

Hay BEE!!! Glad that you stopped by and your daughter looks great!!

In our subdivision people do not trick or treat so we have to jump neighborhoods for the night. The one we went to was bustling. They even had a neighborhood party when trick or treating ended. We knew a lot of the people there and we all had fun. Joshua probably gave out candy to 30 kids. Is it just me or should there be an age limit for trick or treaters? I saw just to many teenagers and then people with itty bitty babies and trick or treating for them. Yes, there were other kids, but does the 9mth old with no teeth need a bag?

Weigh in is not going to look good in the morning---got on the scales and I was up a pound--maybe by the morning it will disappear. On Monday I will join WW again. My BF and and I will go back together. We decided to do this on Tuesday, but I am weird and can't start mid week--I have to go on Monday. Yes, I am OCD.

Hope that everyone has a blessed day.

Happy day everyone! The first of November.....where has the year gone? I hope everyone had a good time trick or treating. We went to the zoo! Every year they host "Spooktacular", this is the first year that we have gone. Since we live out in the boonies we can't really trick or treat. In the past since we have lived here, we have always met up with my kids cousins, and went with them. My friend works at a vets office and they treat the zoo animals, so she got 8 free tickets!! We used 4 and gave away 4. It was alot of fun, and (best) not a lot of candy. Light up balls, glow bracelets, masks, popcornpopcorn:: , fast food certificates, and a little candy. Perfect! Espcially since he came home with ALOT from school. Internet issues for the past couple of weeks.......today they will be out here for the second day in a row, (third time altogether) to "fix" it. Wish me luck.

Hey all! Nice to hear from you Bee. Your daughter is beautiful!

Tomorrow is my first weigh in. :scared1:

Tim did not take the job.

4 of the 5 kids here are sick!

I got an estimate for my kitchen that we like and CAN afford! So, I'm waiting on one more and then I will decide and be under contruction! I can't wait. :yay: My new functional kitchen will soon be a reality.

Glad that you guys know what you are going to do. Nothing like the stress of figuring out jobs. With you kitchen--how long do they think it will take to do? Will you start after the holidays are as soon as possible? Also, what changes do plan on making? The next change we will make is granite counter tops. Then we will redo kust my shower area. Wish I would have watched all these home redo shows before we built 2 years ago. They have given me so many new ideas :rotfl: DH just does not appreciate them :rotfl: Good luck with the renovation---ket us know what you decide.

Just showing how blonde I am. Have you ever pressed the multi quote button and then forgot that you were going to quote people and went on to something else. Well I have to admit I have done that several times this week and not realized it until I came back and did not see the stuff I quoted. Peeps pleaese do not think I don't care what is going on---I really have had the intention of quoting and replying, but with everything going on I just forgot to hit the final quote button :rolleyes1  Hopefully I will not forget again lol

Good morning all. I feel like I have a lasagne hangover this morning. And serious regrets that I ate soooo much of it.

LM0429 Welcome and congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Aaron Sorry you didn't get many trick or treaters but good for you that you took the leftover candy to the office for all of your co-workers who are not on the "health kick":rotfl2:

Melinda and Dawn Your Disney nightmares are too funny. Gosh, it's not like we don't stress enough overplanning these vacations but then you have to have nightmares about it too.

Monica I hope some of the stress is gone now that the job decision has been made. And how exciting to be getting a kitchen remodel.

Heather You are worse than me. Two years in a new house and already working up the remodel dreams!!! We put granite in our new house (4 yrs old) and I would give up a lot of things in my life before I'd give up that granite. I sure like the ease of cleaning it.

Well it's November 1st which means my dept has to start the year-end process (our year end is 10/31) so it will be a busy couple of months for me. That's why we always go to WDW in January right after I finish the corporate taxes--I always need that vacation.

Have a great "before weigh-in" day. I'm going to be super strict today and exercise double tonight to undo the lasagne.

We just finished an add on. Expanded the living area by about 300 sq. feet and added a huge covered porch patio and a storage room. Our house lacked any storage---why didn't we add that to the plans:confused3

Good luck with the year end stuff---doesn't sound fun.
