I stayed the same. Which is pretty awesome as I have been eating fast food and chocolate! I'll be back on board next week after DDs surgery is over.

also glad I stayed the same (not really, but I've got to believe, I know I had wine, chinese food, and yes CHOCOLATE!!! :sad:

This is one weekend in a hotel with my parents (who I dont see but may for only 3 - 4 days every other year - when they come north for the summer!!)

ITS BELOW ZERO!!

but the sun will be shining tomorrow!!
 

But I did want to say one thing...I walked /jogged 3.1 miles in 44 minutes!!!Jan.08 here I come!!My problem is that I don't know if I can make the 5k in 45 min w/o jogging.My legs are really short.Saturday I am going to try though.The first day I tried to jog I made it only one minute.Tonight I was able to jog for 5 min increments.I have accomplished something!Thank you for listening,noone here was too impressed.:goodvibes

LOL, I'm having the same fear - us girls with a short stride have to move twice as fast to go the same distance! Right now, I'm at about a 16 minute mile combining 5 minutes warm up, 5 minutes total jogging and the rest walking a brisk pace. We may need to team up in the 5K to insert some jogging here and there!
 
Down 1 lb this week for a total of 3 so far!:banana:

Yesterday I was down 2, but I also hadn't eaten more than soup and yogurt for 3 days, so it was bound to come back up, right?! :rolleyes:
 
Okay, I am home because when I got to work Ray (rachel) felt warm and when I took her temp it was 102.5.:sad1: She was up during the night crying with her ear so I guess it is infected.She is already on an antibiotic so I guess there is nothing more I can do.I feel awful for her and she looks like she is waisting away to nothing.:sick:

I am going back to catch up and post more in a min.

:yay: Exercising and :hippie: eating more healthy sure have been doing wonders for my mood. :cutie: I am soooo glad I live so close to work now... my 1 1/2 hour commute time :drive: has become gym time. :yay: Of course, I couldn't do it as easily if DD was still little. Hats off to all the Moms who find a way.

:cool1: I have a happy story... tonight at the gym, a total stranger walked up to me while I was doing my bicep curls. She introduced herself, said she'd been coming 3 weeks and had seen me and HAD SEEN A DIFFERENCE OVER THE LAST 3 WEEKS. :yay: She asked me how much I had lost and what I was doing... I bet she has no idea just how great she made me feel!:blush:

And of course I saw Jay-the-trainer-dude... too bad his treadmill was beside mine instead of in front of it... :rolleyes1

That is the best feeling in the world...we are soo proud of you.

She's doing better, thanks to the antibiotics. She's hiring a new lady to take care of her, one who has medical training. Great. right? The lady she's hiring is 75 years old! Whatever, Mom! I'm just trying to make peace with her nuttiness. She's not senile or anything, she just has a really weird idea of what she needs when it comes to taking care of her.

I talked to Harley and I was thinking that in the 5k we have to maintain a 15 min mile but she said that as long as we do it in under an hour we will be fine.If some of us want to jog some ,it will be fine with me too.I don't care as long as we are with our peeps.:)

Everyone- lets work on a habit that is our diet killer this week. Whatever it is, focus on one bad habit. For me its hard to pick just one :thumbsup2 I think I'll do the no eating 2 hours before bed. That seems to be a big sabbotager for me.

It's been very cold lately all across the U.S. and our bodies natural instincts is to hold on to those layers for insulation. I just calculated my average weight loss over the last 3 weeks, because last week wasn't so great and this week was much better, and if I keep this pace I'll be under my goal weight by my six months goal :banana: !!

Soory to hear Ray is still not doing well. Do you have anything for her ear besides the antibiotics? We did ear infections for years so feel like an expert in treating the pain-I'll share what worked for us. We put vitamin E drops (vitamin E gel caps, poke with a tac and drip in he ear) then put a cotton ball in to keep it from draining. Also, if you like homeopathic, we buy Earache Relief by Similasan. I buy that at King Soopers by the stuff for swimmers ear.

My goal for the week is to limit my sweets intake. It has been a bad week for eating sweets and my weight loss could have been more if not for that.
 
Dis - I think I lied to you:headache: ...after rereading the disney sports page I do see that we have to maintain a 15 min min pace...YIKES sorry I mislead you...bad harley.:sad1:

but I dont think that the pace requirements actually begin til after the last runner has crossed the start line...when it gets closer to time we may all need to kick it up a notch and try to squeeze in a few minutes of light jogging at a time 2-3 min at a time...we'll see as the yr progresses and our peeps get healthier...we might be just fine with walkiing the whole time (except you pixies princess: )

I am gonna try to limit my carbs this week to those found in natural foods...ie no lean cuisines, no "diet food", just real natural foods...salads egg whites, lean protein, basically south beach phase I - I have tried to do this for 2 wks now and failed horribly, but I really think this is my weightunloss issue...we'll see I'll take it one day at a time...that is after all how I got this big ...one day at a time..

but I so want to be skinny by summertime, and now I have a UGLY FAT beach pix of me to post in my kitchen to keep me away...everyone in the family ought to lose!:lmao:
