I noticed it as soon as he was born, but really did not say anything until our 2 wk checkup. They suggested the wait and see. It has extedended a little. My DH had to have his clipped as well.
The Dr's never noticed Jessica's tongue even though she was a terrible projectile vomiter, it did get a bit better post op. She still has this little dent in her the end of her tongue but she thinks it's cool.

My little man has had an ear infection since Thanksgiving. He has been on 5 different anibiotics since Dec. 10th. They are putting in tubes and taking out adnoids. They may even clip his tongue (it doesn't go out all the way and looks like a snake tongue when he tries to poke it out) The Dr. will let us know today.

I am at work. I go through spells of bad headaches--can last for several weeks. I use to be on immitrex shots, but I really do not like the side effects. Last year I was getting 3 to 4 migraines a week. Some would last for the day and others would last days. I do not drink a lot of soda. I am about to take some non asprin and some flavored water. I have had this one since yesterday morning and I thought it would rain, but it hasn't. Oh Well.

You will get the MRI --right? Where are you having it done? I have had it done at Southern Bone and at Hattiesburg Clinic. Depending on where you have it they will work with you. I called around to get different prices back in November and they were all pretty close as far as cost go. When is it scheduled for?

Thank you.. Sorry I missed it last time.

Hope your head feels better! :flower3:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDY!!:dance3:
Not a problem - I've got loads of :wizard: here for anyone who needs it.

I've done WW online and the tools you get are great - online points finder, online "journal" to keep track of points, activity points tracker, weight tracker. Pretty much everything you really need if you joined in person. But I find that I don't hold myself as accountable since I just have to report to a computer, rather than a person at the scale once a week. But some people don't need that extra accountability. So for me, I prefer the meetings because it re-motivates me every week and I know that I have someone to report to. Hope that helped a bit! Now go rest up! :goodvibes

Woooo - hooooty, Mousehouselover!

*Shannon
My sister does WW online and loves it but I also had to have the accountability of the meetings.
I'm going to Disney World:wizard:

We are going to visit my grandparents last minute but if I go to florida i need to go see the mouse!! So we are flying into orlando Feb 28 staying there for one maybe 2 days and then driving to Fort Lauderdale and staying there till March 6. SO excited Everyone!!!
That is GREAT!!I am sure you can manage to have alot of fun!!

I am stressed...auditors are here and asking accounting questions that I dont know the answer to...I feel very stupid...:sad2: wish I had a duh smilie to go here:headache: that'll do

I am not letting it get int he way of my eating tho...for the first time in forever I am not stress eating....more like the opposite.

sexylexy - I have not gone to the dr yet, I am gonna see if the calorie thing helps a bit first, I need to be sure I am giving this my all before I make excuses, but I will be going in a few weeks anyways to get a full blood workup and meet a new dr anyway, so I'll talk to her about it then.

Harley,I am proud of you for not stress eating!:thumbsup2

Pigget,My DS9 had his tongue clipped when he was three. The dental hygenist realized what was wrong at his first appointment!I felt extremely stupid and then realized how many people missed it.He had seen numerous specialists for a variety of problems and even a speech therapist.:confused3 Hope your son's surgery goes well.

Lexmelinda,I love reading your posts every morning.THanks!!!

After reading the posts I am wondering if I have unrealistic expectations for myself when it comes to calories per day.I have had an awful week and have gained.Did someone say it shoiuld be 10 or 12 calories times your goal weight??Or the weight you are now??

My family has entered a VERY stressful time -ball season.I know it seems silly(Harley understands)but our lives are turned upside down.DS9 is on a tournament team that DH coaches and DS11 is on one plus plays regular league.DD8 wants to play soccer and Rachel will be drug from place to place.Example-tonight DS9 has practice 30 minutes in one direction and DS11 has practice at the same time in the opposite direction. At the same time DD8 is singing at school.Just about every night is like this.AAAGGH! Sorry to vent just feeling tired.I have to PLAN,PLAN,PLAN...that is where I went wrong this week.

Kids are home ...OH!!WOOOOHOOTY on all the posts counts beeing made.:cheer2:

Bee,tell Grummpythreadhunk we MISS him!!

Pigget, forgot to say that I hope your head feels better soon.I had migraines when I was pregnant

I can't believe I have never heard of the tongue thing. I am having the MRI done tomorrow at 4:00 at Wesley. I will see the Neurologist on Monday at 1:30. Who is your DS's doctor? I hope your head gets better. I hate having a migraine - I usually have to go to bed when I get one. Get some rest tonight.

Christine - There were 2 days during our trip that we did 3 parks. It was tiring, but fun. You aren't going to AK? If you have not seen the new Nemo show at AK, it is worth the trip - just get there early, the show gets packed. We only say the first 10 minutes, then they cancelled the rest of it. :confused3 We never did make it back. But it was already one of the best shows in any of the parks. I can't wait to see the whole thing. I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet - sending DH out to check now.

Heather - love the baby ticker. Excellent idea. Although, I hate to tell you this, but right now your baby looks a little like that thing in the movie Alien! :rotfl: Don't worry though, I am sure he will start looking more like you soon. Yes, I have decided you are having a boy.

good afternoon everyone!!

Happy Birthday Sandy:cool1: :cutie:  :cloud9: :dance3: :bride: :cheer2: :flower3: :grouphug: that should cover it...

unfortuantely Mayson did not sleep through the night last night so i am exhausted ... but wanted to jump on and say "Hi' now i am gonna go take a nap. tonight is my mom's 57th b-day so as a family (which never happens)we are going to TGIF Friday's and then having cake at her house (but luckily it has strawberry filling and i am allergic so that will be no temptation for me)so if i am not to exhausted ,, i will try to catch up a lil later.:grouphug:

10-12 times your goal weight. I have heard the 12 recently, but I use the 10 most of the time because it is easier to remember and/or adjust if I want to change my goal weight based on how I'm progressing. I had said that I shoot for somewhere in between 1200 and 1800 calories. (My current goal weight is 160-170 lbs.) I don't want to go too low on the calories so I don't go into starvation mode, but I have a lot to lose so I like to shoot a bit lower than the calories for my goal weight to help get me there a little quicker. It's not too hard for me to stay within those limits because I LIKE a lot of foods that are good for me, I stocked my kitchen with LOTS of those foods so I have choices and don't get bored, and I am often just preparing something for just myself, so I don't have to worry about what other people want to eat. DH is also supportive, so that helps a lot. Let me know if there's anyhting I can do to help. I have been successful with calorie counting before, which is why I am doing it this time. I'm happy to share. :)

Not quite the look I was going for, but hey--HE is what HE is :rotfl2: Keep speaking it is a boy--that is what I want. To me sooooooo much easier than girls. Now I love my girl, but she hit her teen years at 5 :confused3 . Good luck tomorrow--let us know how it goes.

A few years ago we did all 4 parks in 1 day. We had a rule--no shows and no parades. Everyone got to pick 1 thing that they could not miss. We started at MGM then to AK then to Epcot and monorail over to MK. Our last ride of the night was Splash Mt and guess what--as we were going through the fireworks began. Our big drop was to big fireworks. We had a great time. The day before we were at Typhoon Lagoon and my DD was the big kahuna for the day. The next day we went to BB for half the day and then started our 10 hour drive back home. My kids still talk about that trip. We had a great time. Have fun.

I can soooooo relate to that. Last night DH and DD didn't make it to my son's hockey game. I have to take him early so the coach can talk to them, and our captain was having chest pains. :scared1: He's only 14! EKG cam out fine, but still running tests. Anyway, DH called me while I was on the way to the hockey rink, and said that DD had a million reasons why she couldn't go last night. When I got home he said I think she is going through PMS early. She is 8 1/2! He said I don't think she is physically, but emotionally, YES! I have to agree with him. I don't think she knows what is going on, but there is something "posessing" her. :confused3 :rotfl: :rotfl2: Oh and I love your ticker idea! :thumbsup2

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOTY to Eeyore (once you get to 5,000!) and to Stacy for reaching 1,000!

Aries - the kids and I did all four parks on our last day in October. I would agree that it was exhausting, but we had a great time!

Hello Peeps!

I took Benadryl and had a nice 2 1/2 hr nap! The meds seem to be working and the shingles aren't as bad. ;) I plan on going to work tomorrow, but it's been nice to have 2 days off in a row!

Piggett...I LOVE your ticker! When wil DH get to see it?

DisneyJo...Sorry you didn't have enough snow to use your "sledges". I have over a foot here and it's still snowing...Can I send you some?!? :rotfl:

Spongie...Is Mayson still sick? Is that why he's not sleeping through the night? My DSis had a son who wouldn't sleep through the night and would come into her room to sleep with them. She ended up putting a sleeping bag on the floor with a pillow and told him if he woke up and came in, he could sleep there. After about a month, he stopped coming in and slept in his own bed. ;) Just a thought.

I think I will shower before DH comes home, as I am still in my jammies. I have spent the day reading, sleeping and relaxing. It's been nice.

This is sooo true! I swore when my daughters were 8/9 years old I could tell when they would be PMSing! It may not be a physical thing yet, but those hormones sure are working!!!

The past times that I have lost weight(except the time on WW) I have stayed around 1100 calories and then promptly gained it back.My goal weight is 135 lbs, I think so that would be 1350 calories a day.I have been trying to stay between 1200-1400 since I joined the PEEPS.I am about7-8 lbs from my goal so I think 1350 will work.I have never stayed at my goal weight for more than a week so I want to do this right. The Dr. says I am ruining my body with my weight fluctuating so drastically.Last summer I had to have my gall bladder out and this was probably the reason.Off to play chauffer(sp)...thanks for the prompt response.:goodvibes

Before I would invest in WW online, I would spend time on the Dottie's weight loss zone site...
