Disappearing Magic Bands...??

I had already customized all 5 of our Bands for our upcoming trip but now when I log-in I am missing 2 of them, for my 10 mo old and my 2 year old. Did they do away with letting the kids under 3 also get them all the sudden?

My 10 mo old won't care or know the difference but if my 2 year old doesn't get one and he sees his 4 year old brother with one he might have a tantrum...

I didn't think kids under 3 ever received them? They don't need their own tickets, do they? I'd guess if you asked nicely, your resort might just give you one that's not attached to an account. It might cause confusion at the park gates, though.

Just received mine in the mail yesterday for my February trip and my 15 month old got one too. I was kind of surprised since I'm sure she won't wear it.

So far all people going have been able to get the Bands, like I said, as of just a couple of days ago we all had them.....

We don't go until November, but my dd1 still has a MB in our account. Hopefully that won't change as she will be 2 when we go and have 4 other littles going that will all have bands. Hopefully yours is just a temporary glitch.

I don't have any insight, but it is clearly one of two things:

A. A glitch in the system. (A very plausible scenario)

B. A change in policy that now only those who need park tickets will be eligible to get MagicBands. (This is also very plausible. Those under 3 really don't need MagicBands for anything. They don't need a ticket to enter the park, don't need to make FP+ selections, and are not eligible for charging privileges. This move would save Disney some money, but might make for jealous younger siblings as you have mentioned)

It's a glitch, and I assume it has something to do with the under 3's. My 2 year old's band disappeared all of a sudden too, I called Disney and they were able to fix it, but not before they told me there was no record of him on the reservation . Turns out it was a MDE issue, as he was always showing up on the reservation side. Just call.

The MB s for my husband recently disappeared from MDE. We used to have 8 to customize (we have a split stay, family of 4), suddenly it says 6 and it's my husband's that are missing. Makes no sense as he shows up on the resort reservations, ADRs and has a ticket connected to him like everyone else in my account I'm waiting a while to see if it fixes itself before calling.

Calling was of ZERO help. Tomorrow is last day to customize so I will just see what happens.

Call again until you get someone who can help you. What did they tell you on the phone?

The first CM said " I have no knowledge about if kids under 3 get MB's", I explained that I had MB's for them but they disappeared, and she said only techs can see that and transferred me to IT.

The IT guy said it would be fixed, but I am highly doubtful it will be by tomorrow, which is my last day to customize.

I really don't have time to call back and be on hold forever again, I am at work.

We had problems in November with the MBs.
Nothing showed on MDE, so I called and sat on the phone for half an hour with IT while she"placed the order" for our names and colors.
She promised the bands would be at the resort when we got there.
Nothing ever did show up on MDE, which made me doubtful about receiving the MBs.
Sure enough, we got there to check in, and no MBs.
The manager did everything she could to track down the order, figure out who the IT person was, etc.
No record anywhere of me having talked to IT, let alone an order having been placed for the MBs.
So I basically wasted all the time on the phone, as well as about two hours of time at the resort, just to get gray MBs at check in.

There are definitely glitches in the system, and I really don't think the IT ppl are doing anything in the way of placing orders when they say they are.
There were other guests who had had the same problems, and the same conversations were going on time and again.
