Hey Peeps,
First time checking in today. Tuesdays are nuts for me - I go from about 9:30 all the way to 9pm with school/clients/paperwork. I hate the real world. Tomorrow will be just as busy and Thursday will be busy as well until the evening. Then Friday I get to spend all day writing treatment plans and soap notes, but at least I can do all that from my home. I hate driving down to the clinic everyday.

Food-wise, I've been doing so-so. I've been watching what I'm eating but not writing it down. Also, I know that I've had a few extra bites of things here and there so I'm pretty sure I've maintained this week - no loss or gain. Actually my mom said she wanted to actually go back to WW and attend meetings so I decided I'd join her so I have some extra accountability and support in addition to all of you! We decided on Thursday nights. I'm scared to weigh myself there though because I know it will say more than my home scale and someone else will be seeing it, but hopefully having to report to someone in person will really help me stick with it.

Well tonight for dinner I had the Italian Style Wedding soup (by Campbells Select Healthy Request) It has little meatballs and spinach with little dumplings....It is a little piece of heaven!
Thanks, Wendy. I'm quoting this so I won't forget to get some at the store. Also....Should we post those most requested recipes somewhere memorable? Edit to put them at the bottom of post 1 maybe?

Stacey.....I have to be on Facebook because I work with college students but the creepy proposition was sorta......ewww. I clearly state on my profile that I am married and that my hobbies are raising kids and doing church work! Please?!? I don't think that makes me sounds like a very good prospect.

I am a registered user on MySpace as well. I like to know what the kids are up to and the only way I can access profiles etc is to be a registered user. (BTW our youth minister networks with the kids in the youth via MySpace.) Anyway....these days everybody has to be set to "private". :scared:

Disney Jo, I was going to be a smart aleck and googled English hello - and found a funny dictionary of words common in Englang that mean different things here... I spent way too much time :rotfl2: and only remember the naughty words!! :rotfl2: I do read 2 -3 Regency England Romance novels a week, so I hit a few phrases, it still tickles my fancy tho - for example...

Monday I worked at a school, went to the teachers privvy and sat my bum down, only to have it feel heated!! :rotfl2: yep, somehow the pipes were not working correctly and the hot water was going down the toilet, but when I was telling the story to dh, dd came in and said "Mom, who says "bum"' :rotfl2: (I too have been listening to Disney Jo!! and I wear a Mary Poppins disney pin on my name tag, the kids love it, and after all I too am "practically perfect"... :rotfl2:

Today was bad. Real bad, emotional. I was a mess most the day. Just one thing after another and it really got to me. I wont go into detail, but most of it is about us trying to decide on what to do for my DD's school for next year. I am torn between 2 decisions and they both make me feel like a loser mom in different ways. Have you ever cried so much your eyes seem foggy? Yeah, thats me tonight.

D- McDonalds :scared: Yeah I was bad, but I was exhausted from my day and had nothing left to even try to make dinner. Chicken sandwich, fries AND a coke.:sad2: (20.5)

I am currently resisting the urge to go eat some m&m's I have in the cupboard...for emergencies :eek:

I went over by 3 pts for my day but I have flex points for the week so my week isnt 'ruined'. As long as I get back on the wagon tomorrow. I did get my water in but I stunk on the veggie front today. Oh well. Hopefully it will be a better and easier day all the way around for me.

JUst want to stop and give a :hug: and :wizard: I have a ds who is "special needs" and trying to find his place in the school district did produce many tears - and many years after.. (he's 21 now) it strengthens are bond of love - it creates a stronger you, knowing you are in this world to advocate for your child, to educate yourself, to stay one step ahead of those pencil pushers, never ever an easy job, but the rewards are in the {hugs} and love you reap!! Hang tough... and I am impressed, you went to Mickey D's and used up 20 points, BUT look, you jumped right back on the wagon, reassesed you points, and made it through - Doesnt today look brighter??

Thanks for the encouragement EEyore. I used to be a nanny for 3 special needs children, so I know what a challenge that can be! I saw all the struggles she went through with her kids schools. What a nightmare that can be.

We are just dealing with preschool, but here it is really competitve and no matter which school I choose she still may not end up in the best place for her. Her 'issue' is that she is actually too bright for her age group. She misses the kindergarten cuttoff this year, but not by much, so I am really having a hard time finding a good place to send her we can afford. If I pick the 'cheaper' place, she may be more bored but it is longer hours to prepare her for real school. If I choose the more expensive place, the hours are short and she may not even get in! Registration starts at 9 and I am headed there now to get in line. It is like waiting for concert tickets or something!:rotfl:

Anway, after I am done I have to go nad see Dr, he said I would have to come in to go ver results this am, so 11:30 am is my appointment. DH offered to go along, thought that was very kind but insisted he go to work.

He eats way too much stuff when he is home and it is so hard not to want ot munch too!!! HOpe everyone is in good health and good spirits today!

You know the Soup commercials that say "I'm on the chicken Noodle diet" I have been eating Progresso soups or Campbells Healthy Request soups for lunches. Well tonight for dinner I had the Italian Style Wedding soup (by Campbells Select Healthy Request) It has little meatballs and spinach with little dumplings....It is a little piece of heaven! Only 120 calories per cup serving and 2.5 gr. fat. SO good! I also had a nice big Spring Mix salad with squirt-squirt dressing. I feel all good like it's a HUGE accomplishment!!!!

I LOVE the Italian Wedding Soup!!! I had a friend make it for my family when we were having financial difficulties and it was the best!!! I haven't made it in awhile, so I'll have to do that! Thanks for reminding me of it!!

eazy peezy snacks for the mom on the go:

100 cal packs,(cause your gonna want something sweet)
south beach bars (these have WW 3 pts but might save you from something worse)
veggie chips
wheat thins
string cheese
apples, clementines, grapes
almonds, nuts (premeaseure a serving size)
baked lays (premeasure serving size snack bags, so that when you grab one you auto know this is ___ pts/cals)
south beach cookies YUM
Luna bars
baggie of cereal(like Kashi, cheerios)


I wish that I could get aay from the packaged treats, but when on the go, it pays to be prepared...remember the 7 P's

I am ssssssoooooo far behind!!! I think I have to go back to page 365 to start catching up (I was in FL at Gasparilla pirate: all weekend and came back and they had DISboards blocked from usage at work...the NERVE of them! Like they think I should be working instead of Dissing:confused: ...some people :sad2: ). So I fast tracked and just read yesterday and today.

I am waiting for this to happen to me at work. I found out Mon they blocked Disney.com! I wasn't happy!!!

There was a soup recipe posted here a while ago, is it 0 pts or 1 pt per cup? I found another copy of it but there was conflicting info about the points. Mine has fat free broth, tomatoes, green beans, zuchinni and cabbage in it. I'll count it as 1 pt/cup until I know for sure.

Your version sounds like 0 points to me. Not much different from the original recipe.

How many of you are coffee drinkers and how much do you drink a day, how do you like it (Cream, Splenda, ff creamer, sugar...)decaf, real???

I am a decaffenated coffee drinker and like it with a tablespoon of FF Hazelnut creamer and 1 Splenda. I drink 2 LARGE cups (12oz each) a day. Could this be inhibiting my weight loss??

Thanks for your opinions and answers!!!

I got on the scale as I occasionally do, and it said +3 :scared: By now I know not to panic, because that's what I'd tell you guys if it happened to one of you. But still! I really need to be more mindfull of everything I do!!! I'm just being lazy not writing everything down and drinking more soda and not exercising etc ETC. This is a familiar pattern for me. I hope it's just water retention because my chest is tender and I am bloated.

My weight DOES fluxuate several pounds, so I'm not going to worry. I just need to be wayyyy more diligent! It's NOT ever easy, In fact it's aLOT easier to just eat however I want and sit on my bum.

My children's school is converting to year round next year. We were allowed to make our track preferences, and I based mine on the possibility of free dining and Disney's value seasons. Is that sad? :confused3 My first choice has them out last two weeks in Aug and first week in Sept. Second choice they will be out the last three weeks in Sept. We will know by mid March....just in time in case free dining is offered!

step away from that scale!!! ;) I made the mistake of getting on the scale last friday, at night ( the WORST TIME TO WEIGH) and freaked at a small gain it showed. But you are right, we flucuate and should not panic..but i totally know how you feel...Peeps don't want to see those #s go up for anything!

OH and i finally remembered to sprinkle flaxseed on my high fiber cereal with skim milk ( i like Organic Slim Optimum..11 g of fiber in a cup!)...so here's hoping it treats me "right " :rotfl:

I've been trying to stay off the scale. Since I'm in maintenance mode and the scale fluctuates daily, I'm trying to just weigh every week so I don't get all :scared: when the scale is off. I'm in PMS mode too. See...we are synching up. :laughing:

Gayle.......I drink about 3 cups of half caff every day and only with whole milk...nothing sweet. I budget my milk....pour one cup out to cream my coffee with and when it's gone...it's gone. I used to drink coffee at work too but have given it up in favor of the nice spring water dispenser in the workroom and I think it's made a difference. I'm not consuming my normal coffee/milk and the creamer in addition.

Good luck with the flax seed! Hungry-girl.com recommends Fiber One at 14 gr. fiber per half cup serving. I think I'll try it when my all bran's gone.

I try not to do the frozen meals, but when i do i am partial to Lean Cuisines ( the pizzas and paninis are actually VERY GOOD) and the Amy's organics..HOWEVER for smart ones i have tried the spinach lasagne one and manicotti and they were fine, and low in points.. i like the Smart Ones desserts though..:)

I drink 2 cups per day. Splenda and creamer. Creamer counts 1 point, but I never count it b/c of flex points. When I have a lot of points left over for a day or a lot of flex points I will go to coffee shop and get a latte.
