I know I post about this a lot - but those that achieve their weight loss goals all seem to be strict about writing everything down. I know the WW also has a journal you can purchase - here's a link>

http://www.dwlz.com/WWinfo/dailyjournal.html

print several out, and put them into a school type notebook!!

Knowing when and why you ate is important to avoid overeating, eating when stressed, eating when depressed. This food record is a daily journal of your eating habits. To the right of each meal listed below, record what you ate, when you ate, your hunger level, and your mood when you ate. Good luck on your journey and remember, ONE DAY AT A TIME, NO GUILT and just MOVE ON when you are having a rough day! YOU CAN DO THIS - I'm rooting for you. Dotti

List the following: Food /Points/ Time Eaten / Hunger Level*/ Mood**

* Hunger Levels (1-5): 1 = not hungry, 5 = super hungry

** Moods: (A) Happy; (B) Content; (C) Bored; (D) Depressed; (E) Rushed; (F) Stressed; (G) Tired; (H) Lonely; (I) Anxious; (J) Angry; (K) Other (describe)

Diet Totals 758-Pound Loss

I have dieted continuously for the last two decades and lost a total of 758 pounds. By all calculations, I should be hanging from a charm bracelet.
I have done a lot of kidding around with Weight Watchers, but it is the only organization in which I ever lost a great deal of weight. But I fought them.

Every Tuesday morning, a group of us had to "weigh in" before the lecture. Our ritual was enough to boggle the imagination. We got together a check list of precautions before we actually stepped on the scale.

Bathroom? Check. Water pill? Check. Have you removed underwear, wedding rings, nail polish? Check. Set aside shoes and earrings? Check. Are you wearing a summer dress beneath your winter coat? Check.

The first week I stepped on the scale and my instructor said, "You have gained." (Next week, I cut my hair.)
The next week, she said, "You have lost eight ounces, but that is not enough." (I had the fillings in my teeth removed.)
The third week, I had dropped a pound, but my instructor was still not pleased. (I had my tonsils taken out.)
Finally, she really chewed me out. She accused me of not sticking to the diet and not taking it seriously. That hurt.

"I didn't want to tell you," I said, "but I think I am pregnant."

"How far?" she said coldly, clicking her ballpoint pen to make a notation on my card.

"Possibly three days," I said.

She glowered. "Any other excuses?"

"Would you believe I have a cold and my head is swollen?"

"No."

"How about I was celebrating the Buzzard's Return to Hinkley, Ohio, and had butter on my popcorn?"
She tapped her pen impatiently on the card and stared at me silently.
"Lint in the navel?" I offered feebly.
"How about first one at the trough?" she asked dryly.

I learned quickly never to argue with a woman who had the scales on her side.

I saw my old instructor the other day and she eyed me carefully and said, "When are you returning to class?"

"As soon as I have my appendix removed," I said returning her gaze.

I'm not sure, but I think I heard her moan.

As you post it updates your post count in ALL of your posts I believe. So as I post this my count will go up to 153 in all my posts...I think.

Hmm...maybe not!! Huh?! I have no clue then.

Apparently it does do it that way but it takes a minute. OOPS.

ok heres the schedule LOL
We arrive in Orlando at 12:30am Staying at All Star Movies then We will wake up at 8am use a snack option on breakfast and Head over to Epcot Ride the Nemo Ride and Soarin, Next head over to MGM Studios for the Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney Theatre, some Character meetups and then off to Magic Kingdom where will proceed to have a counter service meal, to then try to do all we can there before they close, and have a Character dinning for our table service meal and use our last snack option on our way out of the park after spectromagic! From there go back to the hotel and pick up our rental car and drive to Fort Lauderdale Think we can do all that in a day, I'll let you know when I get back!

I'm exhausted reading that! WAY to go! You are a great strategist.
Sounds great! Busy, but great!

The past times that I have lost weight(except the time on WW) I have stayed around 1100 calories and then promptly gained it back.My goal weight is 135 lbs, I think so that would be 1350 calories a day.I have been trying to stay between 1200-1400 since I joined the PEEPS.I am about7-8 lbs from my goal so I think 1350 will work.I have never stayed at my goal weight for more than a week so I want to do this right. The Dr. says I am ruining my body with my weight fluctuating so drastically.Last summer I had to have my gall bladder out and this was probably the reason.Off to play chauffer(sp)...thanks for the prompt response.:goodvibes

It sounds like you are on the right track. Just keep keepin' on! :) My mom's gall bladder actually burst when I was little, and it was quite scary! :scared1: She also had anemia prior to having a hysterectomy when I was in high school, and she is a breast cancer survivor. So, I have real motivation to take care of myself! When I was successful before, I did maintain for a couple of years at a time, I believe. (I have done this roughly 2-3 times since high school. I understand fluctuation! ) The difference between when I was maintaining and when I started gaining again? Simple - I stopped what I was doing (counting calories/exercising/drinking water). I would start to have a few cheat days in a row, or go out of town, or take a break from exercising (which I should be doing more of now!), and I would get out of the habit. It would snowball from there, and pretty soon, I was just not trying anymore. I have to maintain these eating habits (and exercise habits - once I form them again) in order to maintain my weight. I have to come to terms with that. I know that one of the times I gained a bit was because I was frustrated that I had to make so much effort just to be on the high side of my ideal weight, and some people make no effort at all and are skinny! I just didn't think it was fair. Maybe it's not, but regardless, it's what I have to do. And it IS worth it for me to lose this weight and KEEP it off. I don't have to be quite as exact on the calories when I am maintaining, and I can eat a little more, but I still have to stay within certain limits, and the only way I can do that is to pay attention and make an effort. So, even after I hit my goal, which will be at least several months from now, I will need Peep support. Sooooooooo glad I found this thread! :goodvibes (Thanks to Utahthreadmama & BabymakinMonica!)
