Happy Birthday EEyore!:cool1: :dance3:

I am stressed...auditors are here and asking accounting questions that I dont know the answer to...I feel very stupid...:sad2: wish I had a duh smilie to go here:headache: that'll do

I am not letting it get int he way of my eating tho...for the first time in forever I am not stress eating....more like the opposite.

sexylexy - I have not gone to the dr yet, I am gonna see if the calorie thing helps a bit first, I need to be sure I am giving this my all before I make excuses, but I will be going in a few weeks anyways to get a full blood workup and meet a new dr anyway, so I'll talk to her about it then.
hows armpit fart boy and smartgirlDD?

Utah - lay off the pooh: muffins today!!!

Did anyone watch Dr. Phil yesterday? It was on obese little boys and their parents. Dr. Phil said giving the 155 pound 4 year old a Twinkie as a reward for tasting a half a green bean is WRONG!!!! (Ya think???) My favorite quote was something like: "Why dont you just give the kid some booze and cigarettes, YOU'RE killing him with junk food!" The parent's were like: "I cant understand WHY you're so upset with me for giving my kid a cookie!" :sad2:

I cant even BUY junk because I'll eat it. The thing that kills me about my kids is if I buy say fruit snacks, they'll have 5 packettes each. JUST LIKE THEIR EXAMPLE: me!

sheesh - a twinkie for a green been??? what does she give him if he eats a whole serving? a choc cake? prolly the kid gets no exercise either...bad habits what that teaches and htats all, just bad habits!

Pigget Here's the link of the Running Club... wonder if they change their thread every month? :confused3 http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=16898947&posted=1#post16898947

Ten more posts till 5,000 Peeps...

UTM I saw that - crack junk food indeed - I am a bad mom - but I get a gold star for not buying twinkies!! However, even tho my kids are HUGE Picky eaters, they only eat one of stuff!!! :confused3 One twinkie, One fruit snack,, we throw away birthday cake, everyone will eat one, maybe two slices, then it sits in the fridge!! Seriously, we still have Christmas Chocolate Candy, and I'll bet if I look I'll find dd stash of Halloween Candy... and I remember when she cleaned up behind the couch she found her Easter basket, still had jelly beans (and I buy their favorite brand, the skittles jelly beans - no licorice!!) I do stress the food groups, and remind them, how many fruits and veggies have you had today? (usually only one, and then they chose an apple, or carrots for a snack...)

I'm almost like that - like I said I go in spurts... I talk myself out of the 2nd (or 3rd...) bite - every now and then I find my stash - and often I'll take a bite before tossing!!

I'm trying to get ready to present DD class with an Art Lesson on Portraits - next we get to take the field trip to the Art Institute!!

(TV just mention an advancement in hearing aides - great, after we spent $7,000 last summer!! :sad2: )

Sandy, my post count says we are at 6324 (I think). So in about 700 posts we will be at 7,000. But 5,000 was close!:lmao:

That is okay, it is your birthday and you should not do math on your birthday!

Right now I am watching the 20 Greatest Videos of the 80's on VH1. I love the 80's. I predict that "Thriller" will be number 1. I hope Duran Duran is in the top 5!

Okay my next post will be number 1,000!!!!! Everyone wait for it....Hold the confetti! I am going to try and say something profound!

Wooooo Hoooooty!!! 10 more Posts and YOU will be at 5000!!!!

Remember: The first bite is as good as the last bite! So when you are craving something take a bite, don't eat the whole thing.

You know what else I learned, you know how dark chocolate is good for you. If you drink it with milk, the milk cancels out the good stuff! Weird huh?

Okay, now for my bad news. Hospital called and our insurance said MRI would have to be applied to some $1500 deductible. So we have to pay $1400 for this MRI. We just spent a couple hundred yesterday at ER. :scared: This is not cool. You know...my hip is not hurting as bad today....

WOOOOHOOOOTY! 1,000 POSTS!

Hospitals will work with you! I know I had to have the spinal fusion surgery and I had LOTS of bills... they worked with me and even lowered some of the charges!!

You need to have the MRI- putting off is only going to prolong the problem!!!

WOOOOHOOOOTY! 1,000 POSTS!

WOOOOO HOOOOOTY you have a 1000 posts. How is it going at home today? I have a horrible headache and can't take my normal meds :rolleyes1 Well I do not know yet if I can still take it. It probably does not help that I have had no caffiene in 2 days.

I will find out surgery time later this afternoon. They try to do the younger kids first so we will see. Have a good one.

Thanks Bee. I just talked to the church where I work. They changed the deductibles to lower the cost of insurance. So they will pay $1,000 of the deductible. Whew, God is good. I know better than to panic before prayer! So tomorrow I will just have to pay $144 because the hospital will give us a20% discount when we pay the whole amount. What a relief!

I think I just came up with a way to tell DH. I will add another ticker on the DIS. I will have to take one off then add it back. That is what I am going to do. Need to go find one now. Will be back soon.

My little man has had an ear infection since Thanksgiving. He has been on 5 different anibiotics since Dec. 10th. They are putting in tubes and taking out adnoids. They may even clip his tongue (it doesn't go out all the way and looks like a snake tongue when he tries to poke it out) The Dr. will let us know today.

I am at work. I go through spells of bad headaches--can last for several weeks. I use to be on immitrex shots, but I really do not like the side effects. Last year I was getting 3 to 4 migraines a week. Some would last for the day and others would last days. I do not drink a lot of soda. I am about to take some non asprin and some flavored water. I have had this one since yesterday morning and I thought it would rain, but it hasn't. Oh Well.

You will get the MRI --right? Where are you having it done? I have had it done at Southern Bone and at Hattiesburg Clinic. Depending on where you have it they will work with you. I called around to get different prices back in November and they were all pretty close as far as cost go. When is it scheduled for?

My eldest DD was tongue tied and had to have it cut, it can be hereditary (sp) my dad & I are both half tongue tied! Her op was very simple and they said if she hadn't had it done (she was about 3 months) it could have affected her speach. Apparently if they notice it at birth they can release the tongue with no need for an op so as soon as little DD was born I was yelling check her tongue. :rotfl2: they must have thought I was mad, as it turned out she was fine but it's worth remembering with your next baby!

Whoooo Hoooooty to Eeyore & Stacey

I noticed it as soon as he was born, but really did not say anything until our 2 wk checkup. They suggested the wait and see. It has extedended a little. My DH had to have his clipped as well.

That kind of reminds me of something I did to my nephew, AKA, Whiner. He was about 2 and refused to eat carrots (or any veggie). Well, the rule was you eat your carrots, you get a lollipop. The other kids ate their carrots, got their candy, and we off playing. But not Whiner! So, I tricked him! I put the carrot on a lollipop stick and told him that it was candy. He took one lick and gave me that ESAD look. So I told him the candy was inside the carrot. He took off a bite, chewed and chewed, and realized he had just been duped! But, he was proud of himself for eating the carrot, and so was I! He did eat all of them and got some candy. And now guess what? He loves carrots! :goodvibes But a twinkie for a green bean? Shesh! :scared:
