I kinda skimmed over the weekend posts. I'm not online over the weekend so it's impossible to completely catch up. :surfweb:

Hey, I made those choc. muffins with the bran cereal and the brownie mix. Those are fantastic! Thanks to wherever or whoever that recipe came from! :thumbsup2

This week:
1. drink more water.
2. work out :cool1: :yay:
3. eat yummy bran brownie muffins
4. eat more veggies

This morning I worked out with Gilad at 5 a.m. on Fit TV. Sometimes he has his mom on there working out with him. So cute.

2. No Pepsi! (Would it be terrible if I treat myself to one can of Pepsi on the weekend?)

4. Actually turn on and use the treadmill, instead of just dusting it.

For me it wouldn't be dusting the treadmill, it'd be using it as a place to hang up clothes.

And I think one Pepsi on the weeked is ok if you "budget" it into your day. At least in the beginning. You can't go from all or nothing overnight. That's my thinking anyway.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Last night I wasn't so good to me. Remember in an earlier post I mentioned the brownie contest and how I had lots of mix-ins and stuff around the house? Well, my one bite of brownie that I allowed myself to taste because it was a new recipe turned into me eating way more than I would have liked. I didn't even bother counting the points for it because I knew that I used up all the days points and the rest of my flex points yesterday. BUT, today is a new day and I'm not going to let last night continue into today.

Could someone fill me in on the flaxseed oil or whatever it is? I REALLY don't have the time to go back through 300 pages to look LOL.

Oh, and I'm going to run that chocolate chip cookie recipe through the recipe builder today and get back to everyone on the points values. I know I'm really curious.

My Goals This Week:
1. Drink all of my water every day.
2. Try really hard not to dip into any of my flex points until this Weekend at WDW!
3. No visiting the vending machines while at the school/clinic, except to say hello and see how they're doing.
4. Measure everything I put in my mouth for accountability and accurate points.

Hey again everyone! I made sure I had the correct recipe for the tollhouse chocolate chip cookies. It's as follows:

2 sticks butter
2 1/4 C. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3/4 C. Splenda for baking
3/4 C. brown sugar Splenda
12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Total WW Points = 2 per cookie (if you make 5 dozen).

Not too bad. I wouldn't make them all the time, but if I really wanted to bake and treat myself, these would definitely do it!

I wonder if you could make it even lighter by cutting out an egg and using applesauce, or does that only work with oil? Not sure. Or egg beaters instead of an egg? Hmmm....

Lynda - Loved your pics. You must have a great camera. Your Disney pics are beautiful! We went to Door County when I was in high school. I would love to go back.

Thank you, thank you! :) I have 2 Canon Digital SLR cameras, and I love them! I got the first one in May '05, so the pictures from before that were taken with other digital cameras, both mine and my mom's. I LOVED Door County! We are really hoping to go back this year! It has been too long, but I guess you can probably tell we have been going to WDW a LOT since we stopped going to Door County. :rotfl: So, it's hard to find the time. We are working on it though. :)


I know that I quoted more than that, but it's not here! Maybe I took too long to hit reply, but now I don't remember what they were. I DO remember that I wanted to mention to the Japanese food-eating pooers(:laughing: ) that I have issues like that if I eat food my body isn't used to & also sometimes with Chinese/Japanese food. I swear there is something in it that has laxative properties! :rotfl:

I would (and have) alter this recipe like this (substitutions in parentheses):

2 sticks butter (use Smart Balance, 1/2 lb. tub regular not light, butter is too much saturated fat)
2 1/4 C. all purpose flour (use whole wheat pastry flour)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt (I would omit this)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3/4 C. Splenda for baking (use regular Splenda, baking has 1/2 reg sugar)
3/4 C. brown sugar Splenda (use 1/2 this amount since br. sugar Splenda is twice as potent)
12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips (use 6 oz. mini semi-sweet choc chips)

Just my .02

I bake with Smart Balance all the time. It has Omega-3 fats, also some other good stuff, sorry I should check the label for the technical mumbo jumbo but I'm at work. I use it in banana bread, apple crisp, brownies, etc. Just remember, don't use the light version, it won't work right. I think there's more air and water whipped into the light version.

Maybe it is just new ab muscle from all the heavin'...just trying to make you feel better! I am sorry for you...that is a crappy thing to happen on top of being sick!

And as for the bio - just do a regular post and tell us about yourself and include a picture too...

Oh, and I found two more new names - mlil and Cinderella slippers. If there are any other new people who I haven't gotten to in my catching up - please feel free to post a bio too!!! :yay:
