V.....you're looking rawther taggish today, dahling. Love it! Did you really squish your baby??? He looks fine to me. ;) RE: calories....I know you are a pixie princess but 1000 calories sounds kinda low to me. Take your goal weight and multiply times 12. That is roughly enough calories to get you where you're going.

"Pixie Princess" - I like that! Hey, if I calculate that way, I get an extra 260 a day. That's like another whole meal - well, a Lean Cuisine meal, anyway. Thanks, I'll give that a whirl! You know, what kills me is the range you can get trying to calculate how many calories you need a day. One site tells me 1800, another 1400, another 1200. :confused3 I've kind of figured it out through trial and error.
Princess V: Have you considered Weight Watchers? I'm a pixie princess too as Twinkie puts it (only 5 feet tall), and WW has seemed to work for me. I was always starving when I tried to do low calorie diets, but with WW I've learned what I can eat more of if I get hungry (0 pt. foods) and I still have enough energy to work out and not feel like I'm starving. It's definitely harder for us pixie princesses, I usually only lose 1 to 2 lbs. a week, but I'm starting to really notice a change in inches (clothes fitting better) and I don't feel hungry all the time like I used to. WW is a great way to teach yourself portion control and to curb your appetite (I totally used to eat as much or more than my 6'2" DH :confused3 )!
I've looked into WW, but it's never felt like the right fit for me. I'm pretty good with portion control and 99% of what I eat is good, healthy food. I think my problem stems from an insanely low metabolism. You wouldn't believe how quickly I can gain weight! But I am intrigued by the new online WW thing. I'm planning to take a look later this weekend.

Didn't do well yesterday...darn AF! :scared1: I need to find a way to not let it affect my eating the way it does! Since I crave both salt and sweet with AF visiting, does that mean I love to hate someone? :confused:

Also had 2 glasses of champagne left from New Years! Boy...it really wasn't a good day yesterday! :guilty:

Thursday's pooh: Muffins: (new name!)

(1 WW Point)

3C. "All Bran" cereal (buds or sticks)
2 1/2 C. water
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. vanilla
1 pkg. Krusteez Fat Free Brownie Mix (hard to find)

Soak the All Bran cereal in your mixer bowl (I use Kitchen Aid) for at least 10 mins.

Turn on mixer and mix mushy cereal well.

Add baking powder, vanilla, and brownie mix.

Spray muffin tins with Pam.
Fill each cup 1/2 way....makes 24 nice snack size muffins.

Bake in preheated oven 350* about 20-25 mins.

These muffins are very moist and only keep for a couple days.
 

1pt (WW) choc cupcakes

1 box devils food cake mix
12 oz can diet coke

Mix well - bake prolly at 350 for about 25-30 min or so (til toothpick comes out clean)

you can also use yellow cake mix and diet sprite, but its not as good

punkin cupcakes

spice cake mix
can shmashed punkin
1 egg (orr eggbeaters)

mix well and cook at about 350 for about 25-30 min...these have more cals of course, but are so yummy (my kids LOVE these) these are probably 3 pts each...
 
Wow! Everyone was very chatty last night! I went to bed early feeling sick and this morning I think I have an extra 5lbs of gunk in my head! So I'm now going back to bed untill carpool time.

I think the only cals in the choc cupcakes are the ones in the cake mix... so divide it by the number of cupcakes you make :confused3

I know why I was irritable the other day. I AM, in fact, PMSing! I had a break out on my chin & woke up throughout the wee hours of the morning this morning (at 3am, 4am, 5am...), which is a dead give-away that AFA is on her way. :(

Oh, and UM, my diet busters would have to be sweets (big-time!) and fatty things like cheeseburgers & pizza. There is a chocolate place here that is AMAZING! The women who owns it went to Belgium to train under some chocolate "master" there. Fortunately, it is expensive-ish & out of the way, so I don't get it that often, but when I do...OMGarsh! It is goooooooood! Would it be inappropriate to bring samples of it to the Peep meet in Jan '08? :rotfl: Truth be told, I really do like healthy foods. I just have to keep reminding myself some days. :laughing:

Diet sprite works well with the lemon cake mix

I also have used Diet Cherry Pepsi with different flavors

Diet Dr Pepper with Spice the combos are endless

I just cant believe it! I've been snacking on carrot coins (they come in the bag crinkle cut for the extra lazy...ME!)

Hey, I've only had 2 diet Pepsis today!!!!! Just to get rid of the headache! Maybe I'll only drink it when I get the headache? I wont change anything else and see what next friday's weigh in shows. Just a theory.

I'm feeling lots better today! I feel great, actually. I've been doing my hair and makeup and making an efort with my DH. He's such a good man! We just watched our recording of American Idol! Hooo Boy there's some un-talented kids out there! Poor things! I' get so embarrassed for the grossly untalented. I just love that Ryan Seacrest (sp?) He is so snarky and diva-y! I just want to hug himm too tightly and pinch his cheeks (face ones).:rolleyes:

I think it was from Melinda. Here is the recipe:


1 cup All Bran Extra Fiber +
1 cup Skim Milk +
2 Tablespoons Flax Seed Meal=
30 GRAMS OF FIBER and 250 calories


Should be good with the pooh: muffins. Watch out sewer system! :rotfl: :rotfl2:
