Morning Peeps! My my, but you all were busy yesterday! No time to catch up, so to all our new recruits, hope everyone is having a healthy week, and hugs to all for the challenges before us!

I can't say enough about the diet I've been on: I call it Feel Too Lousy to Eat! The antibiotic I've been on makes my tummy feel all full and not-so-happy, so I've pretty much been eating vegetable soup for a week. Shoot, I'll take it! The trick will be maintaining the weight it's gotten me to and trying to lose a few more pounds.

My goals for the week:
*No glass of wine with dinner - that's 100 calories saved each time!
*Now that my congestion's clearing, yoga or a mild walk each day
*More veggies, more veggies, more veggies!

Have a Skinnie Monday!
Good Luck. Nice new pic BTW. You and your son are very cute

Thanks for sharing! What is you name in the real world (if you don't mind me asking)? And just curious - but what part of Wisconisn are you from? By DBF grew up in Mukwanago.
could you spell the name of Mukwanago phoenetically(sp?)

Ok, my name is Kristi
I am 35
Married 12 years
Have 3 children, Adam 9, Holly 7 and Nicholas 7
I have been back to work since July, working different temp assignments. I have an MBA and most of my experience is in accounting, mainly payroll. I realized that I needed to get my career going again after I won the volunteer of the year award at my children's school. I volunteered over 500 hours. Geez! If I had been working all that time, I could have bought some DVC points! Oh well, I've done my good deeds, and at least have some good karma points.

My goal is to lose 5 lbs......and keep repeating that goal 25 times!
lose 5 lbs 25 times...that is funny. Welcome

hEY mELINDA i THOUGHT fIFTY IS THE NEW 28 HEY NOW???????
I guess that means I am 16..bad news is a year from now I will break my knee cap all over again :scared:

Feb 15th 1969 (great year btw)

Hi everyone,
Here is my bio for everyone to read and enjoy (as well as a pic). I'm 26, born and raised in south florida, 3 hours from WDW (2 1/2 if I'm driving). I'm a graduate student, full time, don't work, studying speech and language pathology. If all goes as planned, I'll have me degree in April of 08. Before returning to school, I was a junior high english teacher at a small catholic school. I live at home to save $$$$, with my mom and my wonderful pup, Phoebe, a standard poodle. And in 2002, I took part in the WDW College Program. Best 7 months of my life - no joke. I worked at Epcot as an Attractions Hostess at The Wonders of Life.

I've been the chubby kid all my life, but now I wish I could go back to that size. Isn't that always the way? You think you're huge until you look back and realize you really weren't that huge? My senior year of high school, my mom and I joined WW and I did awesome. By graduation time, I had hit goal and was thinner than I had ever imagined I could be. I ended up losing about 30 lbs. Then I went to college in Indiana. Gradually, I started to gain all my weight back until eventually my senior year of college I had gained it all back plus about 10 lbs. This is also the time that I started to binge a lot. I think stress about everything and all the freedom I had played a big part in it. Plus my roommate was bulimic (although she'd never admit it) and I sort of envied her because she was thin so I guess I thought in some weird way that if I did bad things to my body I would get thin? Anyway, my bingeing got progressively worse even though I did have a few successes like losing 10 lbs only to gain most of it back and start all over, etc. Even still, this past year and a half were really bad and I'm at my absolute highest weight right now. A good 40 lbs over my high school weight pre-WW. So that's that. I'm doing WW now online only. My first weigh in will be on Wednesday and I'm hoping to see some results. I'm a huge player in the all or nothing philosophy so if I have one bite of something I shouldn't have, I will just go nuts and eat everything in sight instead of just accepting it and moving on. Gotta work on that. So that is me. I got a little long-winded. Hope that's ok. Clearly this has been and will always be a struggle for me so when I get going talking about it, it's hard to stop. My pic is below. I guess I look the same although my hair is much shorter now, just above my shoulders. I'm in the process of growing it back out now. Sorry if it's gigantic - I tried to resize it best I could. Oh and I swear I'm not a demon (i.e. the red eyes). I swear I have the world's largest pupils and they are always like that in pics.

Later Peeps!
*Shannon

ShannonMatch.jpg
Hi shannon welcome. Nice pic. Very pretty girl. I know you can do this ...these are great folks here.
Ok, I guess it is finally time to introduce myself. My name is Allie. I live in AL, but I grew up outside of Atlanta. My parents still live in the house I grew up in. It was a great place to live, but the Olympics showed the world what a great town it was, and they ALL decided to move there! DH's family lives close by, so this was a good move for us. A smaller town to raise our kids in.

I am 38 years old and have been married to DH for 17 years. I have a DS (13) and DD (8 1/2 and she'll tell you that). I also have two dogs, Shadow and Trixie, (you should remember Trixie from the car locking incident). I am a helper at my church's preschool program. I help the 4 year old class. I help the kids go potty, do crafts, etc. I love this job! It is only 4 hours a day, three days a week. It is a perfect part time job. I am also the 4 year old Sunday school teacher.

I did WW when DD was about one. I lost 28 lbs., and became a lifetime member. Well I have gained that weight back, lost it again, and gained it again plus some. I know what I need to do. I just lack the motivation to do it. I was a skinny minnie growing up. My grandfather used to tell me that I would only need two dr's growing up, a skin doctor and a bone doctor. Well, that isn't the case now. You have all been an inspiration to me. I am not perfect, but I am trying. I know I don't have as much weight to lose as some, but I am struggling right along with you. We can do this together.

Oh, I know some of y'all wrote what you liked to watch on TV. Well, I have Tivo (love that invention), and I watch a lot of reality shows. I love Survivor, Amazing Race, Apprentice (although this new one isn't that great IMO), and American Idol. I also watch ER, Two and a Half Men, Cold Case, CSI (the original one), and anything on Court TV. I also LOVE the Dog Whisperer. I strive to be the leader of my Pack. I don't think Cesar would be to happy with me since my dog locked me out of my car. DH and I went to go see him in person last year. He is AMAZING!

I enjoy watching my kids play in their sports. DS is a hockey player. I LOVE HOCKEY!!!! Jaromir Jagr would be my freebie!

DD is a softball player. Her season is about to start up. Can't wait to see how much she has improved over last year. I am also a room mom for DD's class at school. I volunteer there in my spare time.

I have enjoyed getting to know the rest of you PEEPS! Please help me stay on the wagon.

Oh just an interesting tidbit, my best friend in the whole world has my very same birthday! I met her here in AL, and our kids are the same age, and we are so much alike. Well, at least I won't have to turn 40 alone! We can do it together! Maybe we could come to the Peep meet together? Although she doesn't DIS, she is very understanding of my addiction!

Ok, I guess this has gone long enough. I also love to talk! Can ya' tell?
Hi Allie nice to meet you. I am almost 38 have dd 12 going on 29 and DD 10 going on18...my dw is BEE we have been married almost 17 years.
Hi Brigette!!!! Colon BLOw...Always cracks me up!!:rotfl2: Yor story moved me... and I agree, why did I think I was fat in highschool?....(because my mom always made me feel fat) I so should be over this by now... For the sake of our savior... I am ALMOST 40 !! (ok back to regular scheduled not complaining post)

We are just checking out that day.. still going to the parks!! Maybe a minature peep meet!:cool1

Beautiful!!!

I agree I have a 12 year old going on 20 and a 10 year old going on 15!! Never know when they are gonna BLOW!!!

Oh, and did I mention... Grumpy left today to teach the fine arts of selling services in Kiosks around the country..
Wont be back till Feb 11th!!

Hi Grumpy!!:love2: :wave2:
:lovestruc :hyper2: :love2: :flower3:

OMG! We will SO miss Grumpy!!! Thats so long!...poor Bee
They like me They really like me !!!
Yay! I was so upset!

Boo-Yah! remember the 7 P's girlfriend

Its the truth! you're so pretty!!! hey if we have trouble finding a place to stay at the world for our Peep Meet we'll just crash yoru place kay? you and Princess V are neighbors!
:surfweb:

Oh, Bee, I am SO with you on this!!!!!!!!!!!! When I visited my daughter, I had to remember to request UNsweet tea. A few years ago on my way to Disney, my friend and I stopped at ChikFilA for lunch and I ordered tea before I realized it was necessary to specify. That was NOT a pleasant surprise! :sad2:

Wow, Grumpy is going to be away for a long time. Hope you and the girls have some fun while he's away! I always have a little trouble sleeping when my DH is out of town.

Thought I'd share with the Peeps here that I dug up my old WW materials tonight to see what my points were back in summer 2003. I was right, they were 4 points lower then - and I weigh pretty much the same as when I lost 31 pounds in 21 weeks. So it looks like breaking the total I need to lose into 30 pound interim goals was a good move.
This same "tea" experience happened to me in Brookfield MO with Bee's best friend. It was 100 degrees and 100 % humidity and they asked if I would like some tea and I said oh yes pleaaaaaasssse. Took one swallow and gagged. Thanks for th warning Bee

Bee-
How cute! You and Grumpydude are gonna have a long distance romance fo a few weeks  . Sleep smack dab in the middle of the bed and HOG all the covers! :cloud9: NO SNORRING (assuming he does) to keep you awake! I swear, after 10 years of marriage, you'd think I'd be used to it. NOPE. I think of ways to "silence" him for a few hours. No computers in the Utah Women's Prison so I wont take it too far ;) . I want a set of Bose silencing head phones or my own room. :scared1:

Does ANY one know what an "8 Cow Wife" is? It's a Johnny Lingo reference. My very best favorite movie! Share a chuckle with me if you DO know!

I am sooooo sure!!!!!
Grumpy should be along soon.:thumbsup2 He just signed onto his computer...

Hi honey!! The girls were missing you!!

:surfweb: :wave2:

I can NOT wait to make the soda cake! I'm wondering if we can reduce the point value by adding "Benefiber" or simalar fiber product? Right now a serving size is 1/12th of the cake at 150 calories (my generic chocolate cake mix) which is 3 WW points. I'm goin to try it, unless anyone already has and it was unfavorable!

YAY!!!! Chocolate!!!!! :cloud9: I "needs me" some chocolate to tide me over till the Girl Scout Sugar Free brownie bites come in!:rolleyes1

As we forgive those who code talk against us.

Lead us not into calories,

And deliver us from fat grams,

In the name of Bob Greene, Jenny Craig, and The holy Weight Watchers, amen

You might could add 2 TBSP of the flax seed meal to it. That would boost the fiber count which might lower the WW points. The higher the fiber the lower the points. ;)

Ok that is soooooo funny! :rotfl2: :rotfl: Glad you made it on notsogrumpythreadhunkdude! Wow you have to be gone from Bee and the girls for such a long time!

WooooHooooty for the 100th post!

I have three interviews this week.. the Paypal one is Wednesday, that is the one where I would work 3 days off 4.. but the benefits.. OMG less expensive than Grumpy's and after you work at Paypal for 5 yrs you get a 4 wk in a row sabbitcal..(Europe, Disney, umm the possibilities)

In our newspaper's travel section, they mentioned a group that toured all the Disney parks in one trip. Wouldn't that be the coolest way to spend a sabbatical?

YEA, Twinkie is going to WDW again! Yours was the first TR I ever read. I am still waiting to find out if you ever ate in the castle? Where are you staying?

Lynda - Loved your pics. You must have a great camera. Your Disney pics are beautiful!

I'm with Stacey. Twinkie totally got me hooked on TRs!!!

My goal for the week is to drink not more than one soft drink a day. I've been "drinking my calories" as they say - such a waste of all the exercise effort - plus just bad for me.

I also am going to walk on the treadmill three more days a week than I have been.

I can't make more changes than that in one week, but I'm getting close to a big trip - less than eight weeks - not to Disney :confused3 ! But I'm pretty sure will be great anyway!!

Plus hopefully all of this will help me get ready for Disney in May - Lynda, I know you asked - the 20th thru the 25th. Seems like I noticed your dates and we overlap? I'll definitely have to "keep an eye out" for you!! I really enjoyed looking at your pics. I've been trying to get both my prints and digital pics organized - very slow process...

I think the most important thing I've learned is to not start over tomorrow when you mess up the diet/exercise thing... start over now. If you ate something you shouldn't - go walk and eat good things the rest of the day. And don't give up - no matter how many times we make the bad choice we're making lots more good choices than we were before!

Just wanted to share two yummy things I ate today:

1) Panko bread crumbs. They are like Japanese bread crumbs and a little goes a very long way. I believe a half a cup is 100 cal. My mom lightly breaded 2 cod fillets with less than 1/2 C. for dinner and it was YUM-O! Almost fried even, but without any butter, oil, and all the calories and fat!

2) Guiltless Gourmet single serve microwaveable cakes. They have 3 flavors - I had the brownie with fudge sauce. 200 cal or 4 WW points. I remember reading about them a couple months ago in WW magazine but just now saw them in my Publix (grocery store) over the weekend. I wouldn't want them around all the time but if you're craving cake, this would do it. It did it for me!

Nighty-night peeps!

I am a 10 cow wife as darling husband puts it .Mohanna you are ugly ! of course i know Utahmama

I love the bios and pictures. The more I get to know you peeps, the more I  you all. I also find lots of similarities between us. It IS a small world, after all!

My friend brought me homemade English toffee today. I bagged it, brought it home, and measured a piece before I ate it (3/4 oz. 3 pts. I think:confused3 ). That was a major accomplishment for me.

I have another reason to get this weight off now. DH just told me he's taking me to see my pseudo-freebie (we don't do the freebie thing because we love each other so much, plus what if you had a gas attack with a celebrity?) for my birthday. We're going to Reno to see the Who, and I've had a total crush on the lead singer, Roger Daltrey, for 31 years. So I have to look fabulous in case he spots me in row 100.

I know it's Tuesday for many of you, so have a great Tuesday.
