Hi everyone,Im new here and would love to join you guys.

here is my story,I also posted it on the main board but I really would like to somehow get in with a supportive group in one main spot.

Hi everyone,
I am new to the WISH board and I am looking to all you experienced wish'ers for some advice, recommendations and encouragement.

I am looking to lose 75-100 pounds. I have lost weight in the past,99 lbs to be exact. I traveled to China to adopt our first daughter and upon coming home 2 weeks later found out that I was 2 1/2 months pregnant,so in one year we had 2 beautiful girls .I never made it to the 100 mark, and started gaining weight once home from China . I have since had my daughter who is now 1 and now weigh more than
when i was 9 months pregnant with her.

I only had gained 21 pounds with her and she weighed 11 pounds at birth but steadily over the past 9 or 10 months I have continued to gain more and more weight.
I am not shocked as to how it happened,I take full accountability for eating all those animal crackers, pretzels, pancakes etc. etc alongside my two girls but I need to stop and change now.
I want to be around for my girls and to be able to teach them the right way to eat.

I really dont have the time or money to do ww or programs like jenny craig.

When I lost the weight the first time,I had found out I was sensitive to gluten and stopped eating wheat etc, But after the pregnancy,my hormones changed something internally and I was able to eat them again, hip hip hooray but man I was like a kid in a candy store, eating all the things I hadnt eaten in the past 2 years.

I am looking for some suggestions on a easy weight loss plan to follow.
I dont really like to cook, unfortunately my specialty is kid-friendly desserts so thats not a help in the weight loss area but I want something that is quick and requires few ingredients to use.

I would love ideas on healthy things that I could just eat the same for brkfst and lunchtime and then make an easy dinner.
I thought of a liquid diet, like the shakes or something but I know in my heart of hearts, they probably arent good for you

any suggestions and what do you moms do out there when your kids are snacking,do you eat with them, does it bother you to have those things in the house.
I dont want to get rid of the animal crackers, etc because the kids eat them and I dont have oreos or anything like that here but the animal crackers ,pretzels etc are pretty tempting as well.

can anyone help?
Im sorry I rambled, I just wanted to give you a good honest perspective on where I am on this journey
Thanks in advance
Marcy

--I've been giving it some thought tonight after celebrating my sisters birthday tonight with lemon meringue pie and feeling disgusted with myself afterwards that tomorrow I am starting anything...healthy,thats it,Im ready.

My immediate goals are to drink lots more water
eat less junky carbs like the animal crackers, pretzels
and cook a little more-possibly fish
I used to eat a fish called basa,so I might just go buy some of that to make the family tomorrow for dinner

Long term goals are to lose 75-100 pounds
be able to put on a bathing suit and feel proud with it on
and to really be good at a sport/exercise

Thanks for letting me post and I hope I can join you guys

Welcome!!! You are in the right place. We are here for you!! I think one thing that you can do... is when you buy things at the store.. when you get home.. clean them and get them ready to eat.. like broccoli, carrots etc.

Then when you are hungry it becomes an easy snack... We bought a george foreman grill and I will grill several chicken breasts .. then all I have to do is reheat and eat... easy peasy!!!

Look at my siggie--- I have a lot of weight to lose... so consider me in it with you!!!!

A little somethin'? I'm PMing you my address because I LOVE getting mail. But could someone fill me in on what the little somethin' is? Is it like one of the exchanges on the community boards? Thanks!

*Shannon

From what I understand... it is something we will love... but it is a secret!!!

Satcey you look great and I think no matter what the scale says...you look lighter!!!! The magic of Disney and some good ole pixie dust! Rest well!

Stacey it is amazing that some of the male mebers here their unmentionables can walk themsleves to the washer makiing what it sounds like crying sounds!!!
Thanks Fidge! Traveling is never good on my system. Glad to be home with my own bathroom and my own bed. I should look and feel at least 3 pounds lighter tomorrow! I had to force my DS into the tub tonight - his aroma did not bother him at all!

:lmao: Hey I just snorted my coke on that one!:rotfl2:
OMG!!! Not how I meant that to sound. I mean I laughed and cola came out my nose.
Actually not sure that sounds better than before ew...

Yes drinking and dising do not mix!

Drive yourself to your local supermarket, or better yet one in the next county, find the produce department and locate the produce scale. If it's too high position your cart underneath the scale, and then climb inside the cart. Place one or both "girls" on the scale and voila! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

We ended up having company tonight. I am double exhausted. Should I feel guilty about actually considering a Disney trip without kids? Just Dh and I, no whining, complaining, begging... Maybe one day and we will stay at the Grand Floridian.

Bee - When are you going to Disney? I can help you with all your dining plans - I have done extensive research!

Welcome! I just started here today too!

Stacey, glad your back and can't wait to hear more about your trip.:goodvibes DH and I will be doing an adult only trip when we go in January for the 5k/dismeet.

Marcy, jump on this wagon with us and hang on tight! Lots of different diets are being used here but WW is great if you can manage to join.I am trying to only eat healthy foods(I like the list I got from thebestlife diet on Oprah's web site) and exercise. My dad lost over 100 lbs on WW.

Bee,Take a picture when Grumpyyoungguy goes to the store to weigh!!:rotfl:

UM,,is it really to late for a snack??What if we stay up REALLY late??:confused3

Unfortunately my :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc don't require weighing but if I wanted to a food scale would probably work-there's not much left.:sad2:

So far we are scheduled for 9/24 to 9/28... I have to get a job.. I have 3 interviews this week... so, if all goes well this when.

Hoping for free dining, last time we paid for it. We want prime time cafe and whispering canyon for sure.. maybe Le Cellier.... last time we had Hoop De Doo, CRT and Chef Mickey's. oh also we ate at Mexico at San Angel Inn.

Welcome to all the newbies. Great to have you here! We all use whatever method we hope will work best for us. After things plateau some peeps switch things up a bit to get a jump start. I am counting calories...Have tried other methods, but decided to go old school. I've lost 15 lbs in 2 months...and those two months included Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and my birthday! Lots of support on this thread!

Oh my! Now we are weighing body parts. :scared1:

I had to go back a few pages to catch up because I couldn't figure out why weighing your babies in a produce scale was such a big deal, I mean I used to do it on a weekly basis....... and why in the world is UMama feeling dirty?

Now, I'm trying to come up with other methods for weighing said parts.

Welcome New Peeps!

Marcy... I hear ya! Boy have I been there! I gained alot with my pregnancies and didnt really lose much afterward even though I nursed exclusively.

I cant have those snacks in my house at all. I dont buy them for my kids even. I will eat them If I have them so I have to set up "an environment for success". I can binge on carrots if I want!

We all are doing different diets yet we do alot of things the same. We seem to be merging into our own groove. They all have a couple things in common:

Eating Less and
Moving More

That's it! We all have the water thing in common. And vitamins (most of us)

Lately there's interest in Bob Green's new Book something about BEST LIFE.
You can do it! Just focus on 5 pounds at a time, little goals. It's much less daunting than the big number.

Just dont give up. We're such a good group :grouphug:

Snowwite!!!!!! I love your groundhog animation! He's so cute!
I'm really glad you joined us too!

Wonders10- WELCOME!!!!! Glad you came too, too!!!

Good luck at the interviews Bee! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Thank you honey!!! I am praying... Wednesday I have an interview at Paypal... they wanted to know if I would work Sat, Sun and Mon from 8am to 9pm.. then have the rest of the week off... at first I was like NO.. but I have been thinking.. maybe that would not be so bad... Maybe, I am putting the cart before the horse.. they have to give me the job first.

ya know Pixie... I like you!!! I really like you...:rotfl2: :thumbsup2

No, I'm not at work! But thank goodness that I finally have a job that allows me to get my priorities back in order. I feel like I have missed so much. I'm glad to see the focking is still going strong. :thumbsup2 Did GMax ever bring sexy back?

WISH Peeps: Keep the funnies coming! Laughing burns lots of calories. Plus when you snort your coke you have to go get something to clean it up which gets you moving.:yay:
