Misty - Your puppy is so cute!!!
I loved the mother's ring - was that your jeriber?
Wendy - Was it Norah who was getting sick? Is everyone well now?
I don't even watch Grey's, but you guys almost have me curious!
Thanks for praying for DH's dad. He is still in the hospital, but doing well.
I already have you on the list for January with the baby, right? And ASAP with Joshua. Will you need care during the summer though? A mom called the other day wanting to know where she was on our 2 year old list - I hate telling people, "Sorry, you are like number 22 and maybe you should try when your child turns 3." There is such a need in Hattiesburg for quality centers. Next year we are going to go for our NAEYC accreditation. We pretty much do the things they require anyway.
You have a trip in 16 days! Wow I didn't realize it was so soon. Is that spring break? How long are you staying? Where are you staying? And most importantly where are you eating?
Where has Melissa (Katinhat) been?
WOOOHOOOTY
I agree with everything Christine said. As a director, I see all perspectives. I know that most teachers are not there for the money (if they are, they do not last long!) Working in a room with 10 toddlers all day is no cake walk. There are many days that 5 teachers call in sick and then what do you do? We shuffle and move people and do all we can to keep ratios down. This year we did hire 2 full time subs that float everyday and fill in where we need them - that has really helped. It is a constant balancing act: keep ratios down, keep tuition reasonable, pay teachers well, keep everyone happy. Until I took over as a director, I had no idea how hard running a daycare is. You have got to love kids and see it as a ministry.
I wonder if Wendy has posted her "Goodbye" video yet!?

Stacey--River is still the number one spot on our list. What do I need to do to get the baby on the list as well. We are just talking--as of now we wouldn't even know who to ask lol. Still just thinking.

Hey, can I go with you?? Please, please, please. Seriously--have a great trip. We are buying a harness bear for Joshua for our trip in 16 days. Not sure how it is going to work, but better than a lost child.

May I please get a woo hooty! I ran into someone today whom I haven't seen in a while. SHe said wow you lost alot of weight. You look five years younger. It was great because I was getting very discouraged about the whole plateau thing going on. So if after 15 lbs I look 5 years younger, I figure I'll look like I'm 8 years old by the time I'm done!![]()

I agree one hundred percent to be careful on picking a daycare and I absolutley love what you did at each of the schools. There should be more parents like you out there making there voices heard and ?'s asked.
I used to work in day care that was going to be my future but I changed all that back in 2004 I had enough with centers and there methods and parents. It the kids were for at least 8 years was the only reason I woke up but not even they could keep there grasp on me to stay.
First from a teachers point, some of those kids look at us the teachers like the parents we had them from 7am to 6pm. Now I know its hard and people have to make a living but I'll tell you this the kids I had were well off even if one parent or no parent worked. It seemed like they had these kids just to say "Hey I have a kid" and could careless that they only so them for a total of 4 hours max a day. Some of the kids would even slip and call us mom.
Now thats my feel on daycares and I'll tell you this.... I will never have my daughter in Daycare for more than 2 days a week. I actually did that for 2 months and now shes home with me again because it wasnt worth the money and the school to me was not perfect and like since being in daycare, my standards are set so high to the point that she probably only go to a center that I ran. She can wait till Pre- k we are just doing storytime and mommy and me stuff .
