I did get in 30 -40 minutes of exercise by shoveling snow in our driveway Saturday! :)

So, Saturday, I got up & we were in the process of getting an additional 3" of snow on top of the 13" we already had. DH took Jasper out to do her "thing" in the backyard, and put down her breakfast. When I came into the living room, he tells me she didn't poo again. (We actually had 1 day where she was back on schedule and did everything outside.) Well, I figured after breakfast I will try again. Didn't have to, she did it in the kitchen while she was supposed to be eating. After DH left for work, I called my salon to see if my stylist was available next Saturday to cut my hair because I wasn't sure I wanted to drive the 40-ish minutes it takes to get there in the snow. (I had an appointment was at 10:30.) The person on the phone said my stylist was out next Saturday and did I just want her to call me when she came in at 9? I said yes. Never did I say go ahead and cancel my appointment for today. I got ready to go, and when I got out of the shower, it had pretty much stopped snowing. It was 9:30, and I was in the car in the driveway ready to go, and I decided to call my stylist, just in case, because she hadn't called me. Sure enough, they had cancelled my appointment and filled the spot already! Ugh! She asked me about several times that I was not available, primarily because I work 8-5 M-F and the place is 40 minutes away. I still go there because it is reasonable, and I LOVE my stylist! I don't trust just anyone with my hair! I actually cut it myself for years because I didn't want just anyone doing it. :rotfl: Finally, she said she would try to squeeze me in and just to come on over. I did, and after sitting in the waiting area for an HOUR, I got my hair cut! Then, I called my mom, who was coming over to my house, to let her know I was done. She would be at my house around 2. I went home, let the dog out and went back out to the driveway to shovel snow so that Mom can get her car into the driveway. Wind was picking up, and it was REALLY hard! I am SO out of shape! My heart was just pounding! I took several brief breaks and kept at it, but when I couldn't do anymore, it still didn't seem as if I had done enough! I came in and discovered that Jasper had pooed again! (She normally doesn't do this midday!) I cleaned it up and called DH to see about paying someone to come plow the driveway. I made several calls, and DH called his dad to see if he knew anyone. I had NO luck with my calls. Too much demand right now, and FIL's person wasn't at home. Finally, DH calls back and says FIL's gut is on his way, and it'll be $20. Cool! I moved DH's demo out of the driveway into the garage, and called Mom to let her know because she was about to arrive. She drives around the neighborhood until he is done, and the driveway is clear! Yay! :yay: But now there is even MORE snow in front of our front door, where he decided to dump it! Oh well, I can't complain too much for $20. :rotfl: Then, I started working on the typing project I brought home from work to make up time from the snow days last week. This turned into a major fiasco, and I spent about 3 1/2 hours on the first 3 pages trying to make it work, until I finally found that we had Word installed on the other laptop. I trasnferred everything over to that laptop, and things started going quicker, but it still took me HOURS to get about halfway done! It is a royal pain in the :eeyore: . At least I am making up time, I guess, but I think I may be PMSing because I was in SUCH a mood all day! All of this stuff was REALLY getting to me!

However, now it is over, and today is a new day, and DH and I are going out to dinner and a movie to celebrate V-Day late. And all WILL be well! :teeth: Sorry for the LONG story Peeps. I just really needed to vent. I'm done now. Thanks for listening! :goodvibes

Oh I forgot about Camelot...one of my all time favorite movies. I will always think of Richard Harris as King Arthur and my children will always think of him as Dumbledore! I saw him do the stage production of Camelot about 20 years ago! It was fantabulous!

Ewwww....so sorry Allie! Been there....DD threw up on Halloween night after about 3 pieces of pizza and half the chocolate in her trick or treat bag....no pretty and the carpet had only been down 2 weeks. :sad2:

Yucky memory just popped into the 'ol noggin. The whole family was moving out to Midland (horrible place) and we stopped at a "truck stop" to eat. DD was 2 or 3 and ate fried eggs and Sprite and proceeded to barf all over me. Got the two of us all cleaned up and we went on our merry way. I was alone in the car, everyone else was in the truck with hubby. And I kept getting this wiff of something... unpleasant. Turns out I had gotten the front of my shirt/dress/tank top whatever cleaned off, but I had missed some that had gone INTO my shirt and got caught in the cleavage part of my bra. :scared1: All I could do was turn the air conditioner to the lowest temperature possible and suffer until we stopped again.:scared:

morning peeps, bout to get ready for church, just wanted to pop in for a quick pickme up...trying to get motivated to be healthy today...trying to convince me that I can and I will lose the weight I want, mybe not as quickly, but I will get it done...just want to be proud by summertime...maybe I'll make it

You WILL make it! I noticed you're over half-way through your exercise goal!

We got such a great laugh out of it, and I don't think they ever knew that their tree was decorated with tampons! So next time your kids ask what Tampons are just tell them that they are Christmas decorations!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

And I am also a big fan of Walk to Remember

I've seen this one listed a few times and it reminded me of another one... A Walk in the Clouds with Keanu Reeves... not many people saw it, but I loved it

Sorry for the LONG story Peeps. I just really needed to vent. I'm done now. Thanks for listening! :goodvibes

No problemo!

help I am eating and I cannot stop!!!!! have got a major PMS going and I am craving sweet......I am already at 970 cals at 1:00:scared1:

I am gonna have to walk for like 2 hrs today to get these cals off me!

thanks for noticing my workouts, I am struggling getting them in this weekend, lazy, to busy eating to workout!

Here's a good tampon story for ya! When I was in college, we would be given a goody box at the beginiing of each year in the dorm. It had sample products of different things like tylenol, oil of olay, and tampons. Well one year they had to recall all of the tampons, because they had just discovered the link with Toxic shock syndrome. Don't ask me how we figured this out, but somehow the girls on my floor discovered that if you turn tampons inside out they look like guaze bells. So we kept our recalled tampons, turned them all inside out and put glitter on them and used them to decorate a Christmas tree in our lounge! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Well the guys from a few floors down saw our tree and loved the decorations. They told us that guys weren't crafty and could we make them those cool bells for their tree! We were more than happy to do that!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We got such a great laugh out of it, and I don't think they ever knew that their tree was decorated with tampons! So next time your kids ask what Tampons are just tell them that they are Christmas decorations!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: I was sitting here laughing and DH looked at me to see if I would tell him what was so funny. I told him he didn't want to know as it involved girlie stuff. He :sad2: at me.

Stacey - thanks for asking about me. I'm actually really really sore! And swollen on one side. I've been living off sips of gatorade and mashed potatoes. My sore side is the side where my tooth was sideways so I think they had to do a little extra work to get it out, hence the extra soreness. The Dr also said that the swelling would peak at about 48 hours which is in a couple hours and sounds about right judging by my face right now. The percocets are fabulous but they knock me out within 15 minutes of taking them so I'm pretty much stuck on the couch or in bed if I take them. I'm getting a little nervous about this week, Tuesday and Wednesday specifically. My supervisor at the schools has been giving me and the other clinician a really hard time about our performance and right now I can barely open my mouth! I've already used my 1 absence so I can't even call in sick. Judging from her reaction when I told her I was in pain and having them out, I don't think she will be very sympathetic. That and I haven't even written my lesson plans - I am screwed with her.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I've been skimming and staying caught up but just not in the mood to post a lot. If you could send a little pixie dust that I start feeling loads better soon, I'd appreciate it!

:grouphug:

Shannon~ I'm still thinking about you. Hopefully things will feel beter tonight and Tues and Wed won't be so bad.

Stacey~ Take care and try to rest. I know you have a busy day and have lots of commitments but you still need to take it easy when you can.

Harley~ Hang in there, you can do it. I need to say this to myself too........

Confession time...... I was really bad on Friday. We had a staff pitch in and I ate what ever I felt like. We had a southern theme so tehre was fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, corn bread and chocolate cake. I had some of everything. Then we had dinner reservations for a historic dinner at our local living history museum. I wasn't sure if it was going to be any good but it was yummy. I had seconds of several things. :rolleyes1 Let me tell ya; brandied peaches are rather good. I gained almost 4.4 lbs in 24 hrs!!! I dind't feel well yesterday (wonder why...) and ate lightly but I'm still hanging onto 2 lbs of it. Then we went to breakfast and I had a whole hashbrown skillet breakfast. I should be ashamed of myself. I know I don't need that much food. I haven't been on the TM since Wed, I can't get to it at the moment; we had a large shipment of animal goods come in on Thurs and the boxes got piled on the TM. The cats are loving thier new furniture but it's taking a toll on my exercise routine.

I posted another installemnt to my TR if anyone is interested.

The Quiet Man!

Oh, I know I keep thinkin - I love that one, I love Cary Grant, and the Sabrina remake was good too (the original was just on TMC - 7 Brides for 7 Brothers is on now!!)

DH got me Quiet Man for my bday one year - have you ever seen John Wayne's movie "Hellfighters" I LOVE that movie - Timothy Hutton!!

oh and who posted about Heavan? That drove me crazy, finally rememberd the movie (Timothy Hutton) Made in Heavan - so sweet, he drowns while saving a family, goes to Heavan, his Aunt I think helps him acclimate, he falls in love "up there" but she's never been "human" so she gets sent to earth, and he asks to go back, he believes in love, and believes no matter what he will find her... there is this hauntingly beautiful music... that I cant remember, he plays a trumpet so I keep hearing the music!! Must find that movie now!!

and how about "Meet me in St Louis" of course that's more of a musical.. maybe after we finish the romance we can move to comedies, or musicals!!

Gotta run,

:grouphug: Lynda I was going to post but must take dd to a bday party, I forgot about!!

Just checking in with everyone. Had a meeting after church and since I stayed an extrar service for the meeting (1.5 hours) guess what it was canceled. Oh! :headache: Speaking of headache I have had one since last Monday. I do not know which ones of my meds I can take so I have only been taking tylenol and ibuprofin--will call DR. in the morning and see what I can take that is stronger since this is not working. See ya later.

Favorite Romantic Movie Peep Poll : I've decided its a long weekend and throw some interest in the thread!! So chime in folks!! :happytv:

How about "EverAfter" with drew Barrymore? I  that movie!!!

So we leave in 6 days, peeps to Disneyland!

But my 17 year old has to stay home for his Full Time job at Arbys (he's doing training) and is in college classes he can NOT miss. He WANTS to stay home, too. So the rest of us went shopping today and when we got home the microwave was on fire! :scared1:

He had put a really nice flax seed neck pillow that you microwave for 30 seconds, take it out and shake and microwave again, (repeat)for 6 minutes!!!!!! It was put in the microwave awkwardly and so the carousel would not turn. So my lovely neck warming flax seed and lavander neck pillow caught fire and totally ruined our microwave!

He was SO appologetic, but I just said, "Let's look at all the lapses in COMMON SENSE in this situation!"

P.S. His Girlfriend is out of town durring the week we're gone or I'd be dragging him to DL!!!!

Can Grandma come stay with him?!? :confused3

Just saw today: "Finding Neverland". If you haven't seen it, get it! It is GREAT!

Good Movie! Gotta Love Johnny Depp!!

GROWL!

I just realized I neglected to reserve a hotel room for Mother's Weekend at the boys univ. and of course, the closest room available is 23 miles away!!

I thought we took care of this!! Dagnabit - I'm sure the boys will bunk up and I'll stay in ds room (cannot call that small area an apartment efficiency/studio!! :rotfl2: )

Wonder if you can waitlist!!
